Weekend happenings
Jan. 16th, 2006 02:59 pmHad a very calm weekend. After my little shopping trip on Friday I watched an episode of 'The Pretender'. I loved that show when I was younger, so I was very happy to discover that it had been released on DVD. Am finisihing season one soon, so it's about time to put in an order for season two.beluga came right before I was finished with the episode. I finished the episode, and she showed me a Supernatural vid she made, ( Laugh, I Nearly Died ). She's always been awsome with creative stuff, so I love it when she does something like this, and when she writes stories.
We ended up watching 'Scarecrow'. Yay! Not my favourite 'Supernatural' episode, but I enjoyed it. It was interesting to see how the brothers managed on their own, how they interact with people and also how Dean handled a job on his own. We know he's done it before, but now we actually got to see it. He seemed a bit lost, but I think that was more because he missed Sam, than him not being able to manage on his own. It was also a very quotable episode, "Dude, you fugly" are among my faves. Oh! And the link to norse mythology! Very cool.
After that we watched 'Devour', starring Jensen Ackles, Shannyn Sossamon and Dominique Swain. It wasn't very good, I liked the idea, and it started out good enough. I've seen a similar idea handled in some crime show... they did it better. This film had a good enough buildup, but the stuff that worked just fell appart towards the end. The end was just a 'what the fuck?' moment.
When we finished the movie, we watched 'Scarecrow' again, since it had been so long since the last time we saw it. ;p
Saturday was a calm day. Just took it easy, surfing the net and checking out some stuff. isil80 came an joined us in the afternoon. We showed her 'Scarecrow', she's not as big a fan as
beluga and me, but she likes it.
Mom made lasagna, so very jummy.
After dinner we watched 'Clan of the Cavebear'. It was ok, not overly engaging. I haven't read the books, so I might be missing some stuff. I just didn't feel like there was any big development. Always enjoy a strong female character though...
We just relaxed and talked. beluga messed around with her LJ layout for most of the evening.
Sunday I was wasted most of the day, felt like a zombie. beluga and I. just relaxed, watched a little TV and hung out online. She finished another Supernatural music video. ( ..History have a way of repeating itself... ).
We were supposed to go to the cinema in the evening, but let it be, none of us were very up for it. Might go on Wednesday instead.
