I've been watching a cute little TV show called 'Empty'.
It's not really very eventful, but it's funny, high spirited.
Billy Boyd has one of the lead roles, which is why I started watching, but I' really enjoying it.
If you get the chance, have a look.
Jacky (Gregor Fisher) and Tony (Billy Boyd) are two ordinary guys who work for a property maintenance company, clearing out empty or fire-damaged flats and making simple repairs. Despite being very different, these two have simply "hit it off".
For both men, work is an escape. When they are together in an empty flat, they can go into their own little world – a place of wild flights of fancy and comic imaginings sparked by items they find or problems they encounter in each new location.
Promising to be both poignant and funny, Empty sees Jacky and Tony explore comic possibilities in the most mundane situations before the real world intrudes with its uncanny knack of bringing them comically back down to Earth.

Collectormania 9
Apr. 29th, 2006 09:47 pmWeird thing was this morning, I kept waking up and then trying to get out of bed before my alarm went off, it happened like 2-3 times, so weird. Was a bit hard to get up when the alarm finally went off though, hehe.
Took a while before I got to leave the house after breakfast this morning as I wasn't feeling to good. Luckily it passed and I was out the door.
Finally got up there at about 12:00 and met up with
![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
There was a lot of cool stuff, and seriously, if I was rich I'd totally go crazy shopping there. No that I really need any of that stuff, but... yeah, I'll shut up, hehe.
We met up with
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Finally
![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
We kept walking and looking at the stalls,
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I left just as they started packing up, think it was about 17:30. Had been a good day, so I said goodbye to my friends, and hopped on the train back to London, where I got stuck sitting with 7-9 guys who very talking about football (soccer) and drinking beer.
Have taken it easy since I got back, relaxed and watched TV. Picspam from the event to follow. :)

I was so bored today, that I sat down and went through my picture folders and tinkered a bit with my pics to be able to make this.
Ground Rules: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order. Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities or characters in a movie or TV show. For example, you might want to gag Mariska Hargitay, while still lusting after Butchy McFabulous Olivia Benson.

