roguem: (X-Men - Wolverine claws What now)

Weird evening, after my last post about finding the LP, I got ready for the cinema. Wanted to wash my hair as I was working tomorrow, and the movie started late.
Anyway, when I've finished I get a call from Odd (my boss) saying I don't have to come in tomorrow, and if I could come to his offices on Saturday to help out with some stuff, getting it cleared up a bit. I said yes. It's just a bit of tidying, should be okay. Anyway he said he was getting an office ready for the finance guy, one for himself, and get this; one maybe for me! All I've been expecting was a chair, maybe my own desk, not my own office. Still very cool, and shows that things are going forward with the movie. Yay.
Then comes the not so great, I have an hour left before leaving for the cinema, and my dad gets a call. When he's done he asks us; 'How do you feel about moving to the new flat on the 10th of December?' I'm not very happy about it... We were supposed to move in on January 10th. My mom gets all excited, and basically says 'Yes!' before my brain has even processed the information. I say okay, but also that I'm not happy about it, and because I'm a fucking weakling I start crying. I have no idea why I started crying, really. My dad hugs me and my mom worries a bit. I just say it's silly, and my dad says that it's not silly to have feelings. I mean, I was looking forward to a final christmas here, but that's not reason to start crying, hate it when I get like this. Was kind of suprised about how worried they got at my little outburst to be honest. Not important though.
They know I'm not thrilled about the move in general, and now they know that I'm really not happy about having the actual date moved up as well. I've told them that I'm not to crazy about moving, but that I do understand why they're doing this. I'm not blaming them, but I can't help the way I feel either. I've gotten the impression that my mom feels guilty about it, she's trying to buy me off by promising me one of those expensive video iPod thinges... not an iPod, but one of those things that's like an iPod. Not gonna lie, I really want one, but wouldn't feel right like this.
Bah, hate feeling like this... must focus on the positive. At least this will mean a nice quiet christmas.

Sorry guys, you must be so sick of my ramblings about this by now. So now on to happier things again:

I went to the cinema with isil80. We saw 'Scoop'. Now, normally I would never pay to watch a Woody Allen, especially one he stars in, as the guy annoyes the living shit out of me. And I've never been a big fan of  Scarlett Johansson either for some reason. But this was also a film starring Hugh Jackman, so I just had to give it the benefit of the doubt.
It's not a great film, but I enjoyed it very much. I laughed, I was stressed, I was hooked on Hugh's accent. Must say I was jealous of Scarlett on more than one occation, but lets not go there.

I read somewhere that it was a letdown for Woody fans, which probably explains why I enjoyed it. I thought it was funny and chariming, everybody did a good job and my annoyance at Woody's fidgeting was rather low. Hugh seemed so incredibly at ease with his character that I could almost believe that's how he is in everyday life. It was kind of hypnotic to watch. (for lack of a better word). All in all I found it very enjoyable, and it will end up in my DVD collection at some point, that much I can guarantee.

Think die hard "Deadwood"  fans would have enjoyed it as well, as Ian McShane had one of the main parts as well. It was also very nice to see Anthony Head again, even though it was only at a very short scene at the end of the film.

Also it looked to have been mainly shot in the area I lived when I was in London. Gotta admit it was distracting at times, but also very fun to see some of my old scenery again. There was actually a scene in the film at the only pub in Holland Park that I could stand; The Mitre, very low on smoke. That bit made me squee. They were mainly in the Holland Park and surrounding areas for the scenes in the city.

That's it for now. Might have to think about getting some sleep soon.
Tomorrow will be good:
Some of my online auctions are closing, and so far a few of them have fetched well over the asking price, which makes me very happy.
I have the day off, and can get some stuff done.
And most importantly: IT's "Supernatural" day! Yay. :D

roguem: (Supernatural - Dean Hero)
Sorry about my blow up earlier, it was in no way directed at you guys. You've all been good with keeping things under wraps, and if I've seen any spoilers in your LJs it's not your fault.
My rant was directed at the comms, and people posting there without real warnings, which resulted in me knowing things I didn't want to know. Seriously... I don't even want to know what color socks they'll be weaing in an episode until I see it myself.

