We sold the house. No other bids came in this morining, but by the time I finished the post this morning I was pretty sure that's how it would go. So as of 12:00 today our house is off the market and the paper work will proceed. The guy who bought the house rang out door bell at 12:02 asking if he could take a look around again. It was a Vietnameese man with a wife and four kids, so they need the space. He said that they had been looking for a place for a year, and the second he had stepped into this house he'd known that this was his new home.
Can't blame him, that's pretty much how we felt when we wtepped into this house for the first time.
We'll be moving out sometime in the middle of January. So at least I'll get a final christmas here, very pleased about that.
I need new icons... think I'll delete all the ones I have and start fresh.
isil80 came by in the afternoon. We just took it easy, my mom isn't feeling to good so we sat with her for a while just talking. Afterwards we headed up to my room and watched 'X-Men: The Last Stand'. I've had time to think about the film, and though it doesn't come close to the greatness of the first two I refuse to blame Brett Ratner for that. It's still a fun ride, and it's tried to hold on to what the first two did, it just doesn't do it as nicely as they did. Hard to explain. I know this film will end up in my DVD collection at some point, but there's no rush.
After the movie we just sat talking, was very nice. We watched two episodes of "Angel" I wanted to show her Joss Whedon as Numfar, but we ended up watching two eps; "Through the Looking Glass" & "There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb". Was fun. I love Numfar and his dance, so brilliant.
After
isil80 left I just took it easy, been going through my flist.
Tomorrow it looks like there'll be a trip to the cinema with
beluga and
isil80, to see 'Little Miss Sunshine'. Will be much fun.
And let's not forget; I'll finally get to see episode 2 of "Supernatural".
Now new addition of the Norwegian artists, just links to the old ones: ( Part 1 ) ( Part 2 ) ( Part 3 ) ( Part 4 ) ( Part 5 ) ( Part 6 ) ( Part 7 )

Date: 2006-10-05 11:30 pm (UTC)I can't believe the dvd release is already here! I'm very curious about the extra footage and what they have to say on the commentary. I agree with how you feel about it too. Wish I could have more love for it, but ah well.
Enjoy the movie tomorrow!

Date: 2006-10-06 08:11 am (UTC)Am still very happy I get one last christmas here though.
I thought I'd had been released a while ago, guess I was wrong. I'm curious about the extras too. So I'll buy the DVD.
I wish I could like it more too, the biggest problem they had was that they tried to cram two big stories into such a short timeframe. They should have focused on one of those storylines and left the other for X4.
Thanks, I'm sure I will. :D

Date: 2006-10-06 09:30 pm (UTC)Yea, I would've like to have seen Phoenix done differently. Makes me wonder what they'll try to do next. I can't imagine they won't try again.
Coool :)

Date: 2006-10-07 09:58 am (UTC)I think they'll try again. I mentioned it before but I have some crazy theories on how to bring back all the people she killed. For one we never actually saw Cyclops die.

Angel's a fun show, I haven't watched it in ages.
Have fun with isil and Livi! :D

Yeah, but I've only seen seasons 1, 2 and 5.
Was very fun, thanks. :)

Date: 2006-10-06 09:24 pm (UTC)I agree on the 'The Last Stand'. It was a bit messy, hard to deny that, but, all things considered, it was also fun. Besides, damn, it's X-Men, after all. With them the coolness is like an inbuilt feature.
Btw, do you know whether 'The Last Stand' is actually the LAST stand? I know there are Wolverine and Magneto spinoffs waiting somewhere down the line for their turn, but what about the core franchise? You have any info on that?
I'm so terribly behind on your artist pimping. I will check them out, I promise, but not now, because I'm just downloading the lovely lovely 'Supernatural' episode and no matter how genius the Norwegian musicians might be, Jensen is higher on the priorities list ;)
And I remember the meme you tagged me with. I do. It will get done. Soonish. Really.

Date: 2006-10-07 09:56 am (UTC)Hehe, gotta agree on that one, X-Men is cool all on it's own. All in all I always spin around to blaming Bryan Singer for leaving...
It's not the last movie, there will be more. Lauren Shuler Donner has said that she wants it to become a movie series like James Bond. And as far as I know planning for an X4 has already begun.
Hehe, take your time. Glad someone is checking it out. :)
And you're right, nothing comes before downloading 'Supernatural'.
Okay, looking forward to it. :)

Date: 2006-10-07 12:59 pm (UTC)Oh, wait, it's the X-Men universe, death has never been much of an obstacle with these guys.

Date: 2006-10-07 09:17 pm (UTC)I know Halle Berry has said she doesn't want to do anymore, so if they can just revive the others that should be okay.
And if they have trouble coming up with ideas on how to revive them, my brain is full of crazy ideas, I'd be happy to share with them.
I would love to see Gambit in the next film.
And I have the perfect actor for the job.

Date: 2006-10-07 11:11 pm (UTC)Can't say that Halle Berry leaving would be that much of a deal breaker. But Ian McKellen or, say, Rebecca Romijn leaving I would certainly not be happy about. 'X-Men' are still going stong though. I think we can be reasonbly sure that they wouldn't want to abandon the ship just yet.
Oh, Gambit would be awesome. Do tell, who you've got?

Date: 2006-10-08 10:12 am (UTC)I agree that they can manage without Halle, but the must have Ian McKellen back. I love Mystique too, so Rebecca must come back as well.
They're getting their powers back, I'm sure of it. The cure wasn't permanent.
Hehe, well. I've been considering who could play that part for ages. Honestly, I think Jensen would be a good fit. I'm not saying that just because it's Jensen, but I truly do believe he would rock that part. He has the right build, and head shape if you're gonna compare him to the cartoons. I'm sure he could do a cajun accent, and we already know he can kick ass and be charming.

Date: 2006-10-08 10:42 am (UTC)Yeah, the cure was just a one-movie deal. Their powers might be still a bit wonky in the next movie, but definitely back.
Gosh, you'd really think I would figure it out on my own. Of course, Jensen *facepalm*. Now you put these images in my brain. Beautiful, glorious images. *purr*

That could actually provide some cool scenarios.
Hehe, I know. But do you see it too? Or is my fangirlieness just working on another level? I seriously think he would be good in that role.
I need to find Lauren Shuled Donner's personal e-mail addy.

Date: 2006-10-09 06:46 pm (UTC)No, I'm actually starting to see it myself. The only problem is the hair. I always pictured Gambit as a guy with longish hair, preferably bound into a ponytail. And I can't really see Jensen in that. Jensen is a man who was born to wear military haircut. Who makes military haircut look like it never looked before. Sinful.
You made me babble about Jensen Ackles' hair. You're bad.

Lol, all in a day's work. ;p
As for the hair, I see your point. onless they get him to wear that black thing to fram his face, I never figures ut what that was supposed to be. On the other hand they could come up with something ala Ash's hairstyle, only a bit more nice looking... I dunno.
