I found this in [livejournal.com profile] magikalcrab 's LJ and just had to share it with you guys.
Friendship isn't partying with a group of people to get drunk or chatting with him/her once a week, it's exactly the opposite. Friends make sure you get home safely and they help you when you need it, no matter the scenario. They don't care about what clothes you wear or what you look like, and they don't last for a day. Real friends are more interested in what direction your life is headed rather than your popularity. They care about what you have to say and how you feel, and once you meet this person you'll know it without having to think twice.

Holiday Love Meme (Secret Santa Style!) Okay, so I wasn't really going to do this, but I cracked... please go?

I've been thinking a lot about LOTR lately, and how I miss it, and then I saw a post in [livejournal.com profile] cantusnoctum's journal about the very same thing. Am thinking I'll have to buy the 'Ringers: Lord of the Fans' DVD just to get some kind of new feeling about the whole thing. It's been a good while since I've seen the movies too, so am thinking I'll have to have a look at them while I'm home this christmas.
Am thinking they all should have a reunion and make a film together again, doesn't have to be LOTR related, I just want to see them all on screen together again. I still think Billy Boyd should play Driveshaft's managar in "Lost", come on! Who's with me on that one?

Where's Billy Boyd gone anyway? Feel like I haven't seen him in ages.
*runs and posts some billy icons*
I made them ages ago, just haven't posted them yet, they're up now in my Icon journal [livejournal.com profile] mukkianglia . Billy  icons HERE.

That reminds me, I saw "Everything is Illuminated" 2(!) weeks ago. It was a cute movie, but I thought that Alexander and the dog stole the show. Elijah's character was very calm and didn't really do much. Elijah did a good job, as always, but for me it lacked a little something. Still, it was very sweet and endearing.
Though their representation og helpfulness in the Ukraine compared to USA was totally wrong. My experiance traveling in Poland has taught me that people will bend over backwards to help you, while here in Europe people will barely look at eachother.
It just bugs me when people in Easter Europe are presented as angry and resentful and Americans and Western Europeans are presented as happy-go-lucky people...
I ramble, go see the film, don't listen to me.

I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" yesterday with Sol, JC and his boyfriend Kenneth. It was a cute film, but I'm not going all crazy over it. Did however like it much more than the last Harry Potter film. The youngest girl in the film, Lucy, was such a charmer, so cute. And the oldest boy, Peter, made me wish I was 16 again... *nuff said*
Tilda Swinton was very good as well and I loved her colour-changing-dress, except for the top part, there was something weird going on there.
The CGI was a bit disappointing, the beavers were good. I think the wolf CGI was put over dogs or something... looked good sometimes, and very bad other times. I wasn't impressed by the work on Aslan either, but I seem to be the only one. The fox looked like he'd escaped from the 'Shrek' movies.
It was an enjoyable film, and I can see it turning into a christmas movie for me, time will tell.
After the film we went to JC and Sol's place, pigged out on Pizza and crisps, talked and watched some telly. Was very nice. Suddenly it was half past twelve and I figured that since it took at least 20 minutes to get back to my place I should get going. So I go out, and start walking the wrong way... turn around find out I'm on the right path, get confused and end up hailing a cab and paying 7 pounds to get home, no biggie, it was worth it. :)
It is sad however that I've been at their place 4-5 times now and still haven't gotten the way back to my place figured out yet. Hehe, anyways, had loads of fun.

