I just watched "X2". Gawd how I love that movie! Seriously, I have something I love in almost every scene.
I noticed something this time. Guess this will be more interesting for
tygerx than any others. The scene where Logan is having his nightmare at the mansion, in the second he jerks awake, you can her a woman screaming.
Now according to something I read, Stryker was supposed to make a reference to Silverfox, while Logan had him pinned against the chopper. Maybe that's her screaming?
Wathced "X-Men" on telly on sunday. First time ever they showed it on a semi-open channel over here. Had to compare it with the english tv-version as well. They actually didn't cut anything that I could tell. Before the movie started they said that the recommended age for viewing was 15, and that was it. The english version had cut downs in the action... and some re-edited stuff.
I have some other "X-Men" stuff to write about, but I don't have the necessary tools right now. :P
I should really get around to it, have been molding that post in my mind forever.
Yes, I am obsessed, and I don't care if you like the "X-Men" or not. You're gonna get all the little details here.

I'm interested!! lol
Don't hold back those details.. set them freeeee..... :D
'you wanna shoot me! SHOOT ME!!' *eep* I love :P
Don't shoot him! Not yet.
Date: 2004-08-25 03:14 pm (UTC)I'm on the hunt for the X2 novel, I think there's were Silverfox was mentioned... or in one of the older scripts. I'll have to look it up at the movie-effects store in London.
I noticed the wound healing on his cheek, but have to pay extra attention the last times I've seen it to actually see the knife cutting the cheek.
I love the deleted version of that scene, more Wolvie. Yum. Have you noticed the claw marks on the fridge when he asks Bobby if he's alright? Love that little detail.
Another silly thing I just love, is when he gets back up after being shot. The shot of his back just rising. Don't know why... I just love that shot.
Re: Don't shoot him! Not yet.
Still have to read thru the whole X2 novel.. gotta do that. Only skimmed the wolvie parts, hee hee
You know I had to watch that part *again* just cuz you mentioned that.. *sheesh* ;P Did see the marks, how funny! um yea and don't think I would've ever noticed unless you mentioned it.. I get a bit *distracted* there! :> The deleted scene is sooo good.. it's so stupid that they think if was 'too much'. Whatever.. We're never gonna see his full potential at this rate :\
I like the porch scene too.. agreed!
My other fav funny scene is when Logan brushes off Nightcrawler's 'introduction' with 'yea, save it..' lol, poor Elf.. he looked so snubbed :P
Porch scene.
Date: 2004-08-26 02:34 pm (UTC)Gotta get my hands on the novel... and the older script. regret not buying it the first time I had the chance, I thought it was the same one as in the Art of X2 book. But the part I read in the script wasn't in the book.
Pleas, like you mind watching that scene... hmmm, wish I could put it on a loop. Or... no, that woudln't be healthy. I don't get why they cut that down either... was that any worse than bloody Wolverine at the end.
Porch scene... *dreams* Love the look he gives pyro... not that you really see it, but still... I can imagine.
"Someone's angry."
"Yeah, I wonder why."
Awww, poor Nightcrawler. I just adore him as well. Aren't they like best buds in the comics. Wonder how that would turn out in the movies... if they decided to do that.
Awww, Crocodile Dundee.. like those movies as well. The accent is enough for me to keep watching.
Re: Porch scene.
I hope they show him and Elf being friends too! they are good buds in the comics.. one story I really liked was Logan taking him to a local bar and telling him he doesn't have to hide his appearance. Cute story :)
Yea all I need is an accent and i'll watch, lol
G'day mate.
Date: 2004-08-28 07:54 am (UTC)Aww, do you remember which comic it was? I'd like for them to be friends in the movie, they're so different, so it might introduce some fun scenarios.
Been thinking, there's so many people that don't understad why Cyclops attacks Jean, Magneto and Mystique. I think it's pretty obvious, I mean they show his neck. Stryker sais he's getting some re-education.. did you get it right away?
Re: G'day mate.
Date: 2004-08-30 10:00 am (UTC)That story was from this book X-men Vignettes. Has lots of other cool stories like Logan hitting on Jean and Angel getting all pissed off and attacking him. The one with him and elf is my fav though.. they are sooo cute together! Very different.. they have to incoporate some of that in the movie. I gotta find a way to let you see that story. I could scan it but don't think your hotmail will take big files. Is that the only email you have? Or I could copy it and mail it to you.. ;P Give me your addy anyway! :)
The Cyclops thing.. I did catch that cuz of his neck and how he did the same thing to Deathstryke and Magneto.. he was doing mind control on both of them to do his bidding. See Wolvie wasn't in those scenes so I wasn't distracted.. ;)
Re: G'day mate.
Date: 2004-09-03 04:22 am (UTC)Wow, would be great if you'd want to send it over. Ehm, my parents e-mail should be big enough, I'll send the address.
I just wondered about the Cyclops thing, because I've come across soooo many posts from people who didn't get that at all.
Yeah, it's hard to watch those movies without getting distracted by Wolvie.
Re: G'day mate.
Date: 2004-09-05 10:22 pm (UTC)that's interesting.. but yea i'll have to try watching scenes without staring at Wolvs and see what else is going on, lol

