The little guided tour of Portobello market went well yesterday. No problems. Was nice meeting her again actually, getting some news from the former home.

Went to the thearte again yesterday to see A Life in the Thearte. I enjoyed myself more this time, had much better seats, and didn't pay through the nose for it either. :) This time we stayed around after the show to get a glimpse of the stars, maybe even get an autograph. Both Sol and I scored an autograph from Joshua Jackson, here's a low quality pic: autograph )

Sadly my camera decided to die on me, don't know if the pictures I have taken can be saved, but will hand them in and let the pros. take a looks. Sol took a few pictures so I can copy pics from her. Patrick Stewart didn't come out the same way as Joshua, but maybe I'll catch him another time.

Next X-Man on the list is Alan Cumming at the Collectormania in April/May, will hopefully be able to get his autograph. :) Still not sure about Sean Astin, as I've already got a signed copy of his book, and those autographs ain't exactly cheap.

Saw Constantine today. I liked it, I must say. It's not the deepest movie I've seen, but it now ranks as a steady number 2 to the X-Men films on my comic-book-movie-list, and might be the first other comic-book-movie I actually buy on DVD. I liked the visuals, and it was a role that fit Keanu Reeves with his limited facial expressions. It's been called a mix between The Matrix and The Exorcist, which is kind of weird as I'm not a huge fan of either of them. I'm not really able to write a full-blown review of it right now, but what I will say is that I liked it.

Also got a kick out of the Sin City teaser trailer being shown before the film. The wait is just far to loooooong. *sigh*

The story continues... after my last post, yesterday, Beluga came back looking really great. She'd had some highlights put in her hair, and cut it a little. Two thumbs up! :)

We took it easy, went to the local mall before they closed, sent some post-cards. I spent about 12 Euro in Woolsworth, not sure what I bought though, a bra and some scissors, plus some chocolate. Then I went to the store and spent about 12 Euro on German potato chips, I know that's much! But it's so gooood! I would have spent that amount at home sooner or later anyway. ;)

The rest of the day we took it easy. Beluga decided she wanted to watch "Desperado", so I joined her. I didn't really like that movie before either, appreciate it more, now that I've seen "El Mariachi". Kind of curious about "Once upon a time in Mexico", even though everybody I've talked to says it sucks.
When that was finished I said i wanted more action, so we watched "The Replacement Killers", which was so flawed that even a five year old could have spotted the big mistake! We spent the last 20 minutes of it, just mocking everything going on.
We had a little break after that, checked the news online and read a bit. When the parental units eventually went to bed, Beluga and I watched "The Cell". It was special to say the least, kind of funky. The story is very simple, but the visual effects are really good. Lots of good imagery.

This morning we got up early, as usual. Beluga, dad, my aunt, uncle and I went to Flo-markt and had another look around. It was much better this time. Lots to see, lot of junk, but some good stuff among the lot. Beluga found a cool (fake) leather jacket which looked really good. She got it for 5 Euro, she was cold, and needed a jacket, so why not? :) About 5 mins later we found another one, but this one was longer, looked kind of Matrixy. I got it for 5 Euro, I was cold too, plus it fit me rather well. :) Now I just need some dark clothes and sunglasses and I can fly through computer programs. :P

When we got back, we just got ready for a family gathering. My cousin came with her two kids. + Her sister in law with her husband and mother. Kasia's husband dropped by for a sec, but he had to get back to work. I spent most of the time with Kasia's 20 month old daughter, just making sure she didn't bother Ami too much and didn't draw all over the table instead of the paper.

When they all left we were ready for dinner, one of my aunt's mates dropped by to join us.
That's it for today. :) Tomorrow we're getting up really early and goin' on home. Am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, even though I had a great time down here. Have lots of preparations for my return to London as well. I leave next week, and then it gets serious, have three essays to write and I have to read for my exam as well... But until then I'm just going to enjoy the free-time I've got. ;)

You've all probably noticed that I'm using my Journal to post some X-men news as well as my regular posts. This is just to make X-Men website
better. I will consider making a new journal for this later, but right now I can't be bothered.