Think that's it for now. I wanna thank everybody who helped me find info for my essay. I've finished it and all your info helped a lot! *huggles you all*
Now I've started my production essay... 4000 words about nothing. ;P
Got 277 words so far, so that's a start, have gotten Firefly a mention in there so far... with regards to inspiration. Will try to include some of my other favourites, just so I can write a bit about stuff I actually know. ;)

Oh! I almost forgot! Remember that I mentioned that Take That are getting back together? I also posted some of their old music HERE if you want to have a listen.
Anyways, they're going on tour, and I made an off hand remark about it when I was at JC and Sol's yesterday. Suddenly Sol's face lights up and she says 'it would be fun to go', I say it would be fun to just put that 'childhood' dream to rest. I remember being so pissed when my parents wouldn't let me go to Sweden for their last concert... seing as I was about 13 at the time I understand them now. Anyways, somehow Sol and I agree we're going to their concert at Wembley Arena in may! Then I see JC thinking a bit and he mentions he has time off, so we just look at him a bit, and now he's coming too! AH! So much fun! I've never been to a 'real' concert. Just Hit Awards 1999 in Oslo. I feel like a kid again, seriously. I'm still waiting till we book the tickets before I get all fired up, but just the thought is good for now. It's not just the concert, but the fact that both JC and Sol wants to join me! Am very happy.

Ok, I'll have finish now, have to write a little more, and pack. I'm going home in 4 days!!!
Have a nice one people!

Am really tired right now, and I have no idea why as I didn't have to get up early this morning... Oh! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Finally finished my essay yesterday, it's not that great, but am hoping it'll get me a passing grade, and that's all I'm really aiming for anyway.

Anyways... think I'll give you mini-reviews of the films I've seen lately:REVIEWS )

Am going to see 'Kinky Boots' tonight with JC & Sol. Am just dying to see Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Oprative) in drag. It looks like a sweet brit-movie anyway.

I will write about my trip to Poland, but can't really be bothered right now, so I'm putting up a bunch of pictures behind the cut, with a few explanations... basically just some pics of the flat we bought and some of the stuff I bought while I was there. Def not dial up friendly. Flat In Here )

Clothes In Here )

This is mostly where I do my clothes shopping when I'm in Poland, cheap, nice, and afordable. :D

That's it for now, doubt i'll post before anything major before I go home! I'm going home on Wednesday! Hurray! :D

I'd like to write about my London trip now, just because I had a really good time, despite the exam. ;)

06.06.05 Monday.
Jumped on the plane, and made my way to London. Had to change flights in Copenhagen, so when I arrived there the first thing I did was check on the flight to London, figured out that it was on the other side of the airport so I hurried over, sat there waiting for about five minutes until boarding started. I hand over my ticket and the woman looks at it, frowns, and informs me that this isn't the right flight. I was booked on a SAS flight, and this was British Airways. I'm a little panicked, thinking my flight is boarding somewhere. So I get my ticked back, and run to the nearest screen, just to discover that my flight leaves an hour later, and the gate number hasn't been posted yet. So I sit down and wait, when the number finally gets posted it turns out that the gate is all the way back where I came from in the other end of the airport. So I hurry back and get on the plane, and was off to London. I arrived at the house just in time for dinner, and had a calm evening preparing for my exam.

07.06.05 Tuesday.
Spent the whole day reading for my exam, interesting stuff actually. Blockbusters, slasher flicks and the AIDS metaphor in 80s vampire movies and such.
In the evening I needed a break, and ended up watching 'Inspector Morse' at Lars' flat.

08.06.05 Wednesday. [livejournal.com profile] isil80 's birthday!
Time for my exam, i was nervous, but felt I had a grasp in the subjects. I met Benedicte and Kine outside the exam room and talked with them until we could go inside. Think we had our share of nerves at the point they called us in. I think it went ok, I didn't write as much as I wanted to, but think I covered it, I answered the questions on Blockbusters, and the one on the AIDS metaphor. Pretty sure I'll get a passing grade, and that's really all I want.
After the exam Benedicte and I went for a little stroll, it was beautiful weather outside, so we decided to just walk past the busstops and talk a bit. Was very nice, she and Nina might come visit me in August, that'd be cool. Hoping it works out. :D
I went to the house, chilled out a little, went on a little shopping trip, but didn't find anything, except chocolate. Hehe.
In the afternoon, we were a group that went to the park and just relaxed. They tried setting up a volley-ball net, wasn't working out real well. I played a round of bacchi with Henriette & Trine. Then I had to run back to the house, and hook up with Lars, JC and Sol.
We headed down to the cinema and saw Sin City for the very first time. I was totally jazzed, loved the film, as you all know by now. JC, Sol and Lars seemed to love it too. :)
When the film was done it was rather late so I just headed to bed.

