Thought I'd write a bit about my first day.

Well first off I didn't get much sleep tonight. First it took ages before I fell asleep, and when i finally did a couple of cats singing outside my window woke me up again. Don't really know when I finally fell asleep. I can't remember the alarm ringing this morning, I'd hit the snooze button, but as far as I remember I just woke up.
Of course when i got up I was feeling like shit, really nauseous and the asthma was bugging me, had to lay down on the floor for a little while. There was no way in hell I was calling in sick. I eventually got dressed and managed to force breakfast down. My dad drove me in to the city and I got to Noroff. I still wasn't feeling to good, so I just went to the bathroom until the class started.
I met Odd and his wife Grete, and I was introduced to the class. There are only 8 students, so am thinking this will be okay. After a little intro thing, I was left alone with the class and we watched 'Witness'. During the film I started feeling worse again, so I left for a little while, had to get some air. It helped so the rest of the day went okay.
When the movie finished Odd and Grete returned. During class I just handed out some stuff to the students, worked the DVD player, and on occasion shared some of my experiences from Roehampton. It was a short day. After lunch Odd and Grete had to leave, so I was charged with handing out some stuff and showing a clip to the students. Was done by 12:35, but decided to have a look at the cameras they're going to use before I left. Not what I'm used to working with, but If I'm allowed I'm sure I could figure it out. I was out the door 12:45. Mom came and got me. Ended up falling asleep on the couch when I got home. Did me some good.
All in all it was a good day, and if this is what I'm going to be doing I'm totally okay with it. I don't mind that it's not payed work, because it gets me out of the house, and if nothing else I'll get a recommendation out of the deal and that will be helpful.

Thought I'd write a little bit about how the filming went.

So that's the exiting world of movie making. Marie thought it was really cool, and I was worried she and her friends would be bored. Hehe.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I'm still sick... bored with it now. I wanna function normally again dammit! I wish there was a possibility for me to be at home now while I was sick, but nobody's made the *BAMF* pad (,or teleportation device if you will,) yet. :(

I can't stay home from school next week as well. It's impossible. We have to get prepped for shooting, and there's a lot of work to be done! *shakes head*
Miracle cures are accepted.

Am thinking I should check if I have the number for the school nurse, and see if I can book a time with her after class on tuesday if I don't feel any better during the weekend.

I felt pretty ok this morning. Slight cough, runny nose, a little weak. Then I go down to get myself some water. On the way back up I have to stop halfway up because I suddenly get naseous. Back upstairs I lay down, and then the headache comes. You know... if this headache would just clear up it'd help so much. Have taken a painkiller, but doesn't seem to be helping much.

*Sigh*

Sorry guys, you're probably bored to death by my whining. I'll shut up now. Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend.
roguem: Arwen grieving (Arwen)
It wasn't the smartest thing, but i felt better this morning. Aside from a stuffy nose and a little asthma trouble, I felt okay. So I went to school, I was tired pretty quick. By the time I got to school my asthma was worse, but I got some water and tried to relax.
By the time my classes were done I was exhausted, and so ready to get back to the house and take a nap.
When I got back there were two men in my room, they were fixing something in our bathroom, so I grabbed my laptop and went downstairs, luckely the studyroom was free, so I booked it and crashed on the couch. Slept for about 40 mins, helped a bit. When I finally made my way back up the guys were gone, so I crashed on my bed and watched a little TV.

I won't be going to school tomorrow, so exhausted. Will have to see how the rest of the week pans out.

Bah

I'm feeling a bit better today. At least the fever has let go, for now.

I cancelled the meeting today though. Got a message that we're gearing up for another test shoot on Thursday, just hope I feel up to it.

I was totally out of it yesterday, had trouble moving, and a severe lack of appetite. And worst of all! A Star Trek episode made me cry!? WTF is up with that? I wasn't quite aware of it until I felt the tears rolling. I was a bit lost tonight too; woke up several times, had crazy thoughs like; "This planet is to hot". Not good at all, though I am hoping the worst is over.

Think I'll have a little nap right now.

Grrr

I'm sick.
I'd actually hoped I'd get away without catching the cold that's been going around here. The last person is finally getting better, and then I get it.
It's weird though. I don't really have a stuffy nose, but my throuat is really sore and my body aches. I feel like sleeping all the time... woke up at 4:30 a.m. tonight. Blah!
I hope it passes soon. I'm supposed to have a meeting with my production group tomorrow, but getting up at 7 a.m. to sit on a bus for an hour. Talking to my group for barely 10 minutes about our actual film, and then listening to them discuss comics for the next 20 minutes, before I can get back on the bus for an hour before I'm back here... it's not very tempting. Will have to see how I feel tomorrow.

