From the Comics Continuum's report from the Van Helsing junket:
Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine in the first two X-Men movies, said he isn't locked into an X3 yet. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but first of all, I don't know what the script's going to be like. I don't know what it will be like," Jackman said at the recent press junket for Van Helsing, which opens Friday."But I would find it very, very hard to watch someone else play the role of Wolverine, you know. But, you know, I've had a really great go of it for two movies, so you never know. They may want to move it in different directions, so we'll see what happens in it." Jackman said a third X-Men film doesn't feel gratuitous.
"I can see there being complete validity in doing X-Men 3, if not more," he said. "I mean, I think it (X2) cemented what was a really interesting world."

Couldn't agree more!

I've decided that he's gonna play Wolverine forever, they can use CGI to remove the signs of aging.

That's what I meant by the CGI, coz Hugh's gonna age.

Anyway, I seriously can't see anybody else playing that part. The guy that was originally cast neither, I've been going over it in my mind, and I can't really understand why he was cast in that role in the first place.

Nooo.. he must be cute and young forever!! lol yea CGI him for sure ;)

Oh yea Dougray Scott.. that would've been different. Who knows.. but doesn't matter.. NO ONE can take over. He owns that character now.

I actually saw Dougray in a movie where he was supposed to be bad... but I just couldn't buy it. Weird.

Anyway, lets start a CGI for Hugh petition. :P

I love "Ever After". One of the few romantic movies I can stand to be honest. I liked Dougray in that actually.

Where can we start our petition?

I've seen a mock up of Dougray as Wolvie actually, it just looked weird.
"Ever After" might not be the best film to see if your gonna evaluate his Wolvie skills... heh... "M:I2" might be a better choice, even tho I didn't quite like that either.

Of course. I love a good action movie, and John Woo loves the explosive stuff, so you pretty much know what you're gonna get.

Face/off rocks tho.

Yeah, Face/Off was my absolute fave movie for a long while. Travolta and Cage really were great.
Cage had some good movies then, I like "The Rock" and "Con Air" as well... luckily they were released during my action hype.

The 'Riddick' movie may be a good action one. :)

Know Gothika probably won't live up to any expectations, I'm just curious.

I've been considering the Riddick movie, but I'll probably only go if my friends are going.

As for now, [livejournal.com profile] beluga and I are looking forward to "Punisher" and "Hellboy"

<ljuser=Beluga> wants to see Riddick, so I'll probably tag along. Nobody wants to see Gothika with me... maybe I should take my mom, she likes Robert Downey jr and thrillers..? Ah, why not.

Yeah, no bother.

Am waiting for Hellboy, it'll be released here on friday. I'm already sick of Spiderman 2 and it hasn't been relesed yet.

Secret Window's finally out tho, might run and see it...

The first spidey movie was hyped up as well, I was bored. He's such a sulky little child. But, each to his own.

I totally get that, luckily I still have Hellboy and Punisher coming... or hopefully, they keep pushing them back.

Isn't the one with Keanu coming soon as well, can't remember what the comic was though... :P
Have finally read some Preacher comics so I'm definitely looking forward to that movie, just hoping they'll be able to make Marsden look scruffy enough.

Btw, back to what the post was really about: Ian McKellen says Hugh was signed for three movies, and when I think of it, I think I've heard that before.

Oh I forgot about the Keanu one! I remember the preview looked pretty cool. :) Yea Marsden would have to be *really* scruffed up with that purty face of his, heh.

Thanks for the link! Another journal site eh? pretty much the same as LJ looks like. Yea i think that's wishful thinking, lol.. who knows when they'll make up their minds! mmmph

Yeah, the preview looked cool, am kind of looking forward to it.

Looking forward to scruffy James, think he can pull it off, would be nice to see him like something other than a pretty boy.

Jup, new journal site, just decided to put all the x-men stuff there.