Had a weird day. Couldn't sleep all night, kept having dreams where I was in serious pain, so I kept waking up because of it, this happened all night. And was very annoying. I'm talking serious pain her, like my body had been contorted in some way it just couldn't handle.
When I woke up I was actually naseous because of the pain from my dreams, how weird is that?
Later in the day, while at work, my back started aching, for no reason really. It's still bugging me. I have no idea why it should be aching as I haven't really done anything that would affect my back. My only conclusion is that I must have slept in a really weir position or something when I actually did sleep, and that's why all this happened.

It's my dad's birthday today. :D *throws confetti*
Woke up this morning and mom and I made breakfast for him. He was very happy about the presents, he got 4 shirts, 1 sweater, 2 ties and 500zl (polish currency) that he can use in Poland.
We celebrated by going to a chinese restaurant for dinner. People have been calling him all day.
Think he's happy about the day, now he's enjoying himself watching a football (soccer) game on TV.
He's going to celebrate on Saturday, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, btw, to my Norwegian friends. Have you seen the new commercial for IFA? The singing cop? I know that guy, well... I knew him. He used to live at the house in London. He was there during my second year. And that girl on the bike in the 'turn around' youghurt commercial lived there my first two years.
Funny to see people I've known or know on TV.

This has been a rather crappy day.
I decided to go to work this morning, as I was feeling okay. Last week I learned that they had parking for employees, so then I could drive in myself, and not have my parents do it. When i get there the gate to drive in to the parking area is narrow as hell. And of course I manage to put a dent in the car. The car we'd just spendt lots of money on in Poland to get fixed! When I finally get to the parking area, there are no free spaces, there are spaces for Noroff, but they all have names attached. Which makes the whole thing even more frustrating. At this point I'm really tempted just to drive back home, but I end up paying for parking and making my way to the classroom. There the teacher of the day seems very confused and tells me I'm not needed and says I can go home.
Seriously, just crap.
My mom was seriously pissed, she didn't yell, but it's easy to tell. My dad on the other hand put it down to the 'shit happens' file.

In other news my parents want to sell the house, I honestly hate the idea, but understand why they want to move. Personally I'd hoped that the next time I moved it would be to my own place, not following them again, but we'll see. This is a big house, and it takes a lot of energy to keep clean.
On the other hand, as I'm planning on trying to get my own place sometime next year I can leave most of my stuff in boxes until I actually manage to move.

I got my first answer letter today on my CV, it was a rejection, as the didn't have any openings. TV3 gets the medal for quick reply. I wasn't sad really, just happy to get some kind of reply.

Dad's entered something where you get to go parachuting for free, apparantly there's been so many interested people that they're going to be raffling out the spots. I had no idea that that's something he's wanted to do, or would even dare to do. Cool though.

Seems like my last two entries hasn't shown up on your flist paged, so here's the links:

Was at [personal profile] beluga's on sunday and celebrated her birthday. Was very nice, she made dinner, and served loads of snacks. We all just sat talking, was [profile] isil80[personal profile] laraneia and Camelia ([profile] elinlomheim). [personal profile] laraneia's husband stopped by after we'd eaten dinner. Was nice and calm, discussing various things. [personal profile] beluga was very pleased with her gift from me, a Supernatural collage and a promotinal card. I took the last bus home in the evening, was the last to leave.

Yesterday I drove my parents to the airport. They were leaving for Poland, [personal profile] beluga and I will follow on the 11th of July. They were very exited and I can't blame them, think it will be good for them to just be able to relax and not have to think about too much stuff. They had a good trip down, but their luggage was lost, they got it delivered in the evening though, which was good. Kind of wish I'd gone with them, but then again I think 2 weeks alone here at the house will do me good, and give me some time to figure out some stuff.

