I was so bored today, that I sat down and went through my picture folders and tinkered a bit with my pics to be able to make this.
Ground Rules: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order. Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities or characters in a movie or TV show. For example, you might want to gag Mariska Hargitay, while still lusting after Butchy McFabulous Olivia Benson.

Am looking forward to this movie.

I didn't know what to expect from Ang Lee's upcoming gay cowboy drama BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. Well, that's not exactly true. I expected a couple of cowboys and I expected them to be gay. Other than that, however, I wasn't sure what to expect. Having just seen the trailer, though, I have to say it looks pretty damn interesting. Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger look like they put in some pretty terrific performances. In fact, Michelle Williams and Anne Hathway also look like they put in some great supporting work. I'm sure I'll still be appropriately disturbed at seeing Gyllenhaal and Ledger make out and be all "lovey dovey" but the overall quality of the movie should make up for that. The trailer premiered on CNN over HERE but it's in very slow streaming Windows Media. So, I found a relatively decent Real Player stream over HERE. If those won't cut it, though, the boys over at Twitch have their own decent quality video over HERE or a website that's featuring it in Quicktime HERE. It opens December 9th.

Figured it was time for a propper update.
Aug. 14th, 2005 09:59 pmAm watching The Three Musketeers, and figured I should update my LJ. Hmmm, did you know Kiefer Sutherland was born in London, England, UK ? That's news to me. I was just getting over that the screaching guy (Girard) who is swordfighting with D'Artagnan in the opening scene is Paul McGann. *snigger*
Porthos: He thinks he can challenge the mighty Porthos with a sword...
D'Artagnan: The mighty who?
Porthos: Don't tell me you've never heard of me.
D'Artagnan: The world's biggest windbag?
Porthos: Little pimple... meet me behind the Luxembourg at 1 o'clock and bring a long wooden box.
D'Artagnan: Bring your own...

Okay, lemme see. Oh! I've had some freaky dreams. The night before Benedicte and Nina were coming I dreamt that I went online at about 1400 o'clock and then I saw that Benedicte came online. I was so confused and asked her why she was still at home, and she simply replied that they'd changed their minds and decided to stay at her house. It felt so real, it was insane.
Now, I understand that dream. I was really looking forward to their visit, and I kept having the feeling that they would cancel. I'm usually right when I have that feeling, but was very happy to be wrong this time.
Second dream was horrible. When I was in grade school I had a horrible teacher who was a tyrrant, and would basically tell us we were no good if we answered a question wrong, and she was pissy all the time.
Anyways I dreamt that I was back at school for the first day of classes, and we get the message that the teacher we were supposed to have has taken a sabatical (or some such), and that we would get a new one. Two seconds later, the evil bitch of doom Synnøve enters the room, she sees me and gives me a little nod, and I could just see the devils in her eyes. That was horrbile. I still feel nervous when I see a car that looks like the one she had. Now, I haven't seen the woman in 11 years, so you can tell she left a lasting impression.

Cardinal Richelieu: A word of caution, milady. A snap of my fingers, and you could be back on the block where I found you.
Milady: And with a flick of my wrist, I could change your religion.
Cardinal Richelieu: You're very persuasive.

