My trip over here
Apr. 16th, 2005 09:57 pmbeluga reminded me that I should explain the 'almost' in my entry on arriving safely in London.
Well, I had to take two planes to arrive in London, first to Oslo and then from Oslo to London. Now, I don't have any fear of flying, but I do have a tendency to get airsick. Anyway, the plane trip to Oslo was pure hell, much turbulence at takeoff which didn't help my air sickness. Had to do some breathing techniques to prevent puking. After about 30 minutes it was time to land and the turbulence started again. I swear; I was 2 seconds from throwing up. Then I suddenly get the feeling like my leg is falling asleep, that tingling thing... but it doesn't stop at my leg, suddenly my whole body (except my face) feels like that, and it's like my ribs are trying to push into my organs. It was horrible. My fingers bent as far back as they would go, but they were still together. I have no clue what the hell caused it, but it was freaky. Thought I was going to pass out for a second, I started letting go when the plane reached the gate and I got out off the plane as soon as I felt I could walk. Had 30 mins to get to the next plane, but must say I felt a little relieved when I discovered it had been delayed 30 mins, that way I could relax a little. Anyways, the plane trip to London went fine, no more drama, and here I am. 34 days to go. :)