In the evening [profile] isil80 and i went to [personal profile] beluga's place for a BBQ, her sister, [profile] ate_yr_bees, was back home from vacation. Her brother and two young cousins + [profile] ate_yr_bees friend were there too. [personal profile] beluga really did a good job, food was lovely and it was a very cozy evening. We all just sat talking, and of course [personal profile] beluga and I discussed some Supernatural related stuff. I got to be a bit cloud outside, so we helped to clean up and went inside. [personal profile] beluga[profile] isil80 and I watched some TV before [personal profile] beluga found her DVD of 'Danny the Dog' (Unleashed). I liked it. One of the best Jet Li films I've seen, not that I've seen to many, but still. I really enjoyed it.
Afterwards we went down to the beach, was bonfire night, but since it was almost midnight we missed the big one. [profile] ate_yr_bees were there with some friends, some of the guys were slightly enebriated, so they provided some entertainment. *laugs*

Other than that I really don't have much to update with. Life is kind of slow. I'm just trying to fill the time with random stuff so that the days pass quickly. Marie will be coming for a little visit a day in the beginning of July, and then I'm off to Poland, yay.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Where's the 'insert picture' button in rich text gone? There's a new movie button, that doesn't work... and the picture button is gone. *sigh*
Give me back the button LJ!!

Winner in the icon poll is X3, gotta admit I didn't expect that, but cool. :)

Am slightly annoyed.
Went in to registration yesterday, and got the message that I was one day early and that I should come back today at 16:00. That, plus I figured out that I could have waited with my registration until tomorrow, ergo, I wouldn't have had to leave Norway until today! I could have celebrated my dad's birthday with him, gotten to say a propper good bye to [livejournal.com profile] beluga...
Ah well... How many days till December 15th?
Thinking I might come home in November even if I get time off or not, will have to check. If there's only one class that's not giving time off I'm ditching.
Am going to registration in a few moments, figure I would go early so I can reach the 17:05 screening of 'Green Street'.

Went to the airport tonight to get dad. He was coming home from Poland today. The plane was half an hour late off course, but he's home now. Mom still has about two weeks down there. :)

Also had my first day back at work today, was okay... boring as hell, and I'm seriously contemplating quitting. Dunno... work depresses me lately for some reason. Never liked the joib much, but this is different, feel like it's tearing at me this year.
roguem: (Made by Elvea Aure (LOTR))
I'm leaving tomorrow, don't really want to. Right now, crawling behind the sofa and staying there until thursday sounds more tempting, but it'll pass.
Wish me luck Wednesday morning, I'm going to need it.

Had a quiet day today, packed my stuff and sorted some stuff.. Saw "Back to the Future, part 1". Been feeling a little nostalgic, so I just had to watch it, still get stressed at the end. Saw "Phone booth" with my dad. Mum started out watching it with us, but got bored. Dad, on the other hand, liked it.

Am bored right now, so guess what!? That's right, another me quiz, maybe you'll learn something new. Feel free to nab and use yourself. I've stolen this one from [livejournal.com profile] curbsideprophet. If you wanna know, go on to the madness )

I know I haven't been updating my Lj lately, but there hasn't really been that much happening lately. Have finally finished my Film History Essay, hoping I'll at least pass. :P Now I have two minor essay's and an exam and I'll be finished with my first year. Really looking forward to some down-time, I feel really weak and tired lately, so I'm hoping I can keep my strength up for the final haul.

I've chosen my subjects for next year, if I get the subjects I want, I'll have to go to school four times a week before xmas, and once a week after christmas. Funky timetable, but I'm thinking it'll be good with stuff to do before xmas, so hopefully it'll go faster. After xmas I'll use my days off constructively, maybe use Ryan-Air to visit some relatives, tickets to Germany and Poland are cheap if I get a good deal. Will probably go home more often as well to be honest, just have to see what time will allow.

On Sunday I went a quick trip to Stanstead to say hi to dad, he was heading home from Rome, and had to wait there for a couple of hours. I didn't tell him I was coming, so it was a nice surprise. Sounded like he had a great time in Rome, I wanna go one day. Was nice to see him again, even though it's not too long until I go back home. :)

In the evening I was downstairs, Jan Christian and Solbjørg visited the house. Always fun to hear what they have to tell. :) They're going to New York this summer to see Hugh Jackman on Broadway in "Boy from Oz". I am sooo jealous! I told Jan Christian that I want all the details when I come back for my fall-term. He was nice enough to guide me toward some pages online where I could see some clips of Hugh in action.

Other than that I haven't done much really... am just counting the days until I can go home... 9.