*Sulk*

Ok, I'll stop whining, I hope everyone else is okay and having a nice weekend.
roguem: (Hooligans by RogueM)

... but am taking a little break. Need time to think a little bit, so figured I'd update.

Am feeling a bit better, but two nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night, after I splashed some water on my face I suddenly felt like the temperature dropped extremely and I was really freezing, and I got naseous, made my way in to my livingroom, grabbed my blanket, wrapped myself in it and just lay on the floor. I've experienced something like that before, but think it's the first time it was connected to a cold. Weird, went away though.
Tonight I actually managed to sleep the entire night... didn't wake up till 13:35. I hate sleeping that late, I always try  to be up by 12:00 when I'm at home... 10:00 when I'm in London.
Anyways... am feeling better. Just coughing and feeling a bit tired now, at least the runny nose seems to have stopped.

I've been watching 'Prison Break' eps 1-10. I really like it! The guy who plays Lincoln Burrows, Dominic Purcell, is half Norwegian... just had to mention that. ;) It's a good show. I've always though Wentworth Miller was a good looking man, but never more, but he does look very good in this show, hope the big-suits finally notice him and give him some bigger roles and such. I couldn't forget him after the 1 1/2 episodes of 'Popular' he was in, might have been because I loved his character though.

Am still loving 'Supernatural'. That scene in 'The Journey Home' when Dean calls his Dad. Just wonderful. I want more episodes now!!! I made two Dean icons for [livejournal.com profile] beluga... I just had to share.

Normally I'd post these over in my icon journal, [livejournal.com profile] mukkianglia, but since they were made for [livejournal.com profile] beluga, I'll post them here.

Okay, should get back to my essay. If anybody has anything to say about camera work, or movies and such where they think the camera work and such is very good, please share, and tell me why. Am thinking mainly gritty or dark stuff ala 'Sin City' and 'Angel'... even 'Firefly'. Please share with me, links on the subject are welcome too. :)

Btw I've gotten some cards! I forgot to thank you! *slaps self*.
Thank you very much for you card [livejournal.com profile] starlit_woods, I loved it, and what you wrote made me smile. Thank you very much for the stickers too! :D
Thank you very much [livejournal.com profile] _krystleklear, what you wrote made me very happy, I hope to keep you on my flist for a long time too. :D
And last but not least thank you very much [livejournal.com profile] across_thestars for your wonderful card, it was very cute. :D

I hope everyone has recieved the cards I sent them, I sent them about two weeks ago, so they should have arrived by now.

Okay, back to work.

I survived my trip yay! ;)

I don't think it was just nerves bugging me before I left, because I felt seriously ready to throw up before I boarded the plane to Oslo. Luckely it calmed down on the way, so I'm just relaxing now, taking it easy. :)

School tomorrow.

Ugh, have eaten to much... 8 mini tortillas. Am gonna burst.

That's all.
roguem: (Hooligans by RogueM)

So yesterday after my post, my headache was letting go, so I put on 'X2', wasn't quite able to keep up with that one either, but was better than earlier in the day. Still lovin' the fridge scene. *daydreams*

So went to bed at about 00:00, couldn't sleep at all. Got up at 06:00, got ready and we piled in a taxi to get to the boat. When we got there, we found out we were 45 mins to early... oh, how fun. :p I was surprisingly awake actually. We got on the boat which left at about 08:15. Had breakfast, and just relaxed on the way to Denmark, I had a flu bug annoying me, and my nose was running like crazy. Had a trip to the tax-free, bought some chocolate. Arrived in Denmark, sat on the boat, and the it headed back to Norway. Headace decided to return at that time, and that didn't really help much. Boat trip went fine, we had dinner and just relaxed. My nose started clearing up, but I was left with the headache. We got back at about 18:15. [livejournal.com profile] beluga  picked us up, went home, tried to relax a bit befor the cinema.

My head was starting to get a bit better when we headed to the cinema, which was good. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] isil80. They gave me a Marvel superhero bed spread as a going away present, it had Wolverine on it! Damn cool! Thanks again sweeties!

We went into the theatre, got free chocolate, hurray! And watched 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Was doing really well, and the headace had decided to leave me, when the movie is interrupted by this horrible sound, high picthed tone, think it lasted at least 5 minutes, the disruption in the movie was longer than that. By the time they figured out what was wrong, my headache was back, and worse. The movie started again, and I tried to relax.

The movie itself was good, brought to mind the lessons I had at school about musical, perticulary 'The Wizard of Oz'. I liked it, but will write more about that later.

