Finally saw Daredevil yesterday. I liked it better than when I saw it at the cinema.. kind of got over the end fight issue I had. Want a sequel.. what's been taking them so long? Guess I'll just have to get my hands on the director's cut, it is supposed to be better, and might solve some of the things that did bug me. It needs a little more meat in the beginning, the relationship between Matt and Elektra just happens, and goes to intensity waaay to fast. Bullseye just seems to pop up here and there and then go a bit ballistic, he needed a bit more to do. I'm not a big Colin Farrell, but they could have given him a little more screentime maybe?

Despite what people say I liked Ben Affleck in the role as Daredevil. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Garner either, but she did okay. All in all, I like the film, and am thinking I want to buy my own copy. :)

Now for the reason I saw the movie. It was really so I could get my comic-book-movie-rating-list in order, but it's easier said than done. My old one can be foun HERE. It's been a while, and there have been a few new comic book movies since then, so here goes.

COMIC BOOK LIST )

Just got a message from work if I could come in and take the 14-19 shift, no fucking way, got two ekstra hours on my shift yesterday, and when I fiunally have one day off I'm not going over there. Just so tired of work, and doesn't help that I never get more than one day off at a time. 12th of August is my last day, looking forward to it.
Got totally wiped after my go in the cart rental booth on Saturday, my back still hurts, hehe, I was so not made for hard labour, lifting heavy things and such.

Has a trip to the cinema on the 8th and saw "Fantastic 4" with [livejournal.com profile] beluga, [livejournal.com profile] isil80, [livejournal.com profile] laraneia and her hubby Ray.
I was an okay movie, not fantastic, but innocent fun. I had fun with it and it might actually end up in my collection at some point... It had some of the same structual faults as Daredevil, but I liked the characters, and it's obvious that this film is just a buildup for the next movie.
The end fight was way to short. Actually on of the same things that bugged me about Daredevil..hehe. Am wondering how it'll be in the next movie. I will go see the next movie. In short, much better than I'd expected, but not what I would be jumping up and down for.

Saw Constantine yesterday for the third time. I really do like that movie. [livejournal.com profile] isil80 hadn't seen it, so I picked her up after work and we took it easy at my place. She knew I had a shitty day at work so she made me a CD, lots of great music on it. Thank you honey!
We took it easy saw the movie and two Buffy eps. Anyways, about the film. I do really like it, it's style and such is really cool. I like the camera angles and color use, and I think hell is really well made as well. I've gotten over the hissing devil, he is portayed rather like a lizzard, which I don't think I've seen before, but it works. :)

Okay.. have I got anything more to write about? Hmmm... *thinks*

The first real trailer for the Fantastic 4 has finally been released, and it actually is starting to look tempting to me.

Capped some pictures from the trailer, mainly for [livejournal.com profile] beluga , but anybody can have a peak. )

Noticed something that only confirmed my suspicions, Ioan (Richards) doesn't have the whiltein his hair before 'the change'. Don't know how it was in the comic, but in the movie they seem to go for the trauma-ála-Rogue.

HSX has received the latest list of official release dates from Exhibitor Relations Co. (ERC) and both Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox had some announcements you might be interested in.

The former has set Batman Begins for a June 17, 2005 release date and the latter will be bringing X-Men 3 to theaters on May 5, 2006.

This also means that Fox's Fantastic Four is not going up against Batman, and is now by itself on July 1, 2005. Currently there is no competition for X3 yet on its date.

Lets just hope this is true, and that there won't be any delays...2006 is far enough away as it is!

Jackman and Donner Talk X3!
The X2 cast and crew seem eager to return for another helping of mutant life, as they've made comments on the future X3. Today, X1/X2 Producer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, give X3 mentions:
Chicago Sun-Times interviewed Donner about her upcoming flick she's producing, CONSTANTINE, and she gave her opinions on the possible X3, saying "Oh, there will definitely be X3. We're looking for a great story. We're lucky with this series because there is 40 years of great stories in comics. I hope Halle comes back. We just have to give her something great to do." As for a release date, she says, "That same nice May date in 2005 sounds good to me."
Superhero Hype's scooper, gave this quote from Hugh Jackman, when he appeared on GMTV this morning:
"Well, it'll be a few years off, but I am ties to the character of Wolverine and really do want to know how his story progresses. I owe a lot to Wolverine, and I love working with Bryan Singer and Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan and the guys, so I'd be silly to throw it all away, so yes...when they're ready, I'm there."

X-Men 3 First, Then a Wolverine Spin-Off!
The Sydney Morning Herald talked to Lauren Shuler Donner about the X-Men franchise and she has some very good news for the fans.
Hugh Jackman could soon have his own superhero movie franchise. A plan is being developed in Hollywood to spin off Jackman's popular X-Men character, Wolverine, into a separate film. X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner said she was developing X-Men 3 and planned to follow it up with the Wolverine movie, with Jackman starring in both.
"The ideal thing will be to do Wolverine after X-Men 3 and that's what we plan to do," Shuler Donner said. "We'll probably develop Wolverine at the same time, but we'll do X3 then we'll do Wolverine."
And all the fans gather to do a collective cheer of YES!

Singer & Arad on X3, Wolverine Spin-Off & More!
About.com caught up with X-Men series director Bryan Singer and Marvel Studios' Avi Arad and asked about X-Men 3, the Wolverine spin-off, The Punisher, Blade: Trinity, Spider-Man 2 and Fantastic Four. Here's a snippit from the article...
Arad said, "Well, if she told you we are prepping, we must be prepping." A flabbergasted Singer said, "Uh, great! Awesome. I don't think I can talk about it, but I'd like to make X3 very much, so we'll see if we can work it out."
Stories reported that not only is Shuler-Donner planning X3, but a separate Wolverine film. Singer's response to that was, "I don't know. I think an X-men film is simultaneously a Wolverine film, so in my opinion that's something that might happen afterwards, but ultimately I can't even talk about it." Arad added, "I think that both concepts are valid and both will be made."