-----

That is what I was ready to post in my journal on Wednesday, but some virus had infected the main computer, so the internett access shut down, again. Which leads to a double post within the same post. :P

Wednesday evening was the big semi finals in the Euro Vision song contest, it was rather horrific sight. Was very little I liked to be honest, some things I thought was kind of original or even good, but it didn't have the right feel. If this is what we can expect from the 14 countries already in the final, it might be worth watching just to see what silly gimmicks some of the artists come up with.
I'm not really a fan of the Euro Vision song contest, but for now it was fun just to hang out with the other people in the house and spoof the artists.

On thursday I had a really long day at school, doesn't help that we're finished in my eyes, but can't really do anything about it until next week. In the meantime, I have to fix stuff with my module choices for next year. The registry is on the day I fly home, so I have to fix it in advance.
Thursday evening I went to a local restaurant with Linn, Soma and Camelia. I was really nice, and there was very good food. I ate a big lasagna, so now all the people that have been wiggin' about me loosing weight can take a breather. The evening was fun, we just took it easy, enjoyed our food and talked. Most enjoyable. :)

Still countig the days until I can go home... 7.

---------------------------

A little addition... had a quiet day yesterday. Had a little walk around... think I'm getting the cold again, am just happy I'm heading home soon.

This evening I saw the Euro Vision Song contest, can't fucking believe Greece got third place! Come on! Anyway, was fun. The staff here had made little quizzes and such. I actually won three chocolate bars, who-ho! Kind of funny since I was just guessing wildly.

Now the net is finally back, so I'm hoping to get some work done.

In six days at this time, I'll be home. :)
roguem: (Made by RogueM (X))

Yesterday I was at the Collectormania 5. It was great, even though I at one point thought I wouldn't make it.
The first obstacle was getting up in the morning, I was very tired, but I got out of bed, and got some food. Then it was the task of getting my hair to look somewhat normal, when my mom rang. It was really nice talking to her, as always, had a little chat with dad too.

When I finally got on my way there were a few delays in traffic, so I got to the train station a little later than I though I would. Thought I have come this far so I bought my tickets and sat down to wait for the train to Milton Keyes. There were some delays and I didn't make it to CM until about 13:30. The first thing I did was run around like crazy getting que tickets. I couldn't believe there were any left but I got tickets for Peter Mayhew, Ray Park and Craig Parker without any hassle. I had a real hard time finding Robert Englund's booth tho, must have walked past it at least four times because I got bad directions, but I found it eventually and got a ticket.

After I'd gotten all the tickets the thought of food struck my mind, I hadn't eaten since 09:00, and was getting really hungry. Went to the closest diner and had a look at the menu, they didn't have anything to my liking. I stood on the top for a while, saw Clint Howard. Decided to find my camera to take a picture, but as I hit the button nothing happened. The battery had died, so I had to put food on hold and had to go hunting for a battery. Finally found one, spent a little over 10 pounds on it, but I was just happy to have it working again. :)
Then I could finally get some food, so I walked a lot in the search for a place without too many people, and food I would eat. Ended up in Burger King in some remote location of the mall. Food was good. When I finished up it was about 15:30 and I got back to where the signings were and saw that Peter Mayhew had an open que.

My meeting with Chewbacca. )

Afterwards I took a breather, even though I'd been sitting when I ate I didn't feel like I had done anything but run around most of the day. I usually sit still most of the day, so I was rather tired. I sent some text messages with Isen, she was at home sunbathing, just taking it easy. :) I decided to have a look in the stalls so I wouldn't fall asleep just sitting around, passed the board with the que-numbers and discovered that they had passed my number in Ray's que, and that Craig's had become an open que. I hurried over to Craig because I could get in to meet Ray anyway. I got over to Craig's que, and prepared to meet Haldir.

My meeting with Haldir. )

I hurried over to Ray Park's booth, and got in his que, which had also become an ope que while I'd been over at Craig.