Maybe a good idea to try and focus on something other than Wolverine, may discover something new.
Just had a look at your icons on this thread, love 'em.

Date: 2004-09-06 11:05 pm (UTC)yea totally.. may be a whole other storyline we're missing! lol

Date: 2004-09-08 03:37 pm (UTC)Yeah, just pop by and steal some bases or icons, am working on comic bases for the moment, have passed 1000, but with the laptop in the shop I'm not getting any further. Might as well post the ones I have when I get it back.

BTW, some X-News if you're interrested:

Go here: http://www.greatestjournal.com/users/roguem/
ooh! thanks for the scoop!
Those Sentinels look pretty cool.. figures they'd be shaped like discs too huh? Would like to see that in X3 plus a danger room scene.
Re: ooh! thanks for the scoop!
Date: 2004-09-12 03:30 pm (UTC)Thank you very much for sending me the comic btw, it was very sweet! :)
Yeah, I'd love to watch the rat-movie tho. Funny how some people keep ending up in movies together. First he meets Halle again in "Swordfish", and now there's both Andy Serkis and Ian McKellen.
I'm actually glad they cut the sentinels, I'm afraid it would turn in to a effects movie... But I'd love a danger room scene. One where Logan kicks serious ass. ;P
Re: ooh! thanks for the scoop!
Date: 2004-09-15 11:31 am (UTC)yea totally.. funny how stars tend to team up together, heh
right.. want to maintain some reality, but still would make a great storyline i think. But yes, just like the danger room storyboard they did with Logan in the room.. would love that!
Re: ooh! thanks for the scoop!
Date: 2004-09-15 03:16 pm (UTC)I think I told you this before, but there was a danger-room scene for the firdt movie, but they dumped it early.
Wolverine was questioning the use of the uniforms, so I think Cyclops sends him into the danger room. (He gets in there somehow in his casual wear anyway.) The program starts, and Wolverine gets it pretty rough, he was supposed to come out with almost all his clothes torn.
I would have loved to see that... *sigh*
BTW, have you read about the lapdance? Just go to my GJ if you want the story, but here's a pic:
Whoa!
oh we were denied!! yea I remember that now. Would've worked more to do that in the first movie than do it now. Would die to see that as well.. booo. But either way, the DR is a must!
Re: Whoa!
Date: 2004-09-17 09:24 am (UTC)I could give up on my hopes of BFO coming to London, it's all over, Hugh's not doing it anymore.
They could still do it, just have him question the use of the danger room instead of the suits... or have him wander in there and then the system starts, coz for example Cyclops had it ready for a run himself. I'm groping for any excuse, would have loved to see a scene like that.
Re: Whoa!
Date: 2004-09-21 11:45 am (UTC)yea totally.. they can make him be defiant at any point, heh.
Re: Whoa!
Date: 2004-09-27 02:05 am (UTC)Maybe I should find the story and figure out someway to post it to the next director.
