The story of a bored individual...

Had a good weekend. 
It's so nice to have my aunt here for a visit, sadly she'll be leaving on Wednesday. She might be coming back in december to celebrate christmas with us. I hope so, it would be a very nice way to spend our last christmas in this house. 

My parents have set our time to move out to no later than february 2007, so we have to find a place by then. We'll be showing the house to potential buyers sometime Wednesday afternoon. Not exactly looking forward to it, but we'll most likely not be here, so I don't have to watch.

On Saturday we looked at an apartment. It was very nice, even I have to admit that. I would get a similar setup to what I have now, so I really can't complain in any way. The only negative thing about it is that it's a way out of the city and it won't be that easy for beluga and isil80 just to pop by. Well, figure something out though. No reason to worry now anyway, if we want the place we'll have to wait a while. We kind of got a viewing before it's out on the market, so we can't do anything until they've had an official showing. It is a great apartment though.

Yesterday I went to the cinema with isil80, needed a break from some pre-editing work I was doing. We wathed 'The Devil Wears Prada'. It was an okay film, nothing spectacular. Slow paced, which isn't really a problem if you have a strong story, sadly it wasn't. I think this should have either focused more on the comedy aspect of it, or tried to get more serious and given a better picture of the people involved. It kind of lies somewhere in the middle and never fully achieves what it could have. That said it was a nice film, and I was very happy to be back at the cinema. Fun to get out for a little bit.

Have gotten some time off from work, the students will be out shooting their films so there's nothing for me to do.

I haven't got much more to tell, so I'll continue my norwegian artist pimping, some rock this time.

When my parents started this whole thing about wanting to move to a smaller apartement I figured they would take their time, and maybe I'd have a chance to start looking for one of my own before we actually had to leave the house. Seems I was way to optimistic. I've been honest with my parents, said I'm not happy with the situation, but I understand that they want something smaller. 
They put in on a bid on a place, it was a very nice flat, but they got outbid and left it alone. They've contacted the realtor so he can get started on the process of selling the house. As much as I love my parents, even in this house I sometimes feel that we're living to close, a little apartment won't help matters. It's also, that I've been moving back and forth from London for the last 3 years, I was finally looking forward to some stability, not having to think of moving for another year. And I'm uprooted again. I'm so tired of packing up my life and moving around. 
I feel like I can't fully relax here anymore, because I keep waiting to hear my parents tell me it's time to start packing again.
Just feeling a bit hopeless right now, only time will tell.

On the upside. I sent an application via post to Nordisk Film about a moth ago. So yesterday I checked the e-mail I set up for work purposes, and there was a mail from them asking me to send my CV via e-mail, so I would be easier to distribute in between the departments. This got my hopes up a little bit, hopefully there might be something for me there. It's in Oslo though, so I'd have to move, but to be honest since that would be moving to my own place I'd be happy. The more I think about it Oslo isn't a bad place to end up, I really didn't want to initially as I'm not to fond of Oslo, but I have friends there, and it's much easier to come home here to visit my family and friends than any of the other places. Cross your fingers for me?

beluga stopped by here yesterday, was very nice. We sat talking for a while, ended up watching an episode of 'Psych', followed by 'Supernatural: Faith', and the first two episodes of season 3 of 'House M.D.'.
On a side note: I've discovere that 'Psych' used a location that's been used in 'Supernatural'. I can provide photographic evidence if you wish.

Okay, and now for a little project I'm working on. Pimping norwegian artists. Behind the cut are three music videos from YouTube, featuring different Norwegian artists. Have a listen and look and see what you think. We all like finding new music don't we?

I'll keep posting vids like this every once in a while, have collected quite a few. Not all bands I like, but that doesn't mean you guys won't like 'em. Hope you find something that tickles your fancy.