Sniper470 can be downloaded! It's the short film that Billy Boyd was in. I've just downloaded it, and will watch it after wards.

Quiet day today. Camelia left a 7 a.m. to go to an audition for a school she wants to attend next year. I'm crossing my fingers for her. I really hope she gets in because she really wants it. But I must admit that part of me wants her to get in so I won't be alon next year. Feel kind of selfish.
Ok, I'm hoping she gets the result she wants out of this audition, because that's the most important thing! :)

I've gotten sick. Just a sore throat and cloudy head so far, and that I can live with. It's when my nose gets clogged up it gets really bad, but I'm not gonna worry about that before it happens. Am downing "soothers", some blackcurrant sweets for my throat and drinking tea, so I'm ok. :) No worries.

The guy from my production group called me at least 6 times yesterday. I didn't pick the phone, I was in no mood to talk with him. And if it was important the guy could have sent me a message. If he asks me on Wednesday why I didn't pick up the phone I'll just say that I either lost it or was never in the room when he called, and didn't have money to call him back.

Saw Britney Spears on "V Graham Norton" yesterday, not because I wanted to, but because Camelia just had to see it. Geez, Britney is a total idiot, the more she spoke the more stupid she sounded. I didn't want to say anything, but finally I did, and Camelia got all defensive about it. She tried to attack one of my old heroes, but then I just said: "You can say what you want about them I don't care. That doesn't help the fact that Britney is a moron." I let it drop after that, coz Camelia obviously couldn't see past the "Britney is a great dancer" thing. I just got a little annoyed for some reason... I don't know...

Saw "Matrix: Revolutions" yesterday, that was quite a sucky movie. The only thing I found a little enjoyable was the final fight between Mr. Smith and Neo. I also think that if I hadn't known who Hugo Weaving was I wouldn't have found that such fun either. It's just the way he talks in that movie... it's kind of weird. I think it's kind of sad that this was supposed to be the concluding film, when I was left sitting with a bunch of questions I didn't get answers to. The first movie was onto something but the last two really blew it. I don't really know if i liked this one less than "Reloaded", but it sure as hell wasn't better.
The fact of the matter is that I only went because I had promised Camelia and that I knew that they were going to show "The Return of the King" trailer before the movie. The trailer for "ROTK" broke my heart, I so wanted to run back here and watch all the trailers and look at all the pictures. I've been downloading things without looking at them, so I can know as little as possible before the movie. "Two Towers" got a little ruined for me because of all the spoilers and stuff I saw and read beforehand. I have read the books, but I don't know how it will play out in the movie. So I'm trying to get the same kind of surprised feeling that I got from "FOTR". Am really looking forward to it now, next week we'll hopefully have tickets for the premiere in Leicester Square. :) 32 days to go! ;)

Hey!
I'm back online! I've been settling in here in London, trying to adjust to my new surroundings. My mother came a long to have a look at the place and see how I liked it, dropped her of at the airport this morning, and now she's back home.
It was sad saying goodbye, but Camelia and I are sharing a room, and next week our two best friends are coming for a visit... and then we're gonna meet Elijah Wood & Sean Astin!! That's gonna rock.
I was at registration at school today... that was boring, the whole ordeal took a little over two hours, and that's not counting the one hour to get there and the one hour to get back. And on the way back there were these really annoying kids on the bus, I wanted to kill them, but Camelia handled it a bit better; We were sitting in our seats when these two little pricks come on board and sit behind us. It didn't take long before they started shooting small wet paper balls in the back of our heads. At first Camelia threatened to tell the driver and have them thrown off, this made one of them stop. The other continued, and we gave him a scolding as well. And this is how it ended:
Camelia: You know you're not gonna get a girl-friend behaving like that!?
Prick #1: I've already got one.
Me: Oh, poor girl!
Camelia: She's gonna break up with you real soon.
I know, it's not nice scolding young people, but considering that I was in a killing mood, they got of lucky.
After we got home and had gotten some food, Camelia and I went to the cinema to see "Underworld". My God, that movie sucked! Jeez, they had totally ripped off Matrix, Wolverine, Blade, Equilibrium, Star Trek and Final destination... so fucking sad. I almost fell asleep toward the end, and I never fall asleep when watching a movie!!!
So, go out and warn all of your friends! Do not throw away two hours of your life watching this kind of crap. (Might write a review later on.)
Will quit for today, am tired and I need my sleep.

