Yesterday started out quiet, I did what I suspect to be doing every friday, franctically searching for a download link of the newest episode of Supernatural, watching it download, and then waiting for
beluga to come by so we can watch it. She got here early yesterday, not long after I'd finally gotten down a good version. We sat talking for a while before we finally sat down and watched the wpisode. Have put my thoughts on it behind the cut.
Supernatural - 202 - Everybody Loves a Clown
I loved this episode, I can't really add much to the reviews I've read, but will give you my views.
Clowns have never creeped me out, and they still don't. This episode obviously decided to focus more on what the boys were going through than the scary bit, which I was very happy about. There are too many shows where a main or important character dies and after one wpisode of grieving everything's back to normal. Both Sam and Dean will be struggeling with this for a long time, and I suspect Dean is heading for some kind of meltdown. I don't see that happening till the end of the season, but you never know.
Both boys did a wonderful job with the scenes revolving around John's death. Many have commented on Dean's single tear, and I have to say I loved that too. He's trying so hard to be strong and not letting it get to him, but we can all see that it has. Sam's reaction is also very natural. He has a lot of guilt to carry too, and he's doing the best to work through it. I do however think that Sam is the one that will manage, he'll end up having to support Dean through this.
I'm still waiting for that hug, Kripke!!
Somehow I think when Dean said: "You know what, you're right. Come here, I want to lay my head gently on your shoulder. Maybe we can cry, hug, maybe even slow dance." it was the writers way of letting us know that a hug isn't coming anytime soon, which I do understand considering what kind of guys Sam and Dean are. I'm still pretty sure that it's coming though.
I'm still not sure how I feel about Jo, I've been told that nothing will happen between her or either of the boys this season, which I'm pretty happy about. I don't think she got enough screentime for me to fully make up my mind about her. If she gets to kick some demon ass I know she'll grow on me.
I liked Ellen though, she seemed like a though chick. And I can totally see her having worked with John, and also how they could have had a falling out. I want a story or something about that.
Ash... Ash has to be one of my fave guest stars up to this point. It was just to brilliant, him being a genious and all. I can just picture him at MIT, Lol. and the look he gave Dean when Dean wanted to touch the super-computer. And he said 'fugly', which just scores so many points!
Ash: If this fugly bastard raises its head, I'll know. I mean I'm on it like divine on dog dookie.
Dean driving the Van was just to funny as well. I couldn't stop laughing. Don't get me wrong, I could feel his pain. But it was kind of like watching a hard metall band dressed in pink tutus, just so wrong.
I loved that Sam has a fear of clowns, which also led to one of the greatest exchanges between Dean and Sam.
Dean: You still bust out crying whenever you see Ronald McDonald on the television.
Sam: At least I'm not afraid of flying.
Dean: Planes crash!
Sam: And apparently clowns kill.
Sam didn't even deny that he's afraid of clowns, just to funny. Plus it was a link back to one of my favourite episodes of season one, so that just made it even better for me.
I liked the bit where Dean gets hassled by the blind guy and the little guy. He just looked like he was starting to panic, and Sam just laughing at him. Though i felt Dean got his payback when he made Sam sit in the Clown chair.
So many great funny moments in this episode. I know there are more I could mention, but you guys have seen the episode, you know.
Now, for the psinful parts. Sam and Dean's argument out on the road. I know that was painful for Sam to hear, but it was true. However, Dean needs to face his pain as well. I do understand him though. People asking you if you're all right can get pretty aggravating in the long run, it's like you're trying to move on, but they won't let you. The thing here is that Dean is trying to move on before he's faced it, which will end up breaking him at some point.
I loved the end of the episode. Not that I enjoy it when Dean is in pain, but that was a very powerful scene. I started freaking when he started hitting the Impala, but what else could help him vent as good as that? He's not able to voice his anger and sadness, so he takes it out on the one thing that reminds him of John, the Impala. Just so incredibly sad.
I can't wait until the next episode. Is it thursday yet?
Of course
beluga and I watched the episode twice. I can see that becoming a habit, but I don't mind, especially if the show keeps up this kind of quality. After our second viewing we just sat talking for a while. Of course some of it was about Supernatural, and how we think things will develop for the boys in the future. We also talked about other stuff. Was fun.
We ended up watching "Psych: Who Ya Gonna Call? (#1.7)" followed by "House M.D.: Informed Consent (#3.3)". It was getting late.
isil80 came, and we all headed out to the cinema to watch 'Little Miss Sunshine'.
beluga's BF joined us as well. We all really enjoyed the movie. It had so much charm.
More thoughts behind the cut.