My head is bugging me, feeling kind of sick on top of that, so am heading for bed in a little while. Can't be bothered to check spelling...

Tomorrow there's packing and other exiting stuff. ;p

roguem: (Default)

Just giving some highlights, might write more later...

I've been sick, but am feeling better now. Actually went to school despite feeling like crap.

Was shooting the contract killer thing yesterday, had some problems with the sound, so had to reshoot the parts with dialouge.

Made plans to go to the cinema with JC and Sol on Sunday to see "Saw" and/or "The Grudge".

Saw a really crappy movie with Mick Jagger this morning, called "Performance".

Saw John Cleese when I jumped off the bus this afternoon.

At this time next week I'll be on a plane home!!! :)

roguem: (Made by Elvea Aure (LOTR))

After my last post I was pretty much ready for bed, was really tired... but ended up watching the last hour of "Kill Bill vol. 1" in the study room with some people. Should rather have continued chatting with [livejournal.com profile] beluga .

Thursday was a long day at school we did some editing, actually think I'm about finished, just have to get the teacher to have a look at it, tell me that it's all wrong, and give it another try. :P
In the evening I was not in the mood to do anything special, ended up back in the study room and watched "Kill Bill vol. 1" again. This time there were more of us, and I just love some of the reactions they had. Especially to the last line in the movie, think they were ready to run to the cinema to watch "Vol. 2".
Afterwards Jan, me and Camelia started watching "Storm Riders", a chinese fantasy, film. Jan left in the middle since he had to go to work the next morning. Me and Camelia watched the whole thing. Must admit that I was bored out of my mind for the first 30mins of the movie, but then it got a bit interesting, very simple movie, but I liked some of the effects.

Yesterday I got my period and spent most of the day in bed, was totally wiped out. Tried doing some work on my essay and have about 400 words now... out of the required 2000, still have 17 days to finish it tho.
In the evening Camelia went out, I watched telly: "EastEnders", "My Family", "Friends", "Will and Grace" and "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross". Jonathan Ross was interviewing Clive Owen, who's playing Arthur in the upcoming "King Arthur" movie. He's one of the people who's been tipped as the next Bond. He might actually be able to do it, but I'm not to keen on him... it's not like when I heard Pierce was getting the role and thought "perfect!".

Today I slept late, just took it easy. Had a quick trip out to buy some goodies and top up my phone. So far that's it for today.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to feel good enough to go up to Milton Keys, to CM5. Had half a mind to not go, but have promised Isen to get 3 autographs for her, so I don't want to let her down.

roguem: (Made by Elvea Aure (LOTR))
We're sick. My head feels pretty heavy and I have a runny nose, same goes for Belgua. She seems a little more high-spirited than me though.
Yesterday after we got back, we didn't do much... think the most exiting thing was watching "O Brother where Art Thou", I was feeling pretty shitty by that time anyway, so a evening doing nothing was right up my alley.
Ami (my dog) ran away at one point, my dad, mom, Beluga and I ran out looking for him. I was two seconds for just starting to cry, when I saw mom coming up the road with him in her arms. I could have strangled him, but was just so happy to have him back.

During the night, Ami was sick, and threw up. Beluga and I had to clean it up. NASTY! Which resulted in a lack of sleep.

Today we had a big family breakfast, it was good. Quiet morning. As I wrote earlier, Beluga and I are sick. My aunt has basically lost her voice, so it's a sick-house here right now.
After the family breakfast we went to Fen-markt (possibly spelled wrong). A big market where they had a lot of crap, but I found two things amongst it all. "X-Men: Mutant Academy 2" game for my Play Station, and a lighter, that I'm gonna paint to look like the one Pyro has in "X2". It was pretty cheap, got the game for 14 Euro and the lighter for 2 Euro.
In the afternoon, Beluga and I rented "Matchstick Men". It was ok. From the commercials I had gotten the impression that it was going to be a somewhat amusing crime-caper, but it wasn't. Basically Nicolas Cage plays a neurotic con man who gets to know his 14 year old daughter while pulling off a con with his partner Frank. It's more serious than I had gotten the impression of anyway. I'd probably have appreciated it more if I'd had a better clue of what to expect.

Tomorrow I'm going to the hairdresser... Friday we're going to the Dom... other than that, I have no clue.
roguem: (Made by Roguem (BDS))
Got back from the camping trip about an hour ago. I'm rather tired, even tho we got to sleep this morning and I went to bed rather early yesterday compared to the other nights.
Belgua and my aunt have got the cold, my mom and I are starting to get it. Might be why I'm tired... don't know.

