Just wanted to say that we arrived safely, and in one piece. We've been really busy and having a lot of fun. [personal profile] beluga now has a lighter shade in her hair, while I've gone completely black, with blue shimmer. :D
The flat looks great now that everything is in order, we're just waiting for a couple of chairs.
[personal profile] beluga and I have been shopping and sightseeing, hopefully we'll ba able to hit the beach one of these days.
I hope you all are having a blast, because we are!! :D

I am awake now. Ended up going to the shops, getting groceries for mum, and some crisps and nick nacks for myself.
Sorry boys, to dark outside for boot-pics. ;)
Am now trying to do other stuff so I don't break, and watch 'Scarecrow'. Maybe some more 'Pretender' eps. Have the first season on DVD, am almost done with it. Awww, the memories. Oh, Simpsons on TV.

I have arrived... well I got here yesterday evening. Was so tired.
Aunt Krysia gave med pizza, was very happy.
Went to bed early, but I didn't sleep much.

Saw the flat today. Tiny, but nice. Enough for us in the summers. :)
Took loads of pictures.

Am relaxing now, might go shopping after dinner. Yay. :)

I was on TV today! Well, the local TV, for about 3 seconds, but still. Worst thing is that I think the guy who interviewed me was in my class a few years ago. Hehe. Was out shopping with my mom, when this guy comes up to me and puts a mike in my face and starts asking me about the election, and what I'm gonna vote for and such. The interview itself probably lasted for a minute or two, but I was only on TV for 3 seconds.. still funny though. Politics is one of the things I find it really hard to get involved in, I know I should because it's important, but I doubt I'll vote this year either. I felt like I was babbling like an idiot when I answered the questions, but my mom said I did really good, and she wouldn't lie about something like that.

As I said mom and I were out shopping, didn't really get anything. I bought baby clothes for Marianne's baby, her due date is in 9 or 8 days, so I want to have something to give her when I visit them. :) I also got a pretty sweater for myself. It was a stunning blue color, and since I love blue, and it fit so nicely I just had to have it. Was a really nice trip out, has been a long time since just me and my mum went out together.

I just watched Jersey Girl for the second time, bought it a week or two ago, so finally had to see it. I really like that movie it's very sweet, and I think Ben Affleck does a really good job in it. However I am one of the few who prefer him (very much) to Matt Damon, so that might play a little part. It is a kind of role I've wanted to see him in though, didn't really expect him to play a parent in a film yet, even though it was a Kevin Smith film. I really like Kevin Smith film, but this is a bit more innocent than his previous stuff, but I still like it very much.

ExpandQuotes I like from the movie (spoilers) )

So in short, if you're a Kevin Smith fan, you'll like it. If not, you just might like it anyway. ;)

Liv Tyler is really sweet in it too, wasn't really expecting her to pop up in a Kevin Smith film, dunno why, but am glad she did. And I always enjoy George Carlin in Kevin's movies.

Oh! And for those of you who buy the DVD, you just have to watch, Roadside Attractions, they're hilarious. Don't really have anything to do with the film, but you must watch!

Slightly freakish River Tam (Serenity) clip to be found HERE. Go watch! I want Serenity now dammit!

Ok, can't write more right now. I apologize for any spelling mistakes, but am very tired and head is in pain. Will try to write more tomorrow, and that will include my review of The Phantom of the Opera.

First off, just read a X-Men fan fic, it had me cringing most of the way. So I just had to inflict it on you guys: Queer Eye For the Mutant Guy. Enjoy!

ExpandFast Car. )

Cleaned out my closet today, actually had some clothes to give away, so I got rid of some stuff, and finally made some order in the chaos.
Will have another look at what I have in London, maybe I can get rid of some of that stuff as well. I need new sweaters. Have enough tops and t-shirts... for now.
I'm not big on shopping for clothes, but sometimes I strike gold. Maybe I'll get lucky again.

What have I done today?
I was online early this morning chatting with beluga which was fun. We got to air out some stuff, think it did us both some good. :)
Afterwards I watched tv, and worked a little on my homepage.
Then I got mom to call me, we talked for a bit which was nice.
Now I'm ready to crawl the walls. I just wanna go home! I'm so fucking sick of this place. I can't go out shopping because I don't have anymore room in my suitcases, and no matter how much I try to do something with my essay... I can't.

ARGH!

Did you miss me?

The Internet connection hasn't been available here until this evening, pure torture. ;P

Got in just fine on Monday evening, the plane rides went fine. Only bad thing was that my coke-bottle had leaked in my backpack, luckily nothing inside got seriously wet.

Yesterday I did some shopping an unpacking. Tried to work a little on my essay, but am finding it hard to start. Ended up watching "C.S.I." and "Law and Order".

