Thought I'd write a little bit about how the filming went.

Thursday, got to school a bit early, so ended up sitting and talking with Lumi. The rest of the group were late, as always, Lumi left since he's actually the editor and really doesn't have that much to do during shooting. We got our equipent and headed to the location, was on campus so not to far to go. We had all five actors there that night, but of course one of them had to head of to do somethign else, so that put a stop in things, he was the 'dead guy' though. It was rather cold outside, and we used a long time setting up, to long in my opinion, but done is done.
We managed to shoot what we could with the other guys while waiting for the 'dead guy'. Covered a lot, and hopefully Lumi will have something to choose from when he's going to edit. We finished that bit at about 20:00, then had a break till 21:00 which was when the 'dead guy' was supposed to be back, but he got delayed 30 minutes... we set up what we could, but had to wait, and by this time it was freezing outside. When he finally got there we had to shoot in a hurry since I had to run at 22:00. It was 2-3 short clips, but it took time. When we finally finished I just had to hit the off switch on the camera and head for the bus.

Have to tell you guys about one of the actors. He's called Aaron, and he's totally hyper. I think he has to be among the most hyper people I've ever met in my life. Short guy just totally bursting with energy, very carismatic though. Even managed to get a hug out of me at one point. Crazy! He was being a total goofball up until the point Tyrone yelled 'action', then he'd snap into character, and the second Tyrone said cut he'd be joking around again. I felt like now I know how it'd be to have Jim Carrey on set.

Happy that we got everything we needed that evening. When I finally got back to the house, it was time for bed, which was good because I was exhausted.

Getting up friday morning was hard. My body hurt, I actually felt kind of queasy, and my body felt really heavy. But I managed to get up anyway, and eat some breakfast before heading out.
I got there before everyone else, John arrived a while afterwards and told me Louisa would be late because her dad's car broke down. Which meant I had to catch the but to putney in a rush, because Benedicte, Marie and two of her friends were on they're way to be extras. I didn't have any credit on my cell phone, and therefore had to go meet them to get them clued in to what was going on. So I got to Putney, topped up my phone, and two secs later Benedicte calls wondering where the location is, so I had to run a couple of blocks to find them and bring them back to the bar where we were going to film. Crazy stuff. Lumi was already there, but went to a nearby cafe to wait. Anyways, we're left waiting outside the pub for quite some time, 30-60 minutes before the rest of the group finally show up and we get inside.
Then we set up and there was waiting while Tyrone coached the actors. And some more waiting, then something happens with the focus on the camera and we have to call the technnical help, they don't have anybody there, so they have to call us back. I try to figure out things on my own, while John (aka aftershave boy) decides to hover around the camera. At one point where I have to talk and explain to the girls what is the delay he sits down right by the camera, and just looks at it. I tell him he has to move so I can figure things out. He annoys me to no end. He should be with the sound equipment where he belongs. Anyway technical calls back and we get things fixed and can finally start shooting. Benedicte had to leave because she had an essay to write, but that was okay, we still had Marie and her two friends, plus Louisa's dad, so we managed.
Finally we began shooting, Aaron was back, as well as Matt, actually think they're pretty good. Aaron was not as hyper as Thursday, but as the day progressed he livened up. Marie and her friends were rather amused by him.
John bugged me again, during one scene he was standing so close to me to be able to record sound that the mixer-bag bumped into me while filming. At the end of the take I told him that he had actually blocked the light and cast a shadow on Matt's face during filming. and told him to move to the other side of the camera where he'd have a lot more room. He got in a huff, saying he wasn't blocking the light, but luckely Matt backed me up. John finally moved to the other side, but not before exclaiming "I can't understand why I can stay up here with Eva." I so wanted to kick him.
I would unplug two of the wires in the back of the camera when I had to move it, so I wouldn't trip or anything. One of those wires being sound, and John had to plug it back in. Well during a later take, I notice it's not plugged in and call off the scene saying the wire's not in. He says he didn't unplug it and I say that I unplug it everytime I move the camera and that I told him so. Assmonkey!
The shooting itself went very well, despit a little discussion with Tyrone about where to put the camera when shooting the other side of the conversation. We began shooting over Aaron's shoulder, and when it came time to shoot over Matt's shoulder we couldn't agree which shoulder would be the right one to shoot over. Louisa agreed with me, Lumi with Tyrone, so we decided to shoot it booth ways. Am still sure I'm right though.
Other than that everything went well, and Marie even got a small part, she had to get up from her table and walk past the guys. Think she was pleased with that. :) We we're shooting right up until the last second, making sure we had enough coverage. Am very happy with what we managed to get, and hopefully there will not be need for pick-ups of that scene.

When I got back to the house I was pretty tired. Imagine, that was supposed to be the last day of shooting, but we still have Monday and next friday. Will be so lovely to finish. I love the experience, and this is the first film I've made at Uni where I'm looking forward to seing the finished product.

So that's the exiting world of movie making. Marie thought it was really cool, and I was worried she and her friends would be bored. Hehe.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
