* The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist. And like that… he’s gone! – The Usual Suspects * I take away his weapon. Both of them. – Sin City * I aim to misbehave. – Serenity * Gentlemen! You can’t fight in here! This is the war room! – Dr. Strangelove * One Ring to Rule Them All. One Ring to Find Them. One Ring to Bring Them All and In The Darkness Bind Them - LOTR * The hell I send him to is gonna seem like Heaven after what I’ve done to him – Sin City * Tonight we dine in hell! – 300 * He’s not the Messiah. He’s a very naughty boy! – Life of Brian * We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil, which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men. – The Boondock Saints * Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. – FOTR * There's no hope for us here, there is only death. – The Fountain * Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward. – X-Men * We’re gonna need a bigger boat – Jaws * From the ashes, a fire shall be woken. A light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king. – ROTK * Love. You can know all the math in the 'Verse, but take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her home. – Serenity * Even the smallest person can change the course of the future. – FOTR * Man's reach exceeds his imagination! – The Prestige* Mutants. Since the discovery of their existence they have been regarded with fear, suspicion, often hatred. Across the planet, debate rages. Are mutants the next link in the evolutionary chain or simply a new species of humanity fighting for their share of the world? Either way it is a historical fact: Sharing the world has never been humanity's defining attribute. – X2 * How, in the name of Zeus's butthole, did you get out of your cell? – The Rock * When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk – The good, the bad and the ugly * Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country – Patton * I'm just God's sock puppet, ok? He shoves his hand up my ass and words come out the other end. – Jeremiah * Oh, it's not so surprising really. Mankind has always feared what it doesn't understand. Well, don't fear God, Senator, and certainly don't fear me. Not any more. - X-Men * She doesn't quite chop his head off. She makes a Pez dispenser out of him. – Sin City * Why when I talk about faith, do you always assume I'm talking about God? – Serenity * You are a God among insects, never let anyone tell you different. X2 * Every shadow no matter how deep is threatened by morning light. – The Fountain * And Shepherds we shall be For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti. – The Boondock Saints * When an individual acquires great power, the use or misuse of that power is everything, will it be used for the greater good or will it be used for personal or destructive ends? Now this is a question we must all ask ourselves. – X3 * Deadly little Miho. She won't let you feel a thing unless she wants you to. She twists the blade. He feels it. – Sin City * Hobbits really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you. – FOTR * Come a day there won't be room for naughty men like us to slip about at all. This job goes south, there well may not be another. So here is us, on the raggedy edge. Don't push me, and I won't push you. Dong-luh mah? – Serenity * Mutants are not the ones mankind should fear. – X-Men * No parent should have to bury their child. – The Two Towers * It's time to prove to your friends that you're worth a damn. Sometimes that means dying, sometimes it means killing a whole lot of people. – Sin City * How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart, you begin to understand, there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold. – ROTK * How does it look from there Charles? Still fighting the good fight? From here it looks like they're not playing by your rules. Maybe it's time to play by theirs! – X2 * Secrets are not my concern. Keeping them is. – Serenity * We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open. – The Boondock Saints * There is no promise you can make that I can trust.  - The Two Towers * That there is one damn fine coat you're wearin'. – Sin City * I will bring you hope, old friend. And I ask only one thing in return: don't get in my way. We are the future, Charles, not them! They no longer matter! – X-Men * People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome. – Serenity * We will send you to whatever god you wish. – The Boondock Saints * The closer we are to danger, the farther we are from harm. – The Two Towers * This "dorky-looking helmet" is the only thing that's gonna protect me from the real bad guys. – X2 * The man stole my life. I steal his trick. – The Prestige * Hell's waking up every goddamn day and not even knowing why you're here. – Sin City * I don't want to be in a battle. But waiting on the edge of one I can't escape is even worse. – ROTK * You of all people know how fast the weather can change. – X3 * And after I pull off that miracle, maybe I'll go punch out God. – Sin City * I can avoid being seen if I wish, but to disappear entirely, that is a rare gift. – FOTR * Put a bullet to me. Bullet in the brain pan. Squish. – Serenity * You homo sapiens and your guns. – X-Men * Charlie Bronson's always got rope. – The Boondock Saints * Freedom is not free, that it comes with the highest of sacrifices. The price of blood. – 300 * Half of writing history is hiding the truth. – Serenity * I love hitmen. No matter what you do to them, you don't feel bad. – Sin City * It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to. – FOTR * There is no land of tolerance. There is no peace. Not here, or anywhere else. – X-Men * Come back with your shield, or on it. –300 * I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar. – Serenity * I will not say do not weep, for not all tears are an evil. – ROTK * Thanks for having me and my irresponsible child over your house. – Juno * Most people will never know anything beyond what they see with their own two eyes. – X2 * I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman. – Sin City * Give them nothing! But take from them everything! – 300 * You would drink, too, if you knew the world half as well as I do. – The Prestige * Mr. Laurio, never trust a beautiful woman. Especially one who's interested in you. – X2 * It's okay to leave them to die. – Serenity * Jesus, I'm tired. I'm so fucking tired. You know how tired I am? If a girl came up to me and begged me to fuck her, I couldn't do it. That's how tired I am. – Little Miss Sunshine * In chess, the pawns go first. – X3 * Do you know what the definition of a hero is? Someone who gets other people killed. You can look it up later. – Serenity * Can't you read my mind? What now? Save the girl? You'll have to kill me, Charles. And what will that accomplish? Let them pass that law and they'll have you in chains with a number burned into your forehead. – X-Men * Doctors are sadists who like to play God and watch lesser people scream. – Juno * A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to. – FOTR * You know all those dangerous mutants you hear about in the news? I'm the worst one. – X2 * Go tell the Spartans, passerby, that here by Spartan law, we lie.- 300 * I am on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side. – The Two Towers * Mankind is not evil, just... uninformed. – X-Men * All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. – FOTR * Because only Spartan women give birth to real men. - 300 * Don't lecture me about war. This already is a war. – X2 * I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you! – ROTK * Now you're looking for the secret, but you won't find it because you're not really looking. You don't really want to know the secret. You want to be fooled. – The Prestige * You should've killed me when you had the chance! – X2 * The fate of the world will now be decided. – The Two Towers * Have you ever tried... not being a mutant? – X2 * Don't leave me here alone. Don't go where I can't follow. – ROTK * If you wanna to shoot me, shoot me! – X2 * There's no strength left in the world of men. – FOTR * Too much iron in your blood. – X2 * I'm glad to be with you, Samwise Gamgee, here at the end of all things. – ROTK * I'm fed up saving your ass. I'm amazed you made it past puberty. – The Rock * If we die, you die. – X2 * Men? Men are weak. – FOTR * I need to know that it's possible that two people can stay happy together forever. - Juno * There never was much hope. Just a fool's hope. – ROTK * No one cares about the man in the box, the man who disappears. – The Prestige * Let's hunt some Orc. – FOTR * I'm already pregnant, so what other kind of shenanigans could I get into? – Juno * The days are growing darker. – ROTK * The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and that before this battle is over, even a god-king can bleed. - 300 * I do not fear death. – ROTK * There's two kinds of people in this world, there's winners and there's losers. Okay, you know what the difference is? Winners don't give up.- Little Miss Sunshine * I am no man! – ROTK *

