From the Comics Continuum's report from the Van Helsing junket:
Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine in the first two X-Men movies, said he isn't locked into an X3 yet. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but first of all, I don't know what the script's going to be like. I don't know what it will be like," Jackman said at the recent press junket for Van Helsing, which opens Friday."But I would find it very, very hard to watch someone else play the role of Wolverine, you know. But, you know, I've had a really great go of it for two movies, so you never know. They may want to move it in different directions, so we'll see what happens in it." Jackman said a third X-Men film doesn't feel gratuitous.
"I can see there being complete validity in doing X-Men 3, if not more," he said. "I mean, I think it (X2) cemented what was a really interesting world."

Date: 2004-05-15 04:38 pm (UTC)Anyway, I seriously can't see anybody else playing that part. The guy that was originally cast neither, I've been going over it in my mind, and I can't really understand why he was cast in that role in the first place.

Date: 2004-05-21 07:59 am (UTC)"Ever After" might not be the best film to see if your gonna evaluate his Wolvie skills... heh... "M:I2" might be a better choice, even tho I didn't quite like that either.

Date: 2004-07-07 11:33 am (UTC)You really got a beef with the Spidey movies huh? lol.. haven't seen it yet, but everyone seems to rave about it so far.

Date: 2004-07-08 08:17 am (UTC)The first spidey movie was hyped up as well, I was bored. He's such a sulky little child. But, each to his own.

Date: 2004-07-11 12:10 am (UTC)Hugh, Hellboy and a rebel preast.
Date: 2004-07-11 03:32 am (UTC)Isn't the one with Keanu coming soon as well, can't remember what the comic was though... :P
Have finally read some Preacher comics so I'm definitely looking forward to that movie, just hoping they'll be able to make Marsden look scruffy enough.
Btw, back to what the post was really about: Ian McKellen says Hugh was signed for three movies, and when I think of it, I think I've heard that before.
