roguem: (Supernatural)
[personal profile] roguem

So yeah, been quiet around here lately.

First off I wanted to thank the people who replied to the character-letter-meme, I loved all the replies very much.I sat giggling like a twat for ages afterwards.Wonderful start to the day. It's still open, if anybody wants to join in the fun. ;p

I've been helping [livejournal.com profile] isil80 move into her new flat, which looks great, can't wait to see it when she's put everything in it's place. She's at the top of an apartement building, so it was a good workout. ;p I think it'll look wonderful when she gets everything into place, gets the new furniture up, and buys the new couch.

Thusday [livejournal.com profile] beluga came by, we just took it easy. Watched eoisode 13 of 'Supernatural'; 'Route 666' It's not the best eppy of the show by far, I might go as far as to say it's my least favourite. It's not because of Dean's love story, I didn't mind that It's just the girl that played the love interest, Cassie, wasn't exactly a very good actress, and in some of the scenes, the lighting was bad, cos she looked kind of masculine... I liked her character, I bought that she was the kind of girl that Dean would fall for, but again, the actress killed it.
Also the ghost story part wasn't developed enough. There should have been a bit more action. The eppy is actually a couple of minutes shorter than usual, that could have been used to give the ghost story a bit more action. Because I actually liked that part of the story. Maybe they should have seperated the two stories, and let there be another more simple ghost story be part of the whole Cassie extravaganza.
The woman who played Cassie's mother... I didn't like her either. Especially during the weepy-flashback-retelling-scene. That was just painful, and the music that accompanied that scene just made it worse.
What I did like about this episode however was that Sam had a chance to shine, he was a bit more open and high spirited than usual, still rather attentive and caring towards Dean though. It was nice to see another side of Dean, more vunerable. I always like getting more background info, helps make a picture of what lies beneath the surface.
Think I'll stop there, [livejournal.com profile] beluga did a really awsome picture review in her LJ, so if you want to see it, click here. I basically agree with everything she has to say, but she's done a better job of it, so it's worth a look. ;)

Now we'll be having a 9 week hiatus. Not because of the WB, but because I'll be leaving for London, and since I download the shows I think it's only fair to wait until I get home and share it with [livejournal.com profile] beluga. Nice to have someone to squee with. Just hope I can stay away from spoilers ;p

I'm leaving tomorrow, I don't feel ready, but on the other hand it'll be good to get this bit before easter over and done with, because it'll be the hardest part. I should go finish packing... urgh. Looks like JC will be stopping by sometime in March, so that'll be fun. I'm going to be babysitting his giant teddy bear, because he didn't manage to get it home with him this time around.
Hmmm, if anyone of the Brits on my flist can identify where certain scenes of 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Green Street Hooligans' have been shoot, I'd muchly apprechiate it. :)
I wanna go find the bar from 'Shaun of the Dead' and take some pics, like I did with the book store front for 'Black Books'.

So i discovered some bitch had stolen some of my Supernatural icons and reposted them in her own journal. Now, I apprechiate that people like my icons, but stuff like that just annoys me. *grumble*

[livejournal.com profile] beluga has stolen my laptop and is editing together some stuff... so I'm on my dad's comp right now... I wonder if there's anything good on TV at the moment.
[livejournal.com profile] isil80 will be stopping by later tonight.
Think the plan is to watch 'Serenity' and 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'.

Anybody know of a guide for dummies regadring LJ layout for people without a paid account? I'm talking about a baby-steps tutorial or something... I'll be using it for my GJ, but they're basically the same, would like the updating part of my webpage to be a bit easier...

Think I'll quit now... Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

"I sat giggling like a twat for ages afterwards."

ROTFLMAO!

OMG - I think that MAYBE you meant to say "twit" there. In American slang, 'twat' is another word for female genitalia;-)

No, I meant 'twat'. It's british for Idiot... guess the same thing as 'twit'.

LOL, isn't slang just awesome? I understand that one of the most difficult things about learning the English language is our common use of slang. I used to speak fluent Indonesian and Greek when I was living in those countries. I didn't have any problems in Greece, but I learned Indonesian from the people, so once in a while I would have issues talking to someone who learned it through "proper" language courses!

(I like your icon, BTW. I hope the movie is good!)

Hehe, I'll bet. I'll keep it in mind next time I make an entry... as most of the people on my flist are American.

Very true... I know that somewhere... I think Brazil the hand gesture for good, when you kind of make an O with your fingers means 'fuck you'.
And in the UK if you turn your hand the other what while doing the peace sign that means 'fuck you' as well. I never knew that before I actually lived here.

Haha, love the icon. :D

Yes that's true about the 'ok' gesture! It's like you're making a form of an a-hole to them. Not good! Didn't know about the UK thing though.

Thanks! Love that pic, and thought the words were fitting ;)

Wow... didn't know what the 'ok' thing meant to them, just knew it wasn't good.. I def won't be doing it anyway.

Hehe, very fitting indeed. ;)

I actually figured out where the bar and the houseShaun lives in was last year, but I seem to have misplaced the map I maked it on, so I'll have to start the investigation again...
I so want a photograph of that bar... and the House is the same one they used in Spaced, so that's two birds with one stone.

It was very good. I'm not a huge chick-flick-movie kinda girl (I enjoy action, splatter & zombie movies more) But I actually enjoyed this. I think [livejournal.com profile] roguem did too:-)

And yes, it was sad. And I almost cried! Typically me. If someone on screen cries, you can bet I will too. Darn Empathy!

Hope you're having a relaxing weekend now that exams and stuff seems to be over..

xx

It was a cute film.

I'm not a big fan of chick flicks, but I'd heard good things about it. I was entertained, my fave storyline was the one with the little girl. Tibby & Bailey.
I rarely cry at movies, didn't at this one.

Awww, I miss Buffy too. Am buying the DVDs now, so I at least have some of it.
Am just bummed I don't have the vampire-film classes at school anymore. That was loads of fun, we had a whole class devoted to Buffy, and my teacher was a big Jossverse fan. :)

I love 'Supernatural', but I'd like a little more action. And I agree that 'Dead in the Water' was beautifully shot. I know there are some more intense storylines coming.

I actually enjoyed it. Mostly the storyline with the little girl, the soccer camp on was the least engaging. I'm not big on chick flicks, prefer action movies, horror and such.