Sorry it took so long, but I can finally give you my review of 'Simon Said'. So kind of some of you guys to keep asking me for my review. :)

Anyways, like I briefly touched on in my last review, some people seemed to have some issues with this episode, I'll touch on that a little as I go along. As for me, I loved this episode. I absolutely adored it. I still can't believe the greatness that is season 2 of 'Supernatural'. Kripke, I bow down to your greatness!

Now, let's continue to a more detailed review:

Am still looking forward to finally seeing it though. I've been following its progress since X2, so will be nice to finally get to see it.

EDIT: Okay, changed this post a little bit, made it in to a meme, after I managed to find all the covers. I've had this meme up before, but thought it'd be a bit tidier this way.

If you choose to do the meme, you can do it with anything, films/dvd/foodstuffs - whatever you choose.

Tell me which movies we both own.
Tell me the ones you are suprised by me owning
Tell me why I am sad for owning a particular title.

So yesterday after my post, my headache was letting go, so I put on 'X2', wasn't quite able to keep up with that one either, but was better than earlier in the day. Still lovin' the fridge scene. *daydreams*

So went to bed at about 00:00, couldn't sleep at all. Got up at 06:00, got ready and we piled in a taxi to get to the boat. When we got there, we found out we were 45 mins to early... oh, how fun. :p I was surprisingly awake actually. We got on the boat which left at about 08:15. Had breakfast, and just relaxed on the way to Denmark, I had a flu bug annoying me, and my nose was running like crazy. Had a trip to the tax-free, bought some chocolate. Arrived in Denmark, sat on the boat, and the it headed back to Norway. Headace decided to return at that time, and that didn't really help much. Boat trip went fine, we had dinner and just relaxed. My nose started clearing up, but I was left with the headache. We got back at about 18:15. [livejournal.com profile] beluga  picked us up, went home, tried to relax a bit befor the cinema.

My head was starting to get a bit better when we headed to the cinema, which was good. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] isil80. They gave me a Marvel superhero bed spread as a going away present, it had Wolverine on it! Damn cool! Thanks again sweeties!

We went into the theatre, got free chocolate, hurray! And watched 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Was doing really well, and the headace had decided to leave me, when the movie is interrupted by this horrible sound, high picthed tone, think it lasted at least 5 minutes, the disruption in the movie was longer than that. By the time they figured out what was wrong, my headache was back, and worse. The movie started again, and I tried to relax.

The movie itself was good, brought to mind the lessons I had at school about musical, perticulary 'The Wizard of Oz'. I liked it, but will write more about that later.

My head is bugging me, feeling kind of sick on top of that, so am heading for bed in a little while. Can't be bothered to check spelling...

Tomorrow there's packing and other exiting stuff. ;p

Finally saw Daredevil yesterday. I liked it better than when I saw it at the cinema.. kind of got over the end fight issue I had. Want a sequel.. what's been taking them so long? Guess I'll just have to get my hands on the director's cut, it is supposed to be better, and might solve some of the things that did bug me. It needs a little more meat in the beginning, the relationship between Matt and Elektra just happens, and goes to intensity waaay to fast. Bullseye just seems to pop up here and there and then go a bit ballistic, he needed a bit more to do. I'm not a big Colin Farrell, but they could have given him a little more screentime maybe?