09.06.05 Thursday.
Got up, packed my bags, and sat in the TV-room until it was time to go. My flight didn't leave until four or something like that, so I saw no point in rushing to the airport. Was watching the local news and got kind of freaked by the news of a serious car accident back in my old home town. SMS'd my friend at once to find out if she was okay, and she was. Still don't know who it was or what really happened...
I finally left, stopped by some shops on the way to kill time, bought [livejournal.com profile] beluga 's birthday present.
Jumped on the plane, and made my way home, no problems, no ticket mix ups, and I was finally home, and year two of Film-school was done. :D

The little guided tour of Portobello market went well yesterday. No problems. Was nice meeting her again actually, getting some news from the former home.

Went to the thearte again yesterday to see A Life in the Thearte. I enjoyed myself more this time, had much better seats, and didn't pay through the nose for it either. :) This time we stayed around after the show to get a glimpse of the stars, maybe even get an autograph. Both Sol and I scored an autograph from Joshua Jackson, here's a low quality pic: autograph )

Sadly my camera decided to die on me, don't know if the pictures I have taken can be saved, but will hand them in and let the pros. take a looks. Sol took a few pictures so I can copy pics from her. Patrick Stewart didn't come out the same way as Joshua, but maybe I'll catch him another time.

Next X-Man on the list is Alan Cumming at the Collectormania in April/May, will hopefully be able to get his autograph. :) Still not sure about Sean Astin, as I've already got a signed copy of his book, and those autographs ain't exactly cheap.

Saw Constantine today. I liked it, I must say. It's not the deepest movie I've seen, but it now ranks as a steady number 2 to the X-Men films on my comic-book-movie-list, and might be the first other comic-book-movie I actually buy on DVD. I liked the visuals, and it was a role that fit Keanu Reeves with his limited facial expressions. It's been called a mix between The Matrix and The Exorcist, which is kind of weird as I'm not a huge fan of either of them. I'm not really able to write a full-blown review of it right now, but what I will say is that I liked it.

Also got a kick out of the Sin City teaser trailer being shown before the film. The wait is just far to loooooong. *sigh*

Thoght I'd finally write a little about what I did last weekend, nothing major, but I did get out of the house. :)

Last weekend )

Yesterday I went to the theatre with Lars and his wife Benedicte (#2). We saw... )

That's about it from my exiting life ;P Have no plans this weekend. Might be a chance to hit the cinema with Benedicte (#1) and Nina either today or tomorrow. Tonight there's the norwegian and British finals of the Eurovision Song contest, and they're planning something around it here at the house, so I'll most likely go down and have a look at that.

(Can't be bothered to reread, and check spelling, hope it's all understandable.)

Had a nice weekend, thought I'd write a bit about it, not often I get a whole weekend out. ;P

Had a quiet friday actually. Ended up watching Man on Fire with some of the girls here at the house. I've seen it before, but that was at like 5 a.m. so this time I got a little more out of it. It's a good film, if only a bit long.

Saturday started out quietly, sent a message to Benedicte asking if she wanted to do something. Didn't get an answer so was getting ready for a quiet Saturday as well. Went to the shops for some goodies, when I got back Benedicte and Nina were here at the house, they'd been in the area and just popped by. JC had been temping at the office and running around trying to find me for them. Kind of amusing just meeting them in the door like that. I showed them around the house and my room. After I'd eaten a quick dinner we headed out, were going to go to the cinema. On the way they decided that I would sleep over at their place, so I had to stop by Boots and buy a toothbrush, then we headed for their flat had some food and were on our merry way to the cinema. We were going to watch In Good Company, but the tickets were sold out while we were in line, so we ended up watching The Aviator instead. It was a very well made film, but the story didn't really grasp me, and not really getting all the praise Leonardo DiCaprio got for the part, but that might just be me.

