Dexter - 108 - Shrink Wrap

I just finished episode 8 of "Dexter"
I knew the doc was The Ice Truck Killer from the second I layed eyes on him! I knew it!
Nice reveal though.
Not to happy that they revealed it already, but on the other hand now we get to see both sides of the "relationship" that he and Dexter shares, which will be fun.
Feel sorry for Dexter's sister though, she'll fall to pieces when she finds out.

Loved the sessions with the shrink, that was a fun turn-around on it all.
Is Tony Goldwyn doomed to play baddies for the rest of his life?
The flashback thing was good though, Dexter got a snippet from before he was adopted, I knew it would be coming, didn't expect that to happen this soon either.

Hmm, I keep saying things are happening fast, but this is episode 8, and I haven't had to wait...

Am really enjoying this show, and it's morbid humor. Never really thought this would be something I'd enjoy, but was happy to be proved wrong.
I recommend it to y'all on my flist.

I liked the end. I have picked up on some people who weren't to happy, but I liked it. Sure if I'd been in charge I'd have changed a few things, but that's just minor stuff.

I do want to read the books at some point, but I'm in no hurry.

I, for one, was happy quite a lot.

Same with me about the books. Besides, with 'Dexter' being so good with the surprise and tension elements, it really makes no sense at all to spoil yourself. You miss half the fun this way. THere are just this moments sometimes, ususally right after I watched an episode, when I really really want more. I try to be strong, though.

I agree about the books. I'm sure they will provide their own element, so I'd rather read them after I've seen the series.
Usually I read the books first, but this series needs that uncertainty.

I'm now on the fence about Book 1. Season 1 is over, so it is mostly safe, but it's not like they followed the books to the letter, they might have switched some smaller elements between two parts, and this teeny tiny thing won't be a mystery for me anymore in the new season. I knew it's better to wait longer, at least after we are through yet another season, but, damn, the temptation is still there.

From what I've heard it's taken directly from the book. So you wouldn't be spoiled. But I'm not sure...
I have lots of other books to read first anyway, so it'lle be a while till I get the books, and a while longer till I read them.

Good point. I've fallen tragically behind on reading in general. And that considering that I used to read a lot in high school. I don't seem to have enough patience for that nowadays, when movies and tv shows are so tantalizingly accessible. It was probably the Internet that ruined me for books. Sad, really.
Anyway, if I finally get to actually read something ('Star Wars' novelisations don't count, they are an addiction, not serious literature) I at least should read something that's new, not just recycle the stories that I already know.

Me too. I've been reading the same book for well over a year now, I haven't been inspired to read lately. It's a good book so I can't blame the book.
Tv and the Internett has taken over those quiet moments I used to read.
I have a few books waiting for me, so want to read those first.

I miss reading. I'm still too lazy to do something about it (reading a book takes much more time and effort that watching something, that's an inconvenient fact), but I really miss it a lot. I'm always telling myself that one day I'm going to give myself a kick in the ass and just start reading.
It never actually happens, of course.

I totally get it, couldn't agree more. Feel the same way about reading at the moment.