Was at the cinema yesterday with Lily. We saw "The Matrix: Reloaded". First time I saw it, but it was her second time.
I can't understand that she was willing to pay to see that movie twice!?! I am very thankful that she joined me to see it, but that movie was crap. The Reviews here have been at about 4 out of 6 stars. I think the only reason it made it up to four was that people loved the first one. If I was gonna be very nice I would give it 3 stars, but I don't really think it deserves more than 2. But then again I have never been a big Matrix fan.
This movie has so many plot holes and missing information in this move... One might argue that we will get the answers to this in the third one, but I'm not hoping.
There are also a couple of scenes between Neo and Trinity where I felt like gagging. Now, I'm not big on the mushy romantic stuff generally, but this was too much, and sooooo out of place.
My theory of "Every movie has at least one good quote" was almost crushed by this movie, but I managed to find one or two I liked. The one I remember now is. Mr.Smith is saying something like "It's all me" Then he punches a guy in the stomach, saying "Me, me, me". The guy he punched turned into a copy of Mr. Smith, and he replies: "And me." That was a bit amusing.
For all of you that saw the spoof on The MTV Movie Awards 2003 will understand why Lily and I were laughing when Neo met the Oracle. Couldn't get the spoof out of my head.
In short: This movie isn't about the plot, but "Ooooooh, look how many effects we can make". Very sad really, because I feel that the first one was onto something.
Ah, well.

I'm just sittin' here munchin chocolate chip and hazel cookies, jummy.

As I wrote yesterday Lily had her birthday here. It was very fun, and she seemed pleased with her gifts. It nice to see when someone appreciate what you've found for them. Now, she pretty much told me where to go and what to buy, but I managed to slip something else in there as well. :)
We just took it easy, eating tacos, fruit salad and buns. Very tasty. Lily's a great cook.

Today, Lily and I am going to the cinema to see "Matrix: Reloaded". I'm pretty sure it's gonna suck, but am curious. Plus, Keanu doesn't look half bad in the trench-coat.

In other news, have started making X-Men icons. Go HERE to see. Take, comment, share. Never made any before, so they pretty much suck, but I'm having fun. :)

Think that's it for now. Gotta head for the cinema in a little while.

Time for another update...
The kidnapping went off smoothly. Isen didn't know what was going on until she received her ticket. Ylvis were great, and in spite of a little rain, we laughed our asses off.
Isen liked her pressies as well, Good Charlotte CD, A View Askiew movie (Can't remember the name), Clerks soundtrack, collection CD and a LOTR backpack (German writing, but she didn't mind). She seemed quite happy. :)

Finally saw "The Matrix" again today, saw it with my friend Lily after a little cinema misunderstanding with out two other friends. (Go read Lily's journal for the whole story.) I haven't really seen the whole thing since the cinema. Bought the DVD about 3 years ago, but never bothered to watch it until today. Gonna see the sequel this week. I wanted to refresh my memory, so I would have a clue when I saw the second one. I have to admit that there are a lot of great effects in "The Matrix", and it does actually throw some things at you to think about. But I was actually a bit bored while watching it. I spent more time wondering about why they kept filming Mr.Smith (Hugo Weaving) from below and up (The frog-perspective), than where the story was going. A little diversity wouldn't have hurt on that one.
There are probably hoards of fans that will call me a complete idiot for not going all crazy for this movie, but I just can't. I'm only watching the sequel because I want to see if it is as bad as the reviews over here say it is. Wouldn't kill me if I didn't get to see it at the cinema, but there's not much else on, so why not?

First day back to work today since May, have to work tomorrow as well. And that's all I work this month. Am going to Poland for two weeks on Saturday. About bloody time too, I'm a half 'n half kid, so it's gonna be nice to see where the last 50% of me is from. A weird way of saying that I'm half polish and proud of it), but that's how I've always put it.

Don't have anything more to say today... Good Night!