And a duet with the two previous artists.
Not much else to tell at the moment. My mom isn't feeling to well, but she's got some meds so she should be fine.
The family who bought the house stopped by again today to have a look around.
I think I'll finally finish season 1 of "Prison Break".
I have a request from you guys. I know there are some words I mispell all the time. Some words I have up to 4 different ways of spelling. So if you notice that I keep misspelling a word, would you mind just telling me. Typos you can leave a lon, but if there's something I keep spelling wrong. Tell me. Thanks. :)

For me this film was a rollercoaste of emotion. Somethings hit a bit close to home, while other things were just so bizarre. I loved this film. I had expected that I would enjoy it, but not as much as I did. It could never have come out of a big Hollywood studio, they are incabable of bringing this much charm and hart to the screen.
All the actors did a great job, I was very pleasantly suprised by Steve Carell, I've never been his biggest fan. Here he showed that he can do something other that slapstick comedy, and it was very refreshing.
Toni Collette is always great, I don't think I've ever seen her do a bad performance. The only one I'll say something negative about is Greg Kinnear, I'm not saying he did a bad job, it's just that I was very aware of the fact that he was Greg Kinnear.
Both kids; Abigail Breslin and Paul Dano were great. In that scene where Dwayne discovers that he's colorblind and all his dreams just dissapear in a split second. That was just so painful, my heart broke for him.
Olive's dance at the end just killed me, especially when Richard and Frank joined her on stage and Dwayne and Sheryl followed. It was just brilliant. When Olive first started I thought 'WTF!?!', but it was just to damn funny.
Not a very coherent review, but there's too many thoughts in my brain about it at the moment.
This movie will definetly end up in my DVD collection.

I did use spell check, but it got weird on me. Everything turned red, even the stuff I'd spelled correctly.

I loved the episode, too. I just can't believe how good my show is this season. Perhaps Kripke got the memo early enough that his baby would be going against 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'CSI' and decided on the preemptive action by preparing the goodies for the season extra well. Can't say I disapprove.
I think Dean's meltdown is not so far up the road, too. Perhaps not just round the corner, but still. He's just got too much thrown at him in such a short time.
Do you know that I actually missed the funeral tear? I don't know how I did it. I might have been to focused on Jensen's lips or something.
Actually, having missed it the first time around, I'm going to go on pretending it didn't happen (I'm very good at pretending). It's just I hate this 'single tear' business every time I see it onscreen, be it a movie or a tv show (though I admit it was done pretty well and in an almost not fake way) - people don't cry this way, they get all puffy, red-eyed and messy. Like Sam did. Kudos for Padalecki there.
Loved Ellen and Ash, too. The jury is out for Jo. She'll be in at least one episode more, so we'll see.
And clowns do creep me out.
'Little Miss Sunshine' is so on my to-watch list. Only I'll probably end up downloading it at some point, because there are no signs of it appearing in Polish cinemas any time soon.
Did you know that 'She's So High' was a big hit in Poland, too?
Sorry to here about your mum. I hope she gets better.
I'll do my best to help with the spelling, but I agree with

I'm not a big fan of the single tear generally either, but I think it worked here. It was the right context, and for Dean not to shed a single tear would have been to hard. For the situation I actually thought it fit perfectly.
Sam is more emotional, so his puffy red-eyed crying was right for him. Dean is so desperatly trying to stay strong.
I hope Jo will turn into a good thing. She has potential, and if the writers focus on her as something other than a potential love interest, then I think I might like her.
Hope you get to see 'Little Miss Sunshine' soon. It checked IMDB, it premieres at the Warzaw film festival yesterday. I couldn't find any other dates for it in Poland. But try mailing your local cinema and asking.
It was? That's awesome. I know it did good in Germany. Come to think of it I may have heard it on the radio when I was in Poland. That song was impossible to escape for like a year.
She's already feeling a bit better. Coughing has calmed down, and I know she's very happy about that. Thank you for your concern.
Thanks. It'd not a lot. But there are some words I'm unsure about. And the two words you mentioned are words I misspell all the time. *Grabs dictionary* Thanks for pointing them out. :)
If you're not sure if it's a typo or something you think you've seen me misspell several times, just mention it to me. Am very thankful for it. :)

I don't mind letting you know if you mispell a word sometimes, you're pretty good though! :D

So glad you like 'Sunshine'! I laughed so hard at certain parts.. and yea just proves to don't need a big budget to make quality movies.
I think you said your mom was feeling better?? Hope so :)
And I usually don't like to be the spelling police but i'll let you know if I notice something off.. ;)

The truth hurts, yes, I agree that what Dean said was harsh. But considering where that came from I get it, and in the long run it helped Sam face some of his grief.
The teasing is one of my favourite things about the show too. I think one of the things I really respond to is how well they portray a sibling relationship, and teasing is a part of that.
*Sunshine* was a wonderful film. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Once I get cash I'm buying the DVD.
She's much better now, thank you. Just a little cough left.
Hehe, thanks. Well it's okay now that I'm asking you to do it. ;)

I'm sure Dean means well.. but also he wanted him to stop harping on him, heh. I can definetely relate to the sibling thing.. so true!
Coool :)

Very true, but I can't really blame him there. Get asked enough times if you're okay it does get on ones nerves.
