Batman: Under the Red Hood trailer
Apr. 21st, 2010 11:10 amReview: The Dark Knight
Jul. 27th, 2008 12:31 pmSadly we ended up almost at the last row in the back of the cinema, which makes it at bit easier to be distracted from the screen. Beluga and I had two brats sitting behind us,that loved to giggle, talk and kick the seats. To either side of us on our row there were people who pulled out their cell phones during the film, and there was one woman in front of me who seemed to have her phone out and was texting constantly throughout the film. I wanted to hand them all over to The Joker and let him have some fun with them.
Though all this was very distracting while watching the film, I have tried to gather my thoughts and here's some of them.
Spoiler free.

Am off to see The Dark Knight in a few hours, can't wait. :D

It's been a busy week.
Jul. 8th, 2006 11:23 pmOn Monday I had kind of a quiet day, doing stuff around the house and such. Got Marie on the phone and managed to figure out when she was coming. Turned out she'd be staying for a night, which was very nice.
In the evening I went to
Tuesday I had a very calm day, worked on my Salvation review.
She slept over.
Wednesday got up at an okay hour.
Thursday I got up early, didn't take to long until Marie got up as well, we got some breakfast, and Marie asked to watch more Supernatural. Was happy to oblidge. Hehe, We started with Shadow and worked through Hell House, Provenance, Dead Man's Blood, Salvation and Devil's Trap. Can't believe we actually made it through them all. We finished at about 1600, so it was about time to get dressed and get some dinner. Lol, we ate the rest of the tacos. After dinner we headed into the city and met
Today has been okay, but got a little stressed when i realized the house sitters are coming tomorrow and I haven't done much to prepare for their arrival and my own trip, so was a little stressed, going around the house doing stuff.
That's about it for now. Tomorrow I have to get the house completely ready for the house sitters, meet them at the boat. Then until sometime on Monday I'll have to fill them in on all the stuff about the house, what to do and not to do. Get my suitcase packed and get it to
Hope everybody's having a good time.

Aug. 25th, 2005 10:29 pmFinally saw Daredevil yesterday. I liked it better than when I saw it at the cinema.. kind of got over the end fight issue I had. Want a sequel.. what's been taking them so long? Guess I'll just have to get my hands on the director's cut, it is supposed to be better, and might solve some of the things that did bug me. It needs a little more meat in the beginning, the relationship between Matt and Elektra just happens, and goes to intensity waaay to fast. Bullseye just seems to pop up here and there and then go a bit ballistic, he needed a bit more to do. I'm not a big Colin Farrell, but they could have given him a little more screentime maybe?
Despite what people say I liked Ben Affleck in the role as Daredevil. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Garner either, but she did okay. All in all, I like the film, and am thinking I want to buy my own copy. :)

Now for the reason I saw the movie. It was really so I could get my comic-book-movie-rating-list in order, but it's easier said than done. My old one can be foun HERE. It's been a while, and there have been a few new comic book movies since then, so here goes.

Aug. 1st, 2005 05:26 pmIt took a while for me to get hooked to be honest. Might be because I wasn't really ready for a movie and started over analysing everything, or it might just be because the beginning was a bit slow going. The bit up in the mountains is important to the story, but I think I would've trimmed it a little bit. I eventually got sucked in to the whole thing, and I really liked it.
Christian Bale did a great job. Must admit I was among the folk who wasn't sure abount him for the part, but he kicked ass.
I also liked Cillian Murphy, but I think his role was a bit too short, or unused, felt like they could have done a bit more out of it.
Must admit I had some flashbacks to Episode 1 in the mountain scenes with Liam Neeson. Not a part I'm that used to seeing him in this, but I liked it.
Gary Oldman was good as ever. He is a marvelous actor. Kind of felt he and Liam should have reversed roles, but I liked it very much the way it was.
Michael Caine is one of my faves, and I loved him in this part, almost felt he was made for it.
I also liked Morgan Freeman, I always like what he does.
Thruth be told, I love Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine & Morgan Freeman. They are some of my fave actors out there, and having them in this movie was just wonderful.
The only one I kind of felt weird about was Katie, but that might just be because she'll always be 'Joey Potter' to me... or the hype about her and Tom Cruise.
All in all I really enjoyed the movie, and as I mentioned last time, the cast is greatly responsible for that, in my eyes. They all really did what they came to do, and a bit extra. Am def getting the DVD.

Been to work today, am a bit wiped as there was a lot of people.
Will most likely crash on the sofa and watch Firefly... finished Buffy yesterday :)
