roguem: (X-Men - Wolverine claws What now)

Sometime back in August 2006 I asked which icons to make next, X3 won the poll, and now I've finally managed to be productive enough to post them, so enjoy!

All the cuts lead back to my icon journal, [personal profile] mukkianglia.

It's cut up into four parts which you can find HERE.

roguem: (Wolverine)

I've found more pictures from X3!
Enjoy! In here )

The picture of Pyro makes me happy, looks like Ratner is keeping a few things from the previous films, and that little thing somehow means a lot. :)

I've lost count of how many times I've seen the X3 trailer now. It's growing on me, I'm seing potential, not completely sold yet, but expectations are rising slightly.

I went to the official site and stole more character pictures. IN HERE )

From Sci-Fi Wire:

X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner told SCI FI Wire that a third movie in the Marvel Comics franchise is slated to begin filming in Vancouver, B.C., in June 2005, with a release date of May 2, 2006. "I just had a conversation with [director] Bryan [Singer] today," Shuler Donner said in an interview at the Saturn Awards in Los Angeles on May 5. "We just started to talk about what the possibilities are. We're pretty sure Wolverine's going to come back."

Shuler Donner added that she's going to push to add the new mutants Gambit and Beast this time around. "I'm dying to put Beast in," Shuler Donner said. "I tried to get Beast in the first one and the second one, but it was always too expensive. So, yeah, I'm really dying to get Beast in, and I'd love to get Gambit in, because he's such a cool guy. And there's some really good casting ideas for Gambit." She declined to say who was up for the role.

As for Halle Berry - the Oscar-winning actress who has said she's reluctant to return unless her character, Storm, has a lot more to do - Shuler Donner said, "I certainly hope so, because I love working with her. ... We would only write a big huge role for her, so she's right in that respect, and we would make sure that that would happen."

Donner also confirms that writing duo Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris (X2) will return to pen the third entry, which will focus at least somewhat around Jean Grey's (Famke Janssen) transformation into the powerful entity Dark Phoenix. Hit the link below to read it yourself!

Hugh Jackman, who will likely reprise the role of Wolverine in a proposed third X-Men movie, confirmed to SCI FI Wire that the sequel is in the works, but that the story has yet to be locked down. "I know they're in discussions about it," Jackman said in an interview while promoting his next movie, Van Helsing. "They're trying to work out schedules and things like that."
The last film in the Marvel Comics-based franchise, X2, ended with the death of Jean Grey and the hint of the comics' Dark Phoenix storyline, in which Grey transforms into a powerful and evil mutant. Will the third X-Men movie pick up that thread? "There's no script yet, so I'm not sure," Jackman said in reply.

Jackman also talked with DAILY RECORD about the future film:
"I don't have to do it because i was only on a two-picture deal, but there's no script yet so I don't know. If I was a betting man, I'd say I would probally do X-MEN 3.

James Marsden spoke to DIRECT TV GUIDE about his possible future in the X-Men films. He also confirms that he is not yet signed for an X3:
"Hopefully with the loss of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) in the second film and her potential return as a different character (the evil Dark Phoenix), we might be able to delve into the emotional side of Cyclops a bit more. I'm not signed yet for X3. I've recieved word that they're interested in having me in X3, and I'd be very happy to be a part of it."

I know many people hate the idea of bringing Cyclops more in to the spotlight, but I think it could work if they brought forth some of his past as well...

Don't really have much to write about. Just felt that my last post ended so abrubtly...
Am alone again today, Camelia has some group-work to get done, so that leaves me time to waste online. It really is a sad existence.

Saw a Chinese movie at school today, the critically acclaimed "In The Mood For Love". Man, that movie was boring! Nothing happened, at all! Why is it that movies where nothing happens get great reviews... well dramas and such that is. I don't know, anyways... I was bored out of my mind. Am looking forward to seeing "Memento" in two weeks. Think that's the only movie I want to see.
Hopefully the viewing list will pick up after Christmas. *Fingers crossed*

Haven't really done much... saw "X-Men" on ITV yesterday, that was great fun, except for the constant commercials and a news thing in the middle of it all. Tried to record it, but it started to late, the recording started right after Wolverine's "escaped" from Jean Grey and gets in the elevator. I've got the movie on DVD, so I shouldn't complain, it's just that's it's a region 1 disk, and I can't change the region on the computer too many more times... in fact I think I've only got one change left. Am on the hunt for a patch...

Don't really have much more to report, am getting a little worried... Camelia said she'd be home an hour ago. I don't have my mobile with me at present, so there's probably a message waiting for me.

Now I'm just looking forward to the weekend.
