Somehow my dad and I actually managed to install the new connection and everything yesterday. Think it's a first for this family that something like that has been done without any major trouble.
However our wireless connection doesn't work anymore, and we don't really know how to fix it. The computers find the signal and connects to the internett, but no info gets sent either way, so we can't surf the net. The 'status' light on the box isn't on, so I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it. Anybody have any ideas or tips they wanna share, as to what we can do to fix it?
All this means as of now is that I won't be able to be online as much anymore. Which will probably do me some good.
I know I haven't been the best commenter lately, and it'll probably get worse until we can get all this fixed.

wish i could help but i'm really NOT good with connecting computers and stuff. i just let my dad do it all :b i hope your wireless works soon :) warning though: you won't stand up anymore! you'll find yourslef stuck in bed with a laptop haha

Do you know if it is a wireless router or a wireless router/dsl modem you have?

If it's a router/modem then you have to type in your password and username (email address) when you first set it up or it won't work. The default password for the wireless-security side of things, should probably be the serial key written on the bottom of the router, or on your box, or in a book that comes with it.

If it's just the router on it's own it might be some other password problem, or something else...sorry.

I think it's a router and dsl modem.

We had the wireless up and running before on the old system, and it looks like it's running now, it just doesn't seem to be sending the info, which is weird. I have no idea where to change the password... I would have though a box asking for the new password would pop up though... I dunno.
Dad's talking to a friend on Sunday, so hopefully we'll get some answers. Thank you very much for your help though. *hugs*