Today was my first day back at school, went ok, actually found the topic interesting. :)
Afterwards I went into Tottenham court road, Oxford circus, Piccadilly circus and Mable arch. Went looking for someone to unlock my new cell phone, and my mum's as well. Came across a DVD shop, got "Apollo 13", "The Mexican" and "A Midsummernight's Dream" for £18. Pretty happy. When I had almost given up I finally found someone to unlock the phones. Had to wait an hour for mum's phone.
Staying in this evening, working on my essay. :)

The story continues... after my last post, yesterday, Beluga came back looking really great. She'd had some highlights put in her hair, and cut it a little. Two thumbs up! :)

We took it easy, went to the local mall before they closed, sent some post-cards. I spent about 12 Euro in Woolsworth, not sure what I bought though, a bra and some scissors, plus some chocolate. Then I went to the store and spent about 12 Euro on German potato chips, I know that's much! But it's so gooood! I would have spent that amount at home sooner or later anyway. ;)

The rest of the day we took it easy. Beluga decided she wanted to watch "Desperado", so I joined her. I didn't really like that movie before either, appreciate it more, now that I've seen "El Mariachi". Kind of curious about "Once upon a time in Mexico", even though everybody I've talked to says it sucks.
When that was finished I said i wanted more action, so we watched "The Replacement Killers", which was so flawed that even a five year old could have spotted the big mistake! We spent the last 20 minutes of it, just mocking everything going on.
We had a little break after that, checked the news online and read a bit. When the parental units eventually went to bed, Beluga and I watched "The Cell". It was special to say the least, kind of funky. The story is very simple, but the visual effects are really good. Lots of good imagery.

This morning we got up early, as usual. Beluga, dad, my aunt, uncle and I went to Flo-markt and had another look around. It was much better this time. Lots to see, lot of junk, but some good stuff among the lot. Beluga found a cool (fake) leather jacket which looked really good. She got it for 5 Euro, she was cold, and needed a jacket, so why not? :) About 5 mins later we found another one, but this one was longer, looked kind of Matrixy. I got it for 5 Euro, I was cold too, plus it fit me rather well. :) Now I just need some dark clothes and sunglasses and I can fly through computer programs. :P

When we got back, we just got ready for a family gathering. My cousin came with her two kids. + Her sister in law with her husband and mother. Kasia's husband dropped by for a sec, but he had to get back to work. I spent most of the time with Kasia's 20 month old daughter, just making sure she didn't bother Ami too much and didn't draw all over the table instead of the paper.

When they all left we were ready for dinner, one of my aunt's mates dropped by to join us.
That's it for today. :) Tomorrow we're getting up really early and goin' on home. Am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, even though I had a great time down here. Have lots of preparations for my return to London as well. I leave next week, and then it gets serious, have three essays to write and I have to read for my exam as well... But until then I'm just going to enjoy the free-time I've got. ;)

Hey!

I'm just a little bored, so I thought I'd update my journal.

Had a trip in to Piccadilly Circus today, didn't really have much else to do. Spent a couple of hours just walking around. Went to the Odeon to ask when they would start sales of "Return of the King" tickets, the woman seemed a bit surprised, but the answer was sometime in November. Weird, they're already selling them back home in Norway, people we're in line weeks before sales started... doens't seem like such a big thing for the British. Weird.
After wards I just walked around for a bit. Ended up in a movie store I really like, they have all sorts of crazy things there. Anyway, noticed that a book I've been wanting had been set down from 30£ to 20£. I didn't buy it, yet. I'll have a look at my budget, but I'll probably go back and buy it soon.
They're having some kind of film festival in town now, would be ideal for me, but I'm not in the mood. Funny thing is when I had a look at the program I saw that they're showing "Buddy". It's a Norwegian film, very nice film actually, very good to be Norwegian. Guess the Norwegian film industry is getting better. :)

I'm thinking about going out again later today, but to another part of London, gotta see what I'm in the mood for. I'm not really in the mood to have Halloween people running around me right now.

I taped "Ring" last night, the Japanese, good, version, not that American crap. They're showing the second one tonight, haven't seen it, so I'm gonna tape it. Ok, the American version wasn't pure crap, but they screwed up some of the things that make the original so good. Like the video, and the girl. In the American vrs she speaks, and therefore she looses so much of the scariness. Ah, I'll stop now. Wish this would be my essay... Could have written a few pages on it. :P

Wow, the sun is peeping through some clouds and creating a great light effect on the houses outside, really pretty. Hm, felt like I was home for a second, don't know why. I hope Isen, Camelia and Lily are having fun. Must admit that I'm getting a bit annoyed with Camelia, I still haven't heard a peep from her.

Think I'll quit for now.
Bye peoples!
