The little guided tour of Portobello market went well yesterday. No problems. Was nice meeting her again actually, getting some news from the former home.

Went to the thearte again yesterday to see A Life in the Thearte. I enjoyed myself more this time, had much better seats, and didn't pay through the nose for it either. :) This time we stayed around after the show to get a glimpse of the stars, maybe even get an autograph. Both Sol and I scored an autograph from Joshua Jackson, here's a low quality pic:

Sadly my camera decided to die on me, don't know if the pictures I have taken can be saved, but will hand them in and let the pros. take a looks. Sol took a few pictures so I can copy pics from her. Patrick Stewart didn't come out the same way as Joshua, but maybe I'll catch him another time.

Next X-Man on the list is Alan Cumming at the Collectormania in April/May, will hopefully be able to get his autograph. :) Still not sure about Sean Astin, as I've already got a signed copy of his book, and those autographs ain't exactly cheap.

Saw Constantine today. I liked it, I must say. It's not the deepest movie I've seen, but it now ranks as a steady number 2 to the X-Men films on my comic-book-movie-list, and might be the first other comic-book-movie I actually buy on DVD. I liked the visuals, and it was a role that fit Keanu Reeves with his limited facial expressions. It's been called a mix between The Matrix and The Exorcist, which is kind of weird as I'm not a huge fan of either of them. I'm not really able to write a full-blown review of it right now, but what I will say is that I liked it.

Also got a kick out of the Sin City teaser trailer being shown before the film. The wait is just far to loooooong. *sigh*

ooh, are you at collectormania too? I'll be there with Linda and my brother + sis in law if you fancy meeting for a coffee break?

Yeah, that would be nice. I'm still not sure which day I'm going yet, it depends on if [livejournal.com profile] isil80 want's me to get James Master's autograph or not.
He's there on Sunday and Monday.

I saw Constantine yesterday. I liked it too, it was fun. Especially the ending with Gabriël was good. ^^

Yeah, not the part I got hung up on, but it was good. Think my fave moment was when he gave the Devil the finger when on his way to Heaven.

Yeah, that was great too. I liked the way they portrayed the devil as well. V nice. XD

Really? I felt he was a bit too Freddy Kruger... not as sinister as I'd like him to be. Might also be because I've usually seen Peter Stormare in a bit silly roles.

No, I think he was just right. I don't like the stereotypical impatient, uber-scary evil-looking type. It was in the sadism, in the not really caring it might take two extra seconds, the very patient behaviour that made it so 'nice'. He knows he has eternity, so why rush, mm?

Yeah, I agree with that. I just didn't like the hissing and hinting of wanting to bite. I liked that he looked human, and that they put him in a white suit.

Yeah, the hissing was a bit off-character, but the rest was absolutely sublime. The white suit was great. XD

Then I think we agree. The hissing probably won't bother me as much next time I see it. It's just a little thing I'll have to get used too. ;)

Definite agreement there. And the hissing isn't a major thing, so you might just manage to overlook it as a whole next time. XD