On Wednesday Benedicte and Nina were coming for a visit. They had to drive all the way from Oslo, so it would take a few hours. I expected them about 1400/1500. Got a message at about 1530 saying they were about an hour away, so mum and I headed out, we were at the zoo waiting for them at about 1630. I ended up calling them cos after a while I'm getting a bit worried. And I get Nina on the phone.
Nina: Yeah, we're really close, like 4 km.
Me: Oh, cool. Do you know what it's called where you are?
Nina: Arendal.
Me: Ah... that's about an hour away.
Silly confused girls. Heh. Anyways, they finally came a little before 1730, I jumped in the car with them and showed them the way to the house, while mom followed in her car. Mom had made some of her jummy, jummy lasagna. It was a big hit. We took it easy a little while, so the girls could get their bearings, before we headed out to sea in our boat. It was very nice, the sea was calm, and we just took it easy. Headed in to the city and docked there, and met beluga. Followed her up into town so she could have somme dinner after work, 20 mins she said.. but it was quite a bit longer than that. After that we all headed to a cafe, so the girls could get something to drink. It was getting a bit dark, so I got a worried phone call from mum. She wanted us back home. The girls finished their drinks and we headed back. It was pretty dark out on the ocean, I couldn't see much, luckely I knew where I should aim the boat, so we got home safely.
We sat up talking, after a while beluga decided to stay over too, so I had make her a bed. Was the most logical thing to do as we stayed up talking till 0200. We were all rather tired and crashed in to bed.
Next day we got up at about 1000. Mum made us a big breakfast as Benedicte and Nina wouldn't be staying for dinner. After breakfast we had a quick trip to the shop so Nina and Benedicte could buy flowers that they gave to my parents. Very sweet of them. :)
Then we finally headed out, had a quick stop in the city to show them the beach, before we headed to the zoo. I had some 'free' tickets that I gave them, as I didn't want them to have to pay 250kr to get in. beluga was with us for a little while before she had to head off for work. After she left Benedicte, Nina and I just walked around looking at the animals. Had some trips in the ridea as well, but we mainly stuck to looking at the animals. The wolverine popped by to say hi when we were up there, we also got to see the lynx, but sadly the wolves had decided to hide.
Benedicte and Nina had originally planned to leave at about 1500, but they didn't get into the car until about 1630. We said out good byes and they were on their merry way back to Oslo. I went back home and spent the rest of the day on the couch, was very tired.

Aramis: Leaving so soon?

Aramis: Especially your own.
Cardinal Richelieu: Stand aside.
Aramis: You are under arrest, charged with treason.
Cardinal Richelieu: You of all people should know that the Cardinal does not answer to the laws of men.
Aramis: Then you'll answer to God.
Cardinal Richelieu: [shoots Aramis] You first.

Donnie Darko star Jake Gyllenhaal was left in pain after shooting gay love scenes with Heath Ledger in new movie Brokeback Mountain. The pair play cowboys who fall in love in the western - and Gyllenhaal found the shoot particularly punishing. He says, "Heath almost broke my nose in (a kissing) scene. He grabs me and he slams me up against the wall and kisses me. And then I grab him and I slam him up against the wall and I kiss him. And we were doing take after take after take. I got the sh*t beat out of me. We had other scenes where we fought each other and I wasn't hurting as badly as I did after that one."
Plot summary: A raw, powerful story of two young men, a Wyoming ranch hand and a Texas rodeo cowboy, who meet in the summer of 1963 sheepherding in the harsh, high grasslands of contemporary Wyoming and form an unorthodox yet life-long bond--by turns ecstatic, bitter and conflicted.
There's no release date yet, but am looking forward to it.

Jun. 15th, 2004 06:54 pmThought I'd write a little more about "The Day After Tomorrow".
In short I liked it. It wasn't a overly deep film, but it was the kind of movie fun I've been longing for for a long time.
I went with my mom, and was actually not expecting to enjoy myself to much, but from the first disaster I was squirming in my seat, in a good way that is.
It does have a few similarities with "Independence Day", does not have the same levels of humor, but is still spirited.
When mom and I left the cinema we were both gushing, I haven't had this much fun in the cinema in a long while. Now the big question is; would I have felt the same a few months ago? I honestly don't know, all I can say is if you liked "Independence Day" you'll like this.
It was great to see Dennis Quaid in a good role, hope it gives him a boost.
Jake Gyllenhaal was adorable. Mom fell in love with him, I just think he's über-huggable.
Ian Holm was as good as always, he is a serious actor, but he did have a little humorous glimt in his eye in this film.
There were some moments I really enjoyed... ( SPOILERS )