Big update!
Dec. 11th, 2005 03:40 pmI found this in magikalcrab 's LJ and just had to share it with you guys.
Friendship isn't partying with a group of people to get drunk or chatting with him/her once a week, it's exactly the opposite. Friends make sure you get home safely and they help you when you need it, no matter the scenario. They don't care about what clothes you wear or what you look like, and they don't last for a day. Real friends are more interested in what direction your life is headed rather than your popularity. They care about what you have to say and how you feel, and once you meet this person you'll know it without having to think twice.
Holiday Love Meme (Secret Santa Style!) Okay, so I wasn't really going to do this, but I cracked... please go?
I've been thinking a lot about LOTR lately, and how I miss it, and then I saw a post in cantusnoctum's journal about the very same thing. Am thinking I'll have to buy the 'Ringers: Lord of the Fans' DVD just to get some kind of new feeling about the whole thing. It's been a good while since I've seen the movies too, so am thinking I'll have to have a look at them while I'm home this christmas.
Am thinking they all should have a reunion and make a film together again, doesn't have to be LOTR related, I just want to see them all on screen together again. I still think Billy Boyd should play Driveshaft's managar in "Lost", come on! Who's with me on that one?
Where's Billy Boyd gone anyway? Feel like I haven't seen him in ages.
*runs and posts some billy icons*
I made them ages ago, just haven't posted them yet, they're up now in my Icon journal mukkianglia . Billy icons HERE.
Some LOTR related comic strips: ( IN HERE )
That reminds me, I saw "Everything is Illuminated" 2(!) weeks ago. It was a cute movie, but I thought that Alexander and the dog stole the show. Elijah's character was very calm and didn't really do much. Elijah did a good job, as always, but for me it lacked a little something. Still, it was very sweet and endearing.
Though their representation og helpfulness in the Ukraine compared to USA was totally wrong. My experiance traveling in Poland has taught me that people will bend over backwards to help you, while here in Europe people will barely look at eachother.
It just bugs me when people in Easter Europe are presented as angry and resentful and Americans and Western Europeans are presented as happy-go-lucky people...
I ramble, go see the film, don't listen to me.
I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" yesterday with Sol, JC and his boyfriend Kenneth. It was a cute film, but I'm not going all crazy over it. Did however like it much more than the last Harry Potter film. The youngest girl in the film, Lucy, was such a charmer, so cute. And the oldest boy, Peter, made me wish I was 16 again... *nuff said*
Tilda Swinton was very good as well and I loved her colour-changing-dress, except for the top part, there was something weird going on there.
The CGI was a bit disappointing, the beavers were good. I think the wolf CGI was put over dogs or something... looked good sometimes, and very bad other times. I wasn't impressed by the work on Aslan either, but I seem to be the only one. The fox looked like he'd escaped from the 'Shrek' movies.
It was an enjoyable film, and I can see it turning into a christmas movie for me, time will tell.
After the film we went to JC and Sol's place, pigged out on Pizza and crisps, talked and watched some telly. Was very nice. Suddenly it was half past twelve and I figured that since it took at least 20 minutes to get back to my place I should get going. So I go out, and start walking the wrong way... turn around find out I'm on the right path, get confused and end up hailing a cab and paying 7 pounds to get home, no biggie, it was worth it. :)
It is sad however that I've been at their place 4-5 times now and still haven't gotten the way back to my place figured out yet. Hehe, anyways, had loads of fun.
Think that's it for now. I wanna thank everybody who helped me find info for my essay. I've finished it and all your info helped a lot! *huggles you all*
Now I've started my production essay... 4000 words about nothing. ;P
Got 277 words so far, so that's a start, have gotten Firefly a mention in there so far... with regards to inspiration. Will try to include some of my other favourites, just so I can write a bit about stuff I actually know. ;)
Oh! I almost forgot! Remember that I mentioned that Take That are getting back together? I also posted some of their old music HERE if you want to have a listen.
Anyways, they're going on tour, and I made an off hand remark about it when I was at JC and Sol's yesterday. Suddenly Sol's face lights up and she says 'it would be fun to go', I say it would be fun to just put that 'childhood' dream to rest. I remember being so pissed when my parents wouldn't let me go to Sweden for their last concert... seing as I was about 13 at the time I understand them now. Anyways, somehow Sol and I agree we're going to their concert at Wembley Arena in may! Then I see JC thinking a bit and he mentions he has time off, so we just look at him a bit, and now he's coming too! AH! So much fun! I've never been to a 'real' concert. Just Hit Awards 1999 in Oslo. I feel like a kid again, seriously. I'm still waiting till we book the tickets before I get all fired up, but just the thought is good for now. It's not just the concert, but the fact that both JC and Sol wants to join me! Am very happy.
Ok, I'll have finish now, have to write a little more, and pack. I'm going home in 4 days!!!
Have a nice one people!

Billy Boyd singing
Mar. 12th, 2004 01:14 pmI seriously hate this song, and when Billy started singing it I couldn't believe he was singing that song... then I just got caught up in the fact that Billy was singing... he made the song pretty. Wanna listen?
I've had a pretty calm week this far, school is starting to get a bit stressful, but I'm dealing with it. :) Might go to the cinema this weekend and see "Starsky and Hutch", it's a pre-premiere thing, and I wanna go to the cinema, so why not? :)
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT:

Hey! That's tonight! Yay! I am so taping it!! "Sorry America, this one is just for us Brits."

Anyways, I managed to drag myself to the London Film and Comic Con.