When we got back to Benedicte and Nina's flat we watched the last part of Thelma & Louise with Benedicte's sister. Just goofing around and talking, not really doing anything productive, but it was fun. Benedicte made a pizza from scratch with what she had in the fridge, was really good. So we were standing in the kitchen at 2 a.m. eating pizza and talking. Was all in all a very nice evening.

Didn't really sleep to long, was up at a reasonable hour. We just continued the chatting and fun from the previous evening. Had a run to Starbucks for some breakfast and such, had a chicken sandwich and a hot chocolate, was really good. I left them in the afternoon and hurried back to the house, freshened up and went downstairs for dinner. There was a christmas dinner. Kind of weird in February, but they had to get rid of the leftovers, was very good, they even had my fave. Afterward there were games and such in the living room. I even had to join in on one. We had to twirl a piece of string, with a wrapped chocolate piece, around our tongue and get the chocolate in my mouth before any of the others. Weird, but I won! ;P Was a funny evening. Ended up talking with JC and some other people most of the evening.

All in all a very pleasant weekend. This coming weekend I'm joining JC and Sol to watch some films, we're going to rent The Grudge, and some other films. Will be fun. :)

Went to the cinema with JC, Sol and HC on Sunday. "Saw" ended up as the Halloween movie.

I really liked it! I must admit that it was kind of slow going in the beginning, but it picked seriously up! It has kind of a Se7en'ish feel to it, dark and gritty. It's not trying to be in-your-face-gory, but was playing more with the psyche.
It's always weird to see Cary Elwes in a serious role. JC thought he over-acted, but I thought he did a good job.
Been online and had a look, many people have opinions on this film. Sure, I could tear it to pieces, but I liked the idea and how it was realized. Go watch it and make up your own mind!

Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days!
Am going slightly stir-crazy, played a round of cards yesterday, was going crazy at school coz a minute felt like an hour... today wasn't so bad. Tomorrow we're filming, Thursday is going to go on forever until I finally get on the plane home!
Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days! Am going home in 2 days!

Just giving some highlights, might write more later...

I've been sick, but am feeling better now. Actually went to school despite feeling like crap.

Was shooting the contract killer thing yesterday, had some problems with the sound, so had to reshoot the parts with dialouge.

Made plans to go to the cinema with JC and Sol on Sunday to see "Saw" and/or "The Grudge".

Saw a really crappy movie with Mick Jagger this morning, called "Performance".

Saw John Cleese when I jumped off the bus this afternoon.

At this time next week I'll be on a plane home!!! :)

J.C. was over on sunday, he lent me the CD's for "The Boy From Oz" & "Avenue Q". Both brilliant! "The Boy From Oz" has a lot of sweet music, but "Avenue Q" is just plain funny.

Avenue Q - Schadenfreude Lyrics )

Insane stuff.

That's not the best song, but I'll save that for later, just thought it might make some people giggle.

Tomorrow it's back to school, and the acting nightmare. I love those classes, but I hate acting. There was a reason I took the "behind the camera" class. Well, anyway, am just gonna get through it and put it down to something I have to go through. Hopefully we'll be the first to shoot our piece next week, so it's over and done with.

Saw a really cute movie today, called "Gideon". It was a Tv-movie, simple, but extremely charming and sweet. Taped it, so I'm going to force [livejournal.com profile] beluga to watch it. Know she'll find one or two things that she'll like.

Yesterday I was at the cinema with JC, Solveig & Trine. We saw "Bride & Prejudice". I always liked the "Pride and Prejudice" story, so this was a fun twist to it. Was very simple, but I liked the way it was set up. Singing and bright colors, very nice to look at. And alos I like movies where there's a strong female lead, not a whimpering little thing who can't see life without a man.

Well, should try to get some real work done.
