I'm getting the impression that all my posts aren't showing up on my flist again. So figured I'd provide links to some of my previous posts:
Of vampires and zombies   [21 Oct 2006|11:16am]
Supernatural - 204   [21 Oct 2006|12:42am]
Just hope this post shows up on your flists. Hmm, do me a favour? If you can see this, comment, even if there's nothing else of interest in this post, just tell me if you can see it.

I stumbeled over this meta about Dean's shirt in the last episode (204). It's pretty convincing, but I'm still not quite sure, help convince me.

[profile] starlit_woods made me very happy today. He linked me to this vid:
[Error: unknown template 'video']It's Take That's new song. NEW! I had no idea this would make me so happy, but seriously, I'm bouncy after this. I guess that 13 year old fan girl in me is still alive and kicking. Thank you so much again [profile] starlit_woods!!!

It's been a quiet week really. Not much to do at work, just watching the groups movies and giving them feedback. Was interesting to see the process from this end. They're still pretty new to it all, and I could see where they had been having trouble, but hopefully they've taken something away from this project and can therefore make the next one better.
They're off to Bergen this weekend, showing one of the films. Hope it turns out good for them,

I've been off since Thursday, and won't have to be back at work until Tuesday, which is nice.
Most of Thursday I went through my old stuff that was stored in the garage. A lot of memories crammed into a few boxes. Have thrown away quite a bit of stuff. I saved a lot of magazines the last time we moved, threw them away this time. Looked through a couple, made an amusing discovery. I kept finding pictures and posters of this young guy and thought he looked rather familiar, found a poster with his name; Jesse Spencer, didn't quite connect the dots, and then it hit me. Had to laugh, he looked so young and goofy, the mags were from 97-99, so he was in his late teens in the pictures I found. I saved some of them, for now, will have to see if they survive the move.
In the afteroon I went for a visit to [personal profile] beluga. He bf had left for a long vacation on monday, so wanted to cheer her up. We just sat talking and taking it easy, was very nice. She showed me the first three episodes of "Dexter". I liked it, din't think I would when I first heard about the show, but the characters are well done, and Dexter himself is absurdly likeable. It's mordbi and funn, a nice twist.

Friday was quiet, I got a hold of "Supernatural - 204". Chatted a little with [profile] isil80. Started making stuff ready for my online auction, am getting rid of som stuff I don't need.
[personal profile] beluga came by, we watched "Supernatural", twice. I would have watched again, I loved that episode. We talked a bit and had fun, was a nice afternoon. She had to leave early as she was doggie sitting. In the evening I took it easy and went through some more stuff to either sell or throw away.

Saturday I returned to the garage, think I'm done with the major work in there for now. Just have to get stared on my room now, pack what I won't be needing until January, maybe find some more stuff to sell, and try to throw away some things as well.
We discussed a little bit how to best utilize the space in the new flat, my parents have to get rid of a lot of furniture, luckily I get to keep most of mine. The only think I have to leave behind is my desk, and I'm pretty happy about that as it's practically falling apart. In the new flat I'll be getting a fold out couch and a new desk, which I'm very pleased about as it's needed. Will maybe get a new chair to, depends on how things look when we've moved in. No rush though. I have everything I need, and if I start payed employment in January I won't be home much, ergo, won't need those things straight away, and will also be able to help pay for it when we get it.
I ended up putting up a few of my things for slae at my online auction yesterday before crashing in fromt of the computer to check out what kind of show "The Class" is. Was only going to watch one, but ended up watching the first three. I am amused. It's a very simple premise, but I am enjoying it. Think I needed a comedy series that I haven't seen a million times before.

Today I've been taking it easy, adding some things to my online auction, tidying up a little, and rummaging through the storage space to see what of my stuff had ended up there. Might be a few more choice items that ends up being sold. We'll see. Would be nice to actually get some money for some of it. Money that would be my own, that I'd earned. Heh, anyways, been helping a little around the house as well. Now I'm ready to call it quits for today, unless I get inspired to go crawling in the storage space again looking for stuff.

Hope everybody had a nice weekend!

I got tagged by [personal profile] beluga at the beginning of the month.
I was so bored today, that I sat down and went through my picture folders and tinkered a bit with my pics to be able to make this.

Ground Rules: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order. Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities or characters in a movie or TV show. For example, you might want to gag Mariska Hargitay, while still lusting after Butchy McFabulous Olivia Benson.

I finally got to see 'Brokeback Mountain' yesterday. Caught it with [livejournal.com profile] isil80 and [livejournal.com profile] beluga. We all liked it, though I have to admit I did feel it suffered under Ang Lee's need to drag stuff out, but it was still beautifully done, and the cinematography was wonderful. It didn't grab me in tha same way it seems to have grabbed most of my flist, I didn't cry, but I felt for them. The acting was superb, and I can fully understand all the awards talk, if this movie doesn't walk away with some kind of Oscar I'll be astounded.
I have to say that it is my favourite Ang Lee film so far.
I remember discussing this film with JC's boyfriend right before I came home for christmas, he was so happy that there was finally a film where homosexuals were portrayed like "normal" people instead of the feminine comic relief or the leather clad freak, and I totally agree with him, even more so after watching the film.
Now I haven't read the story, but I would have liked to see a little more about how this affected the wifes in the story, we get to know Alma to some extent and I kind of wanted more from her point of view.
Anyway, I hope there will be more films that can handle the theme and stories like this with the same kind of care that this film showed us was possible.