Time Travel and Talk Shows
Dec. 6th, 2003 12:39 amwas terrible! Geez! The old version is a masterpiece compared to this version. The monkey people (Morlocks) just looked terrible, I was laughing my ass off when they showed up on screen. And the humans (Eloi), well, don't have too much to say about that... Another thing, I don't usually have anything to say about the score of the movie, but I can't shut up about this one. The music was really irritating, it sounded like a tape recorder that's running out of batteries. Just plain terrible. Hmm, I should shut up now, cos I'm just rambling.
Saw "V Garham Norton" this evening, Val Kilmer was a guest... is that guy on drugs?? Or is he just slow? I think being the voice for Moses got to his head... he had a full-grown beard, and just basically looked like a hobo. Ok, 'll shut up, don't want to offend any fans. Urgh...
Then I saw "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross". Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne were on, always funny. They started talking on one time Kelly had walked in on
Sharon and Ozzy while they ere having sex. Disturbing. I really like that talk show, it's not so typical as the other talk-shows. He usually has fun guests anyway.
Hmm, am really rambling today aren't I? I'm just bored. Camelia is out at a concert; Händel's "Messiah". Then she's going to a party. I'm staying home for two reasons; I've got my period, and I don't really know the people having the party. Besides I'm not really a party person, I prefer quiet cafe's or just staying in with some friends. Ah, well I still have fun, just in a more quiet day.
Oh! I almost forgot! I got a C+ on my "Reading Film" test! It counts for 30% of my final grade, so I'm happy. I was so sure I had flunked. Last lesson he went through some stuff and said what people had done wrong, and then I just though. "This can't have gone well." Now, just before he was going to hand out the test yesterday, he said that four people in our class had gotten an F, and then I was soooo sure I had flunked. So, he handed them out, and I wasn't going to look at it, but couldn't help myself, and there it was! A C+! I almost jumped out of my chair and did a happy dance, but managed to contain myself. I am so pleased. I know C+ isn't the greatest grade in the world, but it's the best one I've gotten in quite some time. :)
Bought the soundtrack for "The Return of the King" today. It was beautiful! Wow! Just great to get into the spirit before the movie. Billy Boyd and Viggo Mortensen are featured on the Cd, very nice. I thought Liv Tyler was also supposed to have a song on the track, but I might have been misinformed.
So, now three of the hobbits are featured on some kind of CD, just need to hear Sean Astin. I'm crossing my fingers for Sam's little song in Cirith Ungol. They didn't really want to answer that at the "Collectormania 4" screening. So I'm choosing to take the silence as a "yes". Ah, well, I'll find out in 12 days!
I don't really know what to make of Annie Lennox's song... I like it, but I just can't connect it to "Lord of the Rings". I just can't, but I was the one who wanted Enya to sing the title song for all three films. "May it Be" is my favorite one so far anyway. People might disagree with me, and they are welcome to do so, but I'm sticking with my choice
Think I'll sign off now, am getting fed up with writing.

Nov. 15th, 2003 11:56 ambetter. I will consider making a new journal for this later, but right now I can't be bothered.
Sniper470 can be downloaded! It's the short film that Billy Boyd was in. I've just downloaded it, and will watch it after wards.
Quiet day today. Camelia left a 7 a.m. to go to an audition for a school she wants to attend next year. I'm crossing my fingers for her. I really hope she gets in because she really wants it. But I must admit that part of me wants her to get in so I won't be alon next year. Feel kind of selfish.
Ok, I'm hoping she gets the result she wants out of this audition, because that's the most important thing! :)
I've gotten sick. Just a sore throat and cloudy head so far, and that I can live with. It's when my nose gets clogged up it gets really bad, but I'm not gonna worry about that before it happens. Am downing "soothers", some blackcurrant sweets for my throat and drinking tea, so I'm ok. :) No worries.
The guy from my production group called me at least 6 times yesterday. I didn't pick the phone, I was in no mood to talk with him. And if it was important the guy could have sent me a message. If he asks me on Wednesday why I didn't pick up the phone I'll just say that I either lost it or was never in the room when he called, and didn't have money to call him back.
Saw Britney Spears on "V Graham Norton" yesterday, not because I wanted to, but because Camelia just had to see it. Geez, Britney is a total idiot, the more she spoke the more stupid she sounded. I didn't want to say anything, but finally I did, and Camelia got all defensive about it. She tried to attack one of my old heroes, but then I just said: "You can say what you want about them I don't care. That doesn't help the fact that Britney is a moron." I let it drop after that, coz Camelia obviously couldn't see past the "Britney is a great dancer" thing. I just got a little annoyed for some reason... I don't know...
Saw "Matrix: Revolutions" yesterday, that was quite a sucky movie. The only thing I found a little enjoyable was the final fight between Mr. Smith and Neo. I also think that if I hadn't known who Hugo Weaving was I wouldn't have found that such fun either. It's just the way he talks in that movie... it's kind of weird. I think it's kind of sad that this was supposed to be the concluding film, when I was left sitting with a bunch of questions I didn't get answers to. The first movie was onto something but the last two really blew it. I don't really know if i liked this one less than "Reloaded", but it sure as hell wasn't better.
The fact of the matter is that I only went because I had promised Camelia and that I knew that they were going to show "The Return of the King" trailer before the movie. The trailer for "ROTK" broke my heart, I so wanted to run back here and watch all the trailers and look at all the pictures. I've been downloading things without looking at them, so I can know as little as possible before the movie. "Two Towers" got a little ruined for me because of all the spoilers and stuff I saw and read beforehand. I have read the books, but I don't know how it will play out in the movie. So I'm trying to get the same kind of surprised feeling that I got from "FOTR". Am really looking forward to it now, next week we'll hopefully have tickets for the premiere in Leicester Square. :) 32 days to go! ;)