My meeting with Toad. )

Was finished at about 16:45, sat down and waited to meet Robert Englund. Sadly it turned out that the mall was closing, and that Robert wouldn't be meeting anyone else. That was also something Isen wanted, but I hope she's happy I got the other two. Am happy I got to meet Craig because of her tho. :) So thank you very much for that Isen! :)

The story continues... after my last post, yesterday, Beluga came back looking really great. She'd had some highlights put in her hair, and cut it a little. Two thumbs up! :)

We took it easy, went to the local mall before they closed, sent some post-cards. I spent about 12 Euro in Woolsworth, not sure what I bought though, a bra and some scissors, plus some chocolate. Then I went to the store and spent about 12 Euro on German potato chips, I know that's much! But it's so gooood! I would have spent that amount at home sooner or later anyway. ;)

The rest of the day we took it easy. Beluga decided she wanted to watch "Desperado", so I joined her. I didn't really like that movie before either, appreciate it more, now that I've seen "El Mariachi". Kind of curious about "Once upon a time in Mexico", even though everybody I've talked to says it sucks.
When that was finished I said i wanted more action, so we watched "The Replacement Killers", which was so flawed that even a five year old could have spotted the big mistake! We spent the last 20 minutes of it, just mocking everything going on.
We had a little break after that, checked the news online and read a bit. When the parental units eventually went to bed, Beluga and I watched "The Cell". It was special to say the least, kind of funky. The story is very simple, but the visual effects are really good. Lots of good imagery.

This morning we got up early, as usual. Beluga, dad, my aunt, uncle and I went to Flo-markt and had another look around. It was much better this time. Lots to see, lot of junk, but some good stuff among the lot. Beluga found a cool (fake) leather jacket which looked really good. She got it for 5 Euro, she was cold, and needed a jacket, so why not? :) About 5 mins later we found another one, but this one was longer, looked kind of Matrixy. I got it for 5 Euro, I was cold too, plus it fit me rather well. :) Now I just need some dark clothes and sunglasses and I can fly through computer programs. :P

When we got back, we just got ready for a family gathering. My cousin came with her two kids. + Her sister in law with her husband and mother. Kasia's husband dropped by for a sec, but he had to get back to work. I spent most of the time with Kasia's 20 month old daughter, just making sure she didn't bother Ami too much and didn't draw all over the table instead of the paper.

When they all left we were ready for dinner, one of my aunt's mates dropped by to join us.
That's it for today. :) Tomorrow we're getting up really early and goin' on home. Am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, even though I had a great time down here. Have lots of preparations for my return to London as well. I leave next week, and then it gets serious, have three essays to write and I have to read for my exam as well... But until then I'm just going to enjoy the free-time I've got. ;)
roguem: (Made by Elvea Aure (LOTR))
We're sick. My head feels pretty heavy and I have a runny nose, same goes for Belgua. She seems a little more high-spirited than me though.
Yesterday after we got back, we didn't do much... think the most exiting thing was watching "O Brother where Art Thou", I was feeling pretty shitty by that time anyway, so a evening doing nothing was right up my alley.
Ami (my dog) ran away at one point, my dad, mom, Beluga and I ran out looking for him. I was two seconds for just starting to cry, when I saw mom coming up the road with him in her arms. I could have strangled him, but was just so happy to have him back.

During the night, Ami was sick, and threw up. Beluga and I had to clean it up. NASTY! Which resulted in a lack of sleep.

Today we had a big family breakfast, it was good. Quiet morning. As I wrote earlier, Beluga and I are sick. My aunt has basically lost her voice, so it's a sick-house here right now.
After the family breakfast we went to Fen-markt (possibly spelled wrong). A big market where they had a lot of crap, but I found two things amongst it all. "X-Men: Mutant Academy 2" game for my Play Station, and a lighter, that I'm gonna paint to look like the one Pyro has in "X2". It was pretty cheap, got the game for 14 Euro and the lighter for 2 Euro.
In the afternoon, Beluga and I rented "Matchstick Men". It was ok. From the commercials I had gotten the impression that it was going to be a somewhat amusing crime-caper, but it wasn't. Basically Nicolas Cage plays a neurotic con man who gets to know his 14 year old daughter while pulling off a con with his partner Frank. It's more serious than I had gotten the impression of anyway. I'd probably have appreciated it more if I'd had a better clue of what to expect.