Not long till I have to return to London now.. about a week, I leave next Sunday. Part of me is looking forward to get started again, because now we'll actually start shooting our film, though that is also what I'm most nervous about. On the other hand I would like to stay home a little longer, will be over there for 8 weeks now, then a week in Poland before I get home. Kind of scary to think that I'll be finished with everything in May and that my graduation's in July!

Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 Guilty Pleasures" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 Guilty Pleasures as well as state this rule. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
1. Ackles/Jackman/Wood...
2. German crisps/chips, so jummy. Stupid Lidl stopped selling them here.
3. Internett, I could spend the whole day online, no problem.
4. Tv shows, some crappy, some good. Right now "Supernatural" is nr.1, and it's good.
5. Going to various conventions where I can catch a glimpse of my fave stars.

I saw 'Wrong Turn' on Wednesday, another bad scary movie, but I found it much better than 'Cabin Fever'. This one at least got me a bit stressed, and I actually kind of cared about some of the characters. Though I must admit I've never been a fan of the 'out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-chased-by-creepy-locals-and-the-cops-are-all-morons-and-the-locals-are-sweaty-nasty-looking-people-with-missing-teeth' kind of scary movies. I have to say that I feel about 'Wrong Turn' rather similar to what I felt after the remake of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. It stressed me, and I did yell at the screen, because people in these movies are always so fucking stupid. It's not a good movie, but I guess it works the way it's supposed to.

After that I figured I should watch something a little nicer, so I watched 'Danny the Champion of the World' which was very sweet. I remember loving this film when I was a kid, and figured it might be a bit childish now, but it's very sweet and endearing. It's a very simle story, based on a novel by Roald Dahl. One of his more 'normal' stories. ;)
It's the kind of film the whole family can watch together, withouth having the sexual innuendos to amuse the parents.

Right now, at this very moment, [livejournal.com profile] beluga and I are working on each our laptop. She's been reading "Supernatural" fics and is trying to find out if the laptop they use on the show belongs to Sam or Dean.

Elijah Wood is 25 years old today. *Throws confetti*

What else... we've been watching some "Sledge Hammer!"; The adventures of a dumb police detective who always looks for the most violent solution to any problem. Armed only with a Magnum, grenades, several Uzi machine-guns, and a bazooka, our hero singlehandedly makes the streets safe again for law-abiding citizens.
It's an 80s TV-show, that I loved as a kid. Was one of those very silly shows that I'd run home to see, kind of the same scenario as with "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr". We saw 3 episodes last night. It's still funny, because now I get jokes that I most likely didn't catch when I was a kid.
Sledge is kind of the same type as Tackleberry from 'Police Academy', so that'll hopefully give a good mental picture for those who haven't seen the series.

Think I'll stop now. Have a nice evening everyone!

... but am taking a little break. Need time to think a little bit, so figured I'd update.

Am feeling a bit better, but two nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night, after I splashed some water on my face I suddenly felt like the temperature dropped extremely and I was really freezing, and I got naseous, made my way in to my livingroom, grabbed my blanket, wrapped myself in it and just lay on the floor. I've experienced something like that before, but think it's the first time it was connected to a cold. Weird, went away though.
Tonight I actually managed to sleep the entire night... didn't wake up till 13:35. I hate sleeping that late, I always try  to be up by 12:00 when I'm at home... 10:00 when I'm in London.
Anyways... am feeling better. Just coughing and feeling a bit tired now, at least the runny nose seems to have stopped.

I've been watching 'Prison Break' eps 1-10. I really like it! The guy who plays Lincoln Burrows, Dominic Purcell, is half Norwegian... just had to mention that. ;) It's a good show. I've always though Wentworth Miller was a good looking man, but never more, but he does look very good in this show, hope the big-suits finally notice him and give him some bigger roles and such. I couldn't forget him after the 1 1/2 episodes of 'Popular' he was in, might have been because I loved his character though.

Am still loving 'Supernatural'. That scene in 'The Journey Home' when Dean calls his Dad. Just wonderful. I want more episodes now!!! I made two Dean icons for [livejournal.com profile] beluga... I just had to share.

Normally I'd post these over in my icon journal, [livejournal.com profile] mukkianglia, but since they were made for [livejournal.com profile] beluga, I'll post them here.

Okay, should get back to my essay. If anybody has anything to say about camera work, or movies and such where they think the camera work and such is very good, please share, and tell me why. Am thinking mainly gritty or dark stuff ala 'Sin City' and 'Angel'... even 'Firefly'. Please share with me, links on the subject are welcome too. :)

Btw I've gotten some cards! I forgot to thank you! *slaps self*.
Thank you very much for you card [livejournal.com profile] starlit_woods, I loved it, and what you wrote made me smile. Thank you very much for the stickers too! :D
Thank you very much [livejournal.com profile] _krystleklear, what you wrote made me very happy, I hope to keep you on my flist for a long time too. :D
And last but not least thank you very much [livejournal.com profile] across_thestars for your wonderful card, it was very cute. :D

I hope everyone has recieved the cards I sent them, I sent them about two weeks ago, so they should have arrived by now.
