I really like John. He did an awesome job with them and I think he did all that he could being an only parent and knowing what happened to their mom.

I like him too, so I get a bit extra protective when people start bashing him. I believe he did the best he could, now I don't agree with all his methods, but he tried.
There was no way he was going to let Mary's death just be left behind, he had a job to do.