Tomorrow I'm going to the hairdresser... Friday we're going to the Dom... other than that, I have no clue.
roguem: (Made by Roguem (BDS))
Made it to Germany in one piece... almost. :p

Beluga came over Tuesday evening, to sleep over since we were leaving early next morning. We didn't get much sleep, I was tired, but my body and brain wouldn't listen + Beluga chattering beside me most of the night didn't help much. It didn't matter tho, got up in the morning without much trouble.
Eventually we got moving, and got on board the boat. We hurried to the seating area, since we wanted seats by the window. That didn't happen. We had reserved places in Captain's class which basically means we get a buffet on the 2.5 hour boat trip. Eat as much as you like.
Most people were finished eating before the boat left port, I waited a little while, but finally fetched some food.
Bad thing was that there would be about 1.5-2 meter high waves during the trip, something they mentioned after I had eaten. The waves hit us on the side on the back of the boat, so it was a pretty bad rocking motion. I sat with my eyes closed, just focusing on my breathing, and trying to zone out the people around me that started throwing up. After a while my mom got sick and started throwing up, which made it really hard to ignore. Didn't take long before I got sick as well. Beluga, and my parents thought I was sleeping since I had my eyes closed, but it was just so I wouldn't have to look at the pucking people. Sorry...am writing a little too much in detail about this... in short, my mom and I got sea-sick. Beluga and my dad din't.
When we eventually got our feet on land again I was pretty knackered, and was just happy that I wouldn't have to endure more waves for a while.
After an about 6 hour drive we arrived in Hamburg, and got a huge welcome from my family. It was great to see them all again, and I'm just happy to be here. When we got to my aunts apartment she gave us enough food to feed a small village. I took it as I had only eaten a little dry bread, and some gum since the boat ride.
We went to bed early, 21:00, took a while before I got to sleep tho. I was knackered. Beluga wasn't tired at all, poor thing, don't think I was pretty good company that day.

The next morning we had to get up at 09:00, which I didn't really mind. Would have loved to sleep some more, but I got up without much trouble. We went to a local mall, which is walking distance from the flat. Bought some candy. Then we went to a bigger mall called "Elbe". I got my eye on a "X-Men" game for Play Station 1, we'll probably be going there again, so I think I'll buy it. After wards we went to yet another shopping mall, I just bought a Coke, as the air in that mall was really thick and it didn't take long before I started feeling I'll. Helped with a little to drink tho.
The evening we just took it easy, think all of us were pretty knackered. Most of the grownups went to bed at at 21:00, Beluga and I stayed up watching Nirvana stuff on German MTV until 23:15. After that we just talked and had fun. Don't think we really went to sleep until about 02:00.

We had to get up at 09:00 again this morning, that was hard. I didn't get up more out of spite than the fact that I was tired. Ended up with someone letting the air out of the mattress we were sleeping on. I gave up in the end and got up. We didn't do much today, had a drive around the city, had a little look around. We saw the city hall, and the channel with the boats. Lastly we drove to the Repobahn, which is basically a very seedy area, with nudy bars, hookers, and such. Sad thing is that there's a police station in the same street, and a church at the other end of the street. We just drove through it, wasn't really tempting to step out of the car.
We were supposed to go to the "Hamburg Dom" this evening, which is a big traveling amusement park. But it's a holy day, so it's closed. Belgua and I have just taken it easy, spent some time reading our books, and figuring out what we can do while we're here. :)

Tomorrow we're going to a camp site, and will sleep over until Sunday. Looking forward to it. :)

Camelia and I got back from Hull late last night. The train was an hour delayed. That really is too bad! I have the day off today, so it didn't affect me that much, but Camelia has school, so I don't think she was to happy about it.

We had a really nice time in Hull, got to sleep late and just relax, that was lovely. We had a quick trip to York as well, it was really nice with all the christmas-lights and everything. On Saturday we spent a great deal of our tim in the middle of Hull, in a shopping center that's built on the water. Pretty cool, it has a whole boat theme.

I didn't buy much, just some magazines, and a christmas present. I know what I want to get people, so now i just have to figure out a gift for Camelia and one for my dad. Everybody else I've already bought something for or know what I'm gonna get and where to get it.
