Went to the cinema with JC, Sol and HC on Sunday. "Saw" ended up as the Halloween movie.

I really liked it! I must admit that it was kind of slow going in the beginning, but it picked seriously up! It has kind of a Se7en'ish feel to it, dark and gritty. It's not trying to be in-your-face-gory, but was playing more with the psyche.
It's always weird to see Cary Elwes in a serious role. JC thought he over-acted, but I thought he did a good job.
Been online and had a look, many people have opinions on this film. Sure, I could tear it to pieces, but I liked the idea and how it was realized. Go watch it and make up your own mind!

Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days!
Am going slightly stir-crazy, played a round of cards yesterday, was going crazy at school coz a minute felt like an hour... today wasn't so bad. Tomorrow we're filming, Thursday is going to go on forever until I finally get on the plane home!

Me neither, I'd probably be screaming just as bad if it were me. I really liked it, the end rocks. :)

yea the scenes were really intense.. and setting it all up so they have to do all the gruesome dirty work.. *wicked*. But was NOT expecting that dude to get up there.. whoa!! Couldn't imagine having to lay there like that and not move for that long. And I would assume Cary Elwes didn't make it either. My friend and I kept getting mad though cuz we whenever someone had a gun they wouldn't friggen shoot! If that was me it's shoot first, ask questions later! Or at least injure them.. damn. *shakes head*

Yeah, I would have shoot that dud in the legs at least if I were (totally forgot his name now, the Lethal Weapon Guy). That did bug me too.

I've been thinking if Cary made it or not... goz the Jigsaw man would never kill anyone, so lets say Cary found the cop's body and maybe he had a cell phone, then he could call out. Other than that I dunno. Or if Adam somehow managed to get the keys out of the bathtub and free himself... he'd help Cary on the way... I dunno.
They're planning a sequel, maybe we'll get the answers there... even though I really hate the idea of a sequel to this film.

They're planning a sequel?? Didn't know that.. yea i'm not sure bout that either. But the ending did leave it pretty open! True that the 'killer' made sure not to get his hands dirty so probably wouldn't kill him. I think that tub sucked the key in way down the pipe so not much hope on his side. But yea who knows! The LW guy (Danny Glover) was driving me nuts, lol.. and his stupid partner too. I was like.. if that was Martin Riggs, that would've never happened! ;P And plus the mom should've totally shot him!! *augh*

Hehe, yeah forgot about the mom, yeah, I would so have been shooting if I were her. In the legs of course, so I could ask questions.
I really hate the idea of a sequel, kind of ruins the geniuos of the first one. I mean, this movie has a chance at going cult, a sequel might ruin it.
I remembered his name last night, Danny Glover, was just like "duh". But I was totally blank when I wrote the comment.

Yea could totally see it being cultish.. and sure the sequel would be more about trying to catch this guy who we already know the identity of. Not as suspenseful.

Movie people are such fools.. :P

It's sad the way Hollywood always goes; "Hey, we made some money on this, lets try to squeeze some more out of it."
