I might give the books a try. I see potential in the show, I just feel they keep taking the easy way out. I've suffered through Joanna's performances before, it was okay then, but she butchered this character. Might pick up one of the books just to know how that character was supposed to be. Are the books very different? How many are there?
There are quite a few differences between the two. The show is entertaining, but the books are brilliant. The first book is a little awkward, but the first ones always are.
I tried to watch this show after I read books. And let me tell you: I can handle many awful things, but I couldn't watch it more than 5 minutes. Books are so much better. *hugs*

It's really difference. I like Harry from the book (he looks little like Sam. OK, he has only Sam's height) And the show? Ew. Try to read book. It's cute :)
