Only 21 days ago... pffft

Let's jump in the DeLorean and take a trip to last month.

Video weekend

Had a calm morning, nothing major. Packed my little bag and met JC and Sol at Blockbuster. We rented Layer Cake, Ella Enchanted and Saved! and headed bacl to their flat. JC and I went to get the pizzas while Sol tidied the flat a little bit. When we got back we found or spots in front of the TV and saw Ella Enchanted. It's a very simple film, and I've read that the fans of the book hated it, but we all thought it was sweet. After that we watched two episodes of LOST starting with ep. 7.

We followed that with Saved!, which I loved, and ordered from Play.com the next day. Though I must admit I have a weak spot for movies that poke fun at organized religions, and such. I'm surprised that it didn't do better when it was released. The funny thing is thoug, that I now have the DVD, but it's coming to the cinema here in Norway on the 17th of June!

After the movie we watched two more episodes of LOST, before we finally watched Layer Cake. I wanted to watch the movie, because the director; Matthew Vaughn, is the guy who has been chosen to direct X-Men 3, so I wanted to see what he could do. We found the movie confusing, and had a hard time keeping track of all the people involved. I liked the ending very much though, but think It'll need a second viewing. Some of the confusion clould be blamed on the late hour, but that didn't stop us from watching more LOST afterwards, think we were up until 5 a.m. before we went to bed.

Got up at about 10 a.m. and continued watching LOST, we got all the way to ep 18 before we had to head back to the house since Sol was working. So that was the movie weekend, you'd think it was over, but we ended up watching Finding Neverland in the study room with a few other people. Was an ok movie. Thought it was a bit over hyped... it didn't hit me the way it should I guess.

Okay, now we can jump back into the DeLorean and go to the weekend some of you really wanted to know about, hehe.

COLLECTORMANIA 7

Got up early and headed out, totally ready to be there early. What do I learn when I'm buying my train tickets? There is no train going up until the afternoon, so I'd have to catch a bus. Rather annoying. Luckely it was a direct bus, so I got there only about 30 minutes late. There was a truckload of people there, totally crazy. I was to late to get the tickes for James Marsters, for [livejournal.com profile] isil80 . He was obviously one of the main attractions this time around. But I was there for Alan Cumming, and since he was [livejournal.com profile] isil80 's back up it worked out fine. It didn't really take much time before it was my turn to meet the fuzzy blue elf. Of course when I got in the line to meet him, he went off to lunch and was gone for an hour, nobody told us.

While we were waiting some guy was going around with a microphone calling out how far they'd gotten with the various guests. Sean Astin got a hold of the microphone, jumped up on his table and started entertaining us. So sweet. He was singing, and talking and just having fun. And if somebody knows a place I can upload quicktime, I could show you! ;)

Finally I got to meet Alan Cumming, he seemed a little stressed, and it didn't help that one of the assistan people had no idea how to work my camera, so it was all over to soon. I had to spell mine and [livejournal.com profile] isil80 's names for him. He was a bit confused, but said he thought my name was easier. That's all I got, before I had to bugger off. Didn't get a good picture, sadly. Ah well, at least I met him! :D

I didn't feel like leaving right away, since it was only 14:00 o'clock. So I went around looking at what they had to offer. Signed up on a Serenity mailing list, bought some stuff. Kept my eyes open for a guy with a Hellboy backpack, sadly [livejournal.com profile] trav28  didn't make it. Maybe next time!

I left Collectormania happy and tired. Got back to the house, bought some pizza and just relaxed. :D

Pics will be up in the next post! :D

Jumping back in the DeLorean we return to today, and continue having a nice weekend.