Anyways we had a nice time yesterday. Left early and drove for a while. Stopped in a little town and had a look in the shops. I just bought two tapes for my video camera, and a 5 pack of mini-disks. I was a nice day, the sun was shining and the temperature was at a comfortable level.
When we eventually arrived at the camp site we just took it easy. Beluga and I watched a little tv, there was an "Osbournes" marathon, so that was on much of the time. We also read our books.
In the eventing we went to a restaurant, but they didn't really have any food that Beluga and I liked, so after a discussion we went up to a diner at the other end of the grounds. Chicken and fries, always good. :)
After we'd eaten we returned to the camper van and watched some more TV, and read. Eventually Beluga and I went to look for the parental-units who were by the camp-fire. (It's a tradition in Germany to have camp fires at easter.) Found them, had a look at the fire, and returned to the camper van.
All in all it was a pretty easy-going day. I didn't mind it at all, and Belgua seemed happy reading her "Sharpe" book. (I'm still reading LOTR for the 3rd time.)

Today we got to sleep in, did me good. We just took it easy and got on our way after a while. Now we're back in Hamburg. Don't really have any plans for the rest of the day, might be just as well; give the sick a chance to get better. :)
roguem: (Made by Roguem (BDS))
Made it to Germany in one piece... almost. :p

Beluga came over Tuesday evening, to sleep over since we were leaving early next morning. We didn't get much sleep, I was tired, but my body and brain wouldn't listen + Beluga chattering beside me most of the night didn't help much. It didn't matter tho, got up in the morning without much trouble.
Eventually we got moving, and got on board the boat. We hurried to the seating area, since we wanted seats by the window. That didn't happen. We had reserved places in Captain's class which basically means we get a buffet on the 2.5 hour boat trip. Eat as much as you like.
Most people were finished eating before the boat left port, I waited a little while, but finally fetched some food.
Bad thing was that there would be about 1.5-2 meter high waves during the trip, something they mentioned after I had eaten. The waves hit us on the side on the back of the boat, so it was a pretty bad rocking motion. I sat with my eyes closed, just focusing on my breathing, and trying to zone out the people around me that started throwing up. After a while my mom got sick and started throwing up, which made it really hard to ignore. Didn't take long before I got sick as well. Beluga, and my parents thought I was sleeping since I had my eyes closed, but it was just so I wouldn't have to look at the pucking people. Sorry...am writing a little too much in detail about this... in short, my mom and I got sea-sick. Beluga and my dad din't.
When we eventually got our feet on land again I was pretty knackered, and was just happy that I wouldn't have to endure more waves for a while.
After an about 6 hour drive we arrived in Hamburg, and got a huge welcome from my family. It was great to see them all again, and I'm just happy to be here. When we got to my aunts apartment she gave us enough food to feed a small village. I took it as I had only eaten a little dry bread, and some gum since the boat ride.
We went to bed early, 21:00, took a while before I got to sleep tho. I was knackered. Beluga wasn't tired at all, poor thing, don't think I was pretty good company that day.

The next morning we had to get up at 09:00, which I didn't really mind. Would have loved to sleep some more, but I got up without much trouble. We went to a local mall, which is walking distance from the flat. Bought some candy. Then we went to a bigger mall called "Elbe". I got my eye on a "X-Men" game for Play Station 1, we'll probably be going there again, so I think I'll buy it. After wards we went to yet another shopping mall, I just bought a Coke, as the air in that mall was really thick and it didn't take long before I started feeling I'll. Helped with a little to drink tho.
The evening we just took it easy, think all of us were pretty knackered. Most of the grownups went to bed at at 21:00, Beluga and I stayed up watching Nirvana stuff on German MTV until 23:15. After that we just talked and had fun. Don't think we really went to sleep until about 02:00.

We had to get up at 09:00 again this morning, that was hard. I didn't get up more out of spite than the fact that I was tired. Ended up with someone letting the air out of the mattress we were sleeping on. I gave up in the end and got up. We didn't do much today, had a drive around the city, had a little look around. We saw the city hall, and the channel with the boats. Lastly we drove to the Repobahn, which is basically a very seedy area, with nudy bars, hookers, and such. Sad thing is that there's a police station in the same street, and a church at the other end of the street. We just drove through it, wasn't really tempting to step out of the car.
We were supposed to go to the "Hamburg Dom" this evening, which is a big traveling amusement park. But it's a holy day, so it's closed. Belgua and I have just taken it easy, spent some time reading our books, and figuring out what we can do while we're here. :)

Tomorrow we're going to a camp site, and will sleep over until Sunday. Looking forward to it. :)

Had a nice evening with the girls yesterday. I wasn't feeling a 100% coz I'd got my period. Luckily I wasn't totally messed up, and the painkillers seemed to work.