Despite what people say I liked Ben Affleck in the role as Daredevil. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Garner either, but she did okay. All in all, I like the film, and am thinking I want to buy my own copy. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for the reason I saw the movie. It was really so I could get my comic-book-movie-rating-list in order, but it's easier said than done. My old one can be foun HERE. It's been a while, and there have been a few new comic book movies since then, so here goes.
COMIC BOOK LIST )
Had a good day, not that I've done much. Just put out the icons for you guys, hope you like them, are in the previous post.
Have gotten positive reactions to the christmas presents I gave this year, which is very nice. :) Isen and [livejournal.com profile] beluga  loved their signed copies of "There and Back Again, an actors Tale" by Sean Astin. Knew Isen would love it, as she wanted the book, the sell for [livejournal.com profile] beluga  would be the signature. They were both really happy.
Still waiting for some other feedback, but that might have to wait until morning.
I got a lot of cool stuff this year. My parents got me a editing program and a web-camera for the computer, which rocks! So now I'll be editing my films like mad when I'm done with my exams in January, and get the moth off. :)
Got a headset with a microphone for the computer from aunt and uncle in Poland, also much needed.
Aunt in Germany got me a cute sweater, mittens and really soft scarf.
My cousin cave me a funky rock, that you put on this thingy, and it changes color. Very pretty, I like stuff like that.
[livejournal.com profile] beluga  got me a very nice top and the first two books in the LiveShip trilogy, muchly appreciated. Love Robin Hobb's writing, and need something to do in London after christmas since I only have one day of school a week. She also gave me some X2 clippings
Ivy got me the Keane - Hopes and Fears CD, very nice and calm music. She also gave me a framed picture of me holding her son, when he was only a month old. Really sweet.
Isen gave me a Glitter Lamp and Schindler's List  on DVD, actually never seen the entire film, so am looking forward to it.
Camelia gave me a Toblerone bar and the Van Helsing DVD. Gonna watch it soon.
I also got a fondue set from some acquaintances of my parents, very cool. Will test it out soon.
That's it for this year, very pleased. My parents loved the stuff I'd gotten them. I gave them two pressies each, my mom was worried that I'd spent too much. Silly. Might write more tomorrow, shold actually be focusing all my energy on the second essay this week, so we'll see how far I'll get tomorrow. :)
HAVE A NICE WEEK!
I'm leaving tomorrow, don't really want to. Right now, crawling behind the sofa and staying there until thursday sounds more tempting, but it'll pass.
Wish me luck Wednesday morning, I'm going to need it.
Had a quiet day today, packed my stuff and sorted some stuff.. Saw "Back to the Future, part 1". Been feeling a little nostalgic, so I just had to watch it, still get stressed at the end. Saw "Phone booth" with my dad. Mum started out watching it with us, but got bored. Dad, on the other hand, liked it.
Am bored right now, so guess what!? That's right, another me quiz, maybe you'll learn something new. Feel free to nab and use yourself. I've stolen this one from [livejournal.com profile] curbsideprophet. If you wanna know, go on to the madness )
X2
I just watched "X2". Gawd how I love that movie! Seriously, I have something I love in almost every scene.
I noticed something this time. Guess this will be more interesting for [livejournal.com profile] tygerx than any others. The scene where Logan is having his nightmare at the mansion, in the second he jerks awake, you can her a woman screaming.
Now according to something I read, Stryker was supposed to make a reference to Silverfox, while Logan had him pinned against the chopper. Maybe that's her screaming?
Wathced "X-Men" on telly on sunday. First time ever they showed it on a semi-open channel over here. Had to compare it with the english tv-version as well. They actually didn't cut anything that I could tell. Before the movie started they said that the recommended age for viewing was 15, and that was it. The english version had cut downs in the action... and some re-edited stuff.
I have some other "X-Men" stuff to write about, but I don't have the necessary tools right now. :P
I should really get around to it, have been molding that post in my mind forever.
Yes, I am obsessed, and I don't care if you like the "X-Men" or not. You're gonna get all the little details here.
I'm really bored right now, so I thought I'd just put one of those question things in my journal... so I'd have something to do, and maybe you'd learn something new about me... not that you want to... but I'm Bored dammit!!
Wow, that sure took a long time. Well, am off to bed now. Night night.
Don't start the panic just yet, but we've recieved some news which could possibly change the original ideas for X3 so far. The film, which is slated for a May 2, 2006 release could possibly be pushed back and could it even feature a new director?
X1/ X2 director, Bryan Singer is set to start production of his latest epic sci-fi film for Warner Bros., LOGAN'S RUN in Vancouver. According
Hollywood North Report, the film set to run through production Spring 2005.
According to past comments by X1/X2 producer, Lauren Shuller Donner, X3: X-MEN was set for production in Spring 2005 for a May 2006 release. If this is still true, then that would mean that Bryan Singer would have to rush over to production for the third X-Men film, but would he even have much time to prep for it, since post production of LOGAN'S RUN would run through the Summer also?
The is causing rumors around the net that Bryan Singer may possibly be replaced for the third and return for a fourth film...or 20th Century Fox just might push the X3 production back, which would cause a big change in the final release date. Stay tuned as we'll try to update you further on this situation.
Noooooooooooo! *Cries*
It's not good... I've finished my essays, so I decided to buckle down and get some work done on my homepage, in the comic . Now I feel like X-Men is everywhere, "The O.C." was on TV yesterday, and two of the characters started discussing "X-Men" comics. Now "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" was on, and "X-Men" was mentioned. Flippin through the channels I ended up on the preview channel for the pay-per-view stuff, and the first commercial was for "X2".
I've even started having rather funky X-Men related dreams... this is not good. I need help!
There has to be a twelve step program for this type of thing!