[livejournal.com profile] beluga  is doggie sitting, so we joined her for the evening. We didn’t really do much, just chatted and reminisced about old songs, sung a couple, even though I can’t sing. :p Ended up turning on CD’s instead.

Saw J.C. Chavez on Top of the Pops, I was let down… that boy has a strong voice, why doesn’t he use it?

Anyway, we watched a little telly as well. I don’t remember much else. I always get a bit groggy when I have my period. I got home late. Got rather sick. Don’t think I slept more than a total of two hours last night. Pain killers wouldn’t work… and still won’t. Trying to focus on other stuff.

Anyways, over to more positive stuff:

The case of the missing battery. )

Old birthday cards. )

Pirates of the Caribbean, second viewing. )

Think that's it for today. Am leaving for Germany on Wednesday, [livejournal.com profile] beluga  will be joining us. Will be muchly fun. :)

Both Camelia and I were under the weather, she's got the flu and I've got my period. It's hit me pretty hard this time, and resulted in an asthma attack on friday + 2 close calls.

Anyways, I managed to drag myself to the London Film and Comic Con.

Mom's home!
We got mom home today. It's nice to have her back, but she has to relax and stay off her feet so now it's up to my dad and me to keep the house in shape. That's not so easy when mom just can't relax because she keeps coming up with things she has to have done. I'm doing my best at keeping her off her feet. We can't have any visitors the first week because risk of infections, doesn't really help that I'm still getting over the flu. I don't mind not having any people over, the most important thing now is that my mom gets back on her feet. I'll hook up with my friends outside the house. ;)

Makeover day.
I had my makeover thingy on thursday, it was pretty fun actually. I just got there and a woman did my hair and makeup. I had to wait a little while before my photo session. That was pretty fun, my photographer was good looking, so it wasn't hard to smile. ;) When I was finished I had to wait an hour to see my pictures, so I went to a little cafe and just relaxed with a fruit salad. I went back to studio when I was finished to have a look at the pictures. I don't usually take good pictures, so I wasn't really expecting anything, but it actually looked good! I was pretty happy with the result. I'll get an album with the pictures in february, so then I'll get a real look at them and will pass my final judgment. Am looking forward to that. The reason for having to wait that long is because I'm in Norway now, and won't be back in London until february, so they said that they'll send it then. I haven't told my parents about this, I want to surprise them with it when I come back for easter-break. :)

"The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King"
I think I've decided that this is the best one. I've had trouble deciding, but that's mostly because there's soooo much happening in "ROTK" that I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I absolutely loved this movie, I cried, I laughed, I wanted to kill some people, and give comforting hugs to others.
There were of course some things that bugged me, and things I missed from the book. Legolas' lines left much to be desired, but I guess my feelings on that point are clouded by the fact that I think Orland Bloom is a shitty actor. I love Legolas in the book, and think that he could have been done much better.

Now, to the things I missed from the book:
Nr.1: The Cirith Ungol storyline was severely cut down and I found it way to easy. I was looking forward to Sam's singing, but that was not included. I had a suspicion of this when I bought the CD, but still had a little hope. I know it won't be included in the extended vrs, just because of the way the scene ended.
Nr.2: There was no House of healing scene. I know that these have been shot, because there are pictures! I'm hoping the extended vrs will make up for this, but time will tell. I just't felt that a whole chunk in the middle was severely trimmed down. I understand why, but I still missed them.
Nr.3: Most people were pissed because Saruman was cut from the last film, and I understand the frustration, even though the scenes at Orthanc were nicely handled, I did miss him being there. Am hoping the extended vrs will make up for this, and I know Chrisopther Lee agrees with me. ;)

That's all I can think of right now, even though I know there was something else. As I wrote yesterday, most people seem to feel that the ending goes on for to long. I say to them; "watch it again, and see how you feel".I really loved the last scenes, and was savoring them, because I knew that the movie would soon be over, and there's nothing like this to look forward to next
year. Also, the ending should have been a hell of a lot longer, if they'd followed the book.
There it is, it's all over. No more Hobbits or wizards. Nothing, it's no more. No more stages of the journey. What are we supposed to look forward to now? Tell me, please!
I must admit that I'm hoping for "The Hobbit" in 2006, like the rumors have been implying. But what I really want is "The Return of Frodo", "The amazing adventures of Hobbits". Whatever!!! I want more!
I'm going to see "ROTK" again, after christmas eve most likely. Am really looking forward to it as this will allow me to enter Middle-Earth again, and maybe wrap my head around the pieces I'm still trying to remember.
